**Seraphina**
Ugh. I really need to stop fainting and waking up like this. It hurts.
'Sera, I'm hungry. Can we go get some food?'
'Wait, let me get my bearings first, okay? Can you wait a bit Solana? I know you're hungry.'
'Yes, I can wait.'
I was snapped from my conversation with Solana when the door to the room opened and I saw my mate with a huge tray of food.
*grrrrrr... grrrrrr...
I blushed at the sound of my stomach rumbling. That was seriously embarrassing. I just covered my face after that. My mate chuckled when he saw my reaction.
"Here, I don't want to starve you. I also bet Solana is hungry as well. Raine says hi."
He set the table that he brought with the tray in front of me and placed the different foods he got from the kitchen. My eyes were sparkling at the sight of them. There was sweet and sour pork, fried chicken, lots of bacon, and everything that he could get his hands on.
There was also dessert, some sort of jelly. Wait, that's not jelly. It's tiramisu. I've never had tasted that before. I wonder what they taste like? But can I finish all these?
"Am I only one to eat all of these? Have you eaten?"
"If you want to eat it all, I won't stop you. Though I also want to eat some of those, if you'll allow me." He bowed at me. He's trying to annoy me but it has the opposite effect. I laughed out loud and threw him a small nugget. He caught it in mid-air and ate it.
He also laughed, and sat in front of me to help me eat the food he brought. We played the 21 questions game and were laughing so loud at some of the things we were sharing until all the food was eaten.
We cleared the table, put the plates and utensils on the tray and cleared the bed. Claude did a mind-link with someone to change the sheets of the bed while we brought the tray back to the kitchen.
After that, Claude told me that we need to attend to a strategy meeting. I gave him a confused look. A strategy meeting for what? He said he'll explain to me when we get there. I followed him into what seems like the library. There were a lot of older wolves in there.
Mira and the others were there as well. What is happening? All of their auras are so dark. The once vibrant colors went dark and dull. I can feel it. They're desperate, like the sleeping maiden.
When they noticed our presence, all of them turned around and stared at us. No, scratch that, they were staring at me. I've got to admit, they have a pretty intimidating presence, so much intimidating that I actually hid behind Claude.
I've never been fazed, even by a large group of people. These wolves are really different from the humans I grew up with. Claude seems to have seen my actions. He turned around to look at me and tol me,
"Don't worry. They won't hurt you. I'll be here to protect you."
He kissed my forehead and held my hand. We went to the head of the table and sat. Everybody followed suit and sat as well. The tension is high. What is going to happen?
"Sera, look at me."
He must have sensed that I was about to have a panic attack. I looked at him and saw him smile. I will be okay. I chant that in my head. Even Solana is helping me chant.
"Do you remember what happened in the dining hall?"
Dining hall? Last thing I remember was being tossed to the side by someone and passing out. So I shook my head, telling him no.
"I don't remember. Why? What happened?"
"Someone spoke using your body, doll. She told us it time to act on the prophecy, time to fulfill it. I'm guessing you don't know the prophecy, right doll?" Annie
"Nope, can't say I do."
"The prophecy states that a she-wolf would be the trigger of a cataclysmic war. A she-wolf of purest silver with sapphire swirls all over her wolf. And eyes of purest gold with different colors swirling into its abyss. She will be the key to our victory." Mira
"We have already confirmed your eyes, but we need to confirm if your wolf is the one in the prophecy." Alpha Daniel
"You mean to say that I need to shift right now?"
"Yes, love. If it is okay with you."
I looked at each of them straight in the eyes. They were desperate, and hopeful. I nodded and stood from the table. Unlike other wolves who need to strip before they could shift, I don't need to strip in order to shift. My clothes automatically transform into some sort of collar.
I shifted and showed them my wolf. They all gasped when I was done shifting. I hate this, being on display for all. I went and buried my muzzle in the crook of Claude's neck. Solana definitely likes her mate.
He stroked my head and fur to calm me down.
"You can shift back, my love. Your beautiful."
I did what Claude told me and shifted back in human form. I returned to my seat only to be stared at again. Why do they always stare?
"Can you stop staring. You're creeping me out. I'm already creeped out with the darkening of your auras. They all turned into dull and dark shades of the colors they used to be."
They did the exact opposite and stared some more. I gave them my most deadly stare. I know they sensed my aura increasing because they all stopped staring when I did that.
"Thanks. Now can someone explain to me why all of you are desperate? It's overflowing in buckets right now."
"You finally show your true colors. Why do you act weak when you know you're not? Who are you fooling?" Alpha Daniel
"Whatever do you mean Alpha Daniel?"
"Don't do that, I might have to kill my dad if he lays a single claw on you."
"Fine. I admit it, I was acting before. But the faintings were real. I did it so that no one from where I grew up will suspect something is different with me. They need to think that I am human, and not a werewolf."
I said that with enough attitude so that they won't question me anymore. I hate being questioned. I like to do the questioning, and not the other way around.
"So can we go back to the topic at hand? Why are you all desperate? I've already heard about the prophecy from my parents before. That's why I've hiding my true strength because I didn't want to be the one in the prophecy. I've just shifted and I haven't met may mate that time yet. And I've also been having these dreams."
"I was in the middle of a huge room in an abandoned mansion. There was someone standing, she seems to be sleeping upright, with shackles on both of her hands and feet. I couldn't see where the chains end. She keeps on repeating to find her and release her. She said that I need to find "him". I don't know who the him is..."
And then it dawned on me. I looked at my mate in the eyes. He's the one I should find.
"You're him. You're the one the maiden was referring to."
He smiled, and said. "Yes. I've also been looking for you."
"Where do we need to go?"
My mate just smiled to me the most calming smile. I can be safe when I'm with him.
