Ascension The Last Heir

Chapter 01

10 years later...

Meanwhile in an archaeological site in the province of Sindh, Pakistan...

The two scientist who work for MORPHfYS Corporations, Dr. Clive Sanders and Dr. Linda Richard are working in the site doing their daily routine, Dr. Sanders is assisting through comm transmission while Dr. Richard is exploring the site.

"So, how's the tour going on?" asked Dr. Sanders through the comm in the surface. "A little boring actually, you got something on the GPS?" asked Dr. Richard who is inside the excavation site. "Nah, same old stuff, so after this is over, do you wanna grab dinner? Asked Dr. Sanders.

"Can we concentrate on our mission Dr. Sanders...? (Dr. Richard's GPS seems to pick up some strange reading) ...Hold on are you picking this up?" asked Dr. Richard.

"Yeah, (Dr. Sanders also seem to pick up the strange reading) it's the same reading but this time it's ten times more, the signal seems to be strong on the west side." Replied Dr. Sanders. "I'm heading there now." said Dr. Richard. "Wait, it could be dangerous... (The comms cut off) Linda? Linda respond, are you there? “Asked Dr. Sanders.

After few moments, Dr. Richards replies. "Clive? (She doesn't have any response) Shit... Well here goes nothing." said Dr. Richards who then starts to walk.

As she proceeds to the west side, she notices strange ruins and glyphs which were not there before. She comes across an opened passage which was a wall earlier in the west side seems to have opened a passage, she then proceeds through the passage as she stumbles across many artifacts and ruins.

She then observes and proceeds through until to the point where she observes a huge door right next to her. It seems to have built out of a material never seen on Earth, the huge door is full of markings and glyphs which seems to be Foreign and not of this world.

As she begins to touch the door, she then witnesses a strange figure is observing from behind, she turns back immediately thinking it was Dr. Sanders but is disappointed when no one was there, just then the strange figure begins to move through the shadows from behind which scares Dr. Richard.

 "Who's there?" asked Dr. Richard frighteningly. No reply came.

She begins to hear strange whispers all around her, she then pushes the door slowly and she gets scared to death when the shadowy figure begins to come out of the shadows within the door and directly towards her,

 Dr. Richard seeing gets terrified as she quickly pulls back the door and turns back as she plans to retreat from the site. “To hell with this." said Dr. Richard as he begins to run away from the door. As she runs, she notices the strange whispers noises seem to grow louder and louder over time,

then the whispers become clear as she begins to hear them much louder, then she realizes the whispers were actually calling out to her, she ignores and keeps running but then she notices the figure following directly towards her from the back.

She runs as fast as she could and knocks herself in front of a person and both of them fell down, she immediately gets up and approaches towards the person and is relieved when she sees Dr. Sanders who was actually that person who has come looking for her as soon as the comms went down.

 "You scared the s**t of out of me, why weren't you responding?" asked Dr. Sanders as he gets up with Dr. Richard's help. "Th... The comms are down, look we have to go NOW!" replied Dr. Richard who holds his hand and tries to pull him with her. "What's going on, are you okay?" asked Dr. Sanders who is shocked to see her frighteningly scared.

"Come on!" replied Dr. Richard as she runs out of the ruins while dragging Dr. Sanders's hand which drags him with her. Suddenly both of them begins to hear whispers, this time it is much louder and in a threatening tone, the whispers seem to come from everywhere, even from the walls,

Which keeps calling them but she ignores it and runs as fast as possible with Dr. Sanders who is also scared as hell. The walls then starts to crush them from within as the passage begins to close. They keep running despite the obstacles and finally managed to get out of the passage before it gets get shut. The two of them take a breath after running for so long

 "What was that?" asked Dr. Sanders who had no clue what was going on. "I have no idea." replied Dr. Richard "Whatever it is, we better call this in." said Dr. Sanders as he begins to take a sort of circular shaped technological communication device with MORPHfYS logo, he then presses the red button which activates the mechanism and a response come from the device signaling that backup is on the way.
