Sam’s pov
I can’t believe Halley wants to talk to me, I am sure it is a good thing she did not look angry or upset with me anymore. She is nervous, I can tell tell that much. I couldn’t wait for the food to be over when I heard there was going to be a meeting I was conflicted as I knew it was about Aria’s safety but Shane linked me and said he will fill me in after and that I didn’t need to be there.
We walked quietly to a park and went to a seat on a bench. A few families were there, but no one was near us, I could tell Halley was getting even more nervous through our bond.
I just wanted to wrap my arms around her and comfort her, but I was worried she would push me away, so I just placed my hand gently on her shoulder, hoping that it would calm her a bit.
