"Yea , you're right." I said " that's Prince Liam's mate".

"Mate?? What's that" Elia said.

" It's like a partner or wife as you said, someone who you spend the rest of your life with forever" I explained.

" How did you know about that" Elia said still looking down at Magnus and Liam who were saying something we can't hear.

"Derek told me" I said and I felt something touched my feet and I jumped out of fear.

"Oh my God" I said holding my chest when I saw that it was my rabbit.

"What happened" Elia asked me

"Sorry, the rabbit rubbed it's back on my feet" I said walking closer to the rabbit and picked it up and caressed it's back "hey there you must be hungry" I said .

"How are you going to feed it" Elia asked me as she moved away from the window and sat on the bed.

" I'll ask Venetia to bring me carrots" i said as I rang a little bell connected to the wall, Derek said I could use the bell to call Venetia whenever I need her.

Not long after Venetia came in with her head hunged low and holding both of her hands in front of her " you called for me Milady".

"Yes, can you get me carrots, I want to feed my rabbit"

" please give me some minutes to go get the carrots Milady" Venetia said bowing her head and left.

When she left I went and sat down beside Elia as I put the rabbit on my laps. "Isn't it great on how our life changed, from a slave to a fine lady" Elia said to me as she fell back on the bed and spread out her hands.

"Yeah it's great, we have all the food we want, beautiful dresses, a place to sleep , it's really wonderful. I never thought that one day I'll have to enjoy life like this with you Elia" I said

" Me too, but I never expected us to be in a place like this filled with giants shapeshifters and only few humans like us, which some of them are maids we can't even talk to " Elia said.

"Yea but it's still better than that slaves prison" I said and just then the door opened and Venetia came in with fresh carrots in her hands.

"Thank you " I said and began feeding my rabbit "where did you get it from".

"From the kitchen Milady" she answered.

"Why do you always cover your face with a net" Elia suddenly asked as she sat up on the bed.

" It's the tradition here Milady, for every maids to cover our face with a net, it is forbidden to leave your face open without a net" Venetia answered facing Elia.

" But why? "I asked this time, the rabbit has finished eating the first carrot I gave it and started eating the second one, it must really be hungry.

"I don't know Milady".

" But what about your family" I asked.

"I'm an orphan Milady, my parents and sisters were killed, I woke up one morning and saw thier corpse outside our house one day, I didn't know what killed them, it's a miracle I was left alive".

" And you didn't know what happened and how they were killed today" I asked feeling sorry for her.

" No milady".

"Oh my God, that's awful , I'm sorry about that" Elia said.

"We're sorry about your family" I said

" does queen Clarissa knows you're here"

"Yes Milady" .

" Is that why you came to work here in the castle" Elia asked

" Yes Milady".

" Does she threaten you" I asked

" No Milady".

"Alright you can go" I said and she bowed her head and left.

" I feel bad for her" Elia said When Venetia left.

" me too ".

I felt bad for Venetia, she was just like Elia, an orphan too but the difference was that Elia family were killed by her uncle and also sold just like me by the same uncle who killed her parents.

"Aria"

"I really want to see outside, you know I haven't stepped out of this room since the time I woke up".

" It's dangerous for us to go out Elia, what if we end up meeting the queen or a giant" I said.

" We will hide, advantage of being small right" Elia said grinning.

" we're not really small Elia" I said as I laughed a little, the rabbit on my laps fell asleep already, it's seems to like me caressing it's back.

"Please Aria ,I want to see outside, we will come back before night falls pleaseeeeee" .

" Alright, alright, but first come let's go change to a must simpler dresses" I said and Elia beamed in smiles.

We dressed in simple, short dresses. I wore a white sleeveless dress with my blue fur coat on as always. While Elia wore a yellow dress same as the one I wore and her grey coat on.

They were part of the dresses Derek got for me, we were out of the room as we descend down the stairs.we got to the big wide hall. " Wow, it's so big and wide. Oh and very tall ". Elia said.

" Yes it is, come let me show you the garden" I said dragging her by the hand.

We got to the long passage way ,we were running till we got to the garden.

" wooow , it's beautiful " Elia said in awe looking around as we walked into the garden.

" Yes , it is ".

" Wow look at this greenish flower, it has like a water droplet inside it's petal"

" Yea , tantum flower" I

said.

" That one is called celem flower" I pointed at an orange flower

" How did you know about it, too bad I can't pluck it".

" Prince Liam told me about most of the flowers here" I said.

" yeah right, the flowers are so tall and huge" Elia said.

" Yes very tall like trees" and then I heard the last voice I wanted to hear.

" Well , Ain't you brave to come out here in the garden" it was queen Clarissa.

" Who's that" Elia whispered to me from behind.

"She's the Queen" I whispered back to her.

"Oh , let's greet her then" Elia whispered to me again.

"Good morning your highness" we said together".

" oh you can talk , I thought you were dumb" Clarissa said . " And who's this ,your fellow witch who has bewitched my son Hmmm?".

" She's my friend" I said not Liking the way she's talking to Elia, she talk to me however she likes but not Elia.

"Did I ask you talk " she snapped at me " and don't you dare look me in the eyes".

"I see Derek has spoilt you but he's not here to save you now right" she said smiling but not a friendly one.

And then she started walking close to use as the smile fell from her face and her eyes turned red.

I've seen Derek's eyes red before when his angry, this is not good " run Elia" I said as I pulled Elia and we started running deeper into garden which looked like a forest to us.

"That's right run" Clarissa said with an evil smirk playing on her lips as she shifted into a black panther and chased after us.

"Why is she chasing us" Elia asked while we were running.

" I don't know but I know that she didn't like me since the first time she knew I was here in the castle" I said as my breathing was getting harsh

We ran and ran till we couldn't run again, Clarissa seems to be having fun chasing us and then I heard Elia screamed behind me.

When I turned around I saw that Clarissa already shifted to her human form as she held Elia by her neck smiling mischievously, her eyes were still red.

" Don't hurt her" I said as tears already welled up in my eyes as I saw the pain Elia was going through.

"Or what?" She said and I don't know what happened but Clarissa was already in front of me as she slapped me hard on my face.

I fell down as I hit my butt on the ground spitting blood out of my mouth turning my lips red.

"I've told you not to speak back to me" she dragged me by my hair to look up to her.

" Ahhh" I screamed cause I could feel my hair pulling out of my scalp, it hurt so bad. ' Derek please come back' I said in my mind.

"MOTHER" I heard prince Liam's angry voice and Clarissa released my hair as I fell back on the hard ground.

I felt Liam picked me up from the ground before I passed out on his arms.

"What are you doing mother " Liam said angrily.

"What do you think I'm doing and don't you raise your voice at me I'm your mother and the queen of Naal city" Clarissa flared up.

" Then behave like one, Aria didn't do anything to you and you kept on torturing the girl" Liam said

" Oh that's her name, she did something to me Liam I would never accept her into our family".

" Pray Derek doesn't finds out what you did to his mate".

And then Elia coughed rubbing her neck as she stood up from the ground.

"Who's this?" Liam asked his mother.

"Her fellow witch" Clarissa said and Liam rolled his eyes , he knew he would waste his time asking his mother.

"Who are you " Liam asked Elia.

"Uhumm... I'm... My name is Elia Peters" Elia introduce herself, it was so scary to be facing a giant and a giantess. Atleast the giant seems to be sane as he held Aria with care in his arms not the insane giantess queen.

"how did you get here or are you Aria's friend" Liam asked and this time Clarissa rolled her eyes.

"Quit wasting time on this worthless humans" she said.

"Come with me" Liam said as he walked passed his mother ignoring her.

Elia quickly followed Liam without wasting a seconds. But then somewhere in the garden someone was watching Elia as she followed Liam inside the castle.
