Chapter 7

**Seraphina**

Ugh. I have a huge headache. What just happened?

'We found our mate. He's beside us, Sera.'

I looked to the side and she was right. He was there. Looking at me like I'm the most precious thing in the world. I can't explain this feeling.

"Hello there, love. How are you feeling?"

He's looking at me intensely. It made me smile.

"I have a headaceh, but other than that, I'm fine. Thank you. What happened?"

"You suddenly fainted, love."

"And guess what happened while you were sleeping?"

I hadn't noticed we have company. It was Mira who asked the question. I gave a look to continue what she was talking.

"You're mate almost choked Blaze to death. Good thing we arrived in time to stop him. I almost lost my mate, doll." Annie

I was honestly amused at what I heard. I looked at Blaze and saw hand marks on his neck. He must have had a hard time to breathe.

"You're amused." Bella

"Sorry, I didn't mean to. Was it because of earlier in the cafeteria?l

I can see my mate straining to control his wolf from taking over. So before anything happens, I took his face in my hands and forced him to look at me.

"Calm down. I wasn't hurt, okay? Let it go."

"How could I when he hurt you, my mate and future Luna of the pack."

My eyes widened at that. Luna? So my mate is the Alpha of the pack?

"Luna? You're Alpha Daniel's son?"

**Seraphina**

Hmm, smells so nice. So soft, so warm. Wait a minute. Soft? What just happened? Wait, wait, wait. The last thing I remember was falling asleep on Claude's back. Why is it soft when it should have been hard?

I woke up suddenly and realized that I was in a room. More precisely, Claude's. I was taught to be a light sleeper. What is happening to me? Are my senses getting dull already? But still, his room smells so nice. His scent is everywhere. Where is he anyway?

'Hello, love. Had a nice sleep?'

'Who's that?'

'It's me. Claude. Haven't you experienced a mind-link before?'

'No. This would be the first. Where are you?'

'Missed me already?'

'Uh-huh. And why am I in your room and not mine?'

'Starting today, you'll sleep there. Your things are already ther, didn't you see?'

Now that he mentioned it, I did see my things. Including my little altar for my parents. But if my things are here, who brought them?

'Who brought my things, Claude?'

'I had Mira and the gang to transfer your stuff. Don't worry. Nobody saw your undies.'

'You didn't happen to see them as well, right?'

He took a long while before he replied.

'Just one. It was halfway out of the bag.'

'WHAT UNDERWEAR DID YOU SEE?!!'

'Secret. I really want to see you in them though.'

Oh, Goddess. I'm going to m******e him if ever I see him. I'm so embarrassed. Normally, I wouldn't care whoever sees my undies. But it is embarrassing that my mate actually saw them. I just hoped it's not one of my lingerie.

'Where are you?'

'I'm in my dad's study. Come here. They want to meet my mate.' 

'I don't know where.'

'I'll show you.'

I was confused when he said that. But then, I suddenly saw a map in my mind and I knew where to go. I took a quick shower and changed into something comfortable. I followed the map and knocked on the door. There were footsteps on the other side and saw my mate's handsome face when he opened the door.

I smiled when I saw him. He just took my hands and dragged me to meet his parents. As if I didn't already meet them.

"Well, look who's here. Seraphina, dear. Welcome to the family." Alpha Daniel said to me.

"I finally have a daughter! Give us lots of grandpups, okay? I want to be a grandma already." Luna Alicia practically squealed those words. He hasn't marked and mated me yet, and she is already talking about pups. I just laughed at her words. I'm just so happy right now.

"Mom, dad. You're overwhelming her. Let's talk about pups some other time. Let's go down to dinner. Everybody is waiting. They want to meet their future Luna."

"Yes, let's go celebrate the occasion." Luna Alicia, honestly, she is more excited than me.

"Excuse my mate, she's weird that way."

"No, it's fine. I'm just a little bit overwhelmed, that's all. I never imagined that I would find my mate."

They just smiled. They even hugged me. We went downstairs to eat dinner. All throughout that time, Claude has never let go of my hand. I'll remember to tell him that I won't disappear from him.

When we arrived at the dining hall, I saw everybody standing. Some were even saluting, they must be pack warriors. When we pass by them, they all bowed. I was creeped out by this gesture. I thought these things only happen if you're royal.

I never knew they also did that here. Claude saw my reaction and talked to me via mind-link.

'That's how they show respect to the Alpha and his family. That already includes you, since you're my mate.'

'I don't want them to bow to me. I just don't like it. Can you abolish that when you become Alpha?'

'If you wish, then yes. I'll abolish it. But bear with for now, okay?'

I nodded in answer. We continued walking until we arrived at a raised platform with a table at the center of it. I'm guessing that everybody who sitting at that table are the families and of the Beta, Gamma, and Omega since I see all of our friends there.

Annie, waved to me. I waved back at her. Bella gave me a smile, and Mira winked at me. I smiled to them nontheless.

When we were at the center, Alpha Daniel cleared his throat and told everybody to sit down. At that, the hall exploded in sounds of people dragging chairs out from under the tables. It's annoying. Oh, Goddess. Why am I so sensitive today?

"We are here today to celebrate a simple occasion. My son and future Alpha, has found his mate. Everybody, meet Seraphina."

Everybody clapped after the Alpha said that. Some of them even hooted. Claude then raised his hands and everybody settled down.

"Thank you for greeting your future Luna with enthusiasm..."

I never heard the next words that Claude said because I was suddenly yanked out of my body. Well not literally, but more like someone shoved me into a corner and made me watch what they were doing to my body. Something like that. And I blacked out.

**Claude**

I wasn't able to finish my speech because Sera started to float. Her eyes started to glow, showing everybody the different colors swirling into the deep abyss of her eyes. She opened her mouth and said these words.

"It is time. The prophecy has to fulfilled or you will all suffer."

She floated down so she is at eye level with me. She then turned to me and said, "You will help her realize her destiny. You will go on a journey west, to the forbidden caves. Bring her with you for she is in grave danger. Your enemies want her dead, and you need her to find me. You can bring no more than six comrades to aid you on this journey."

"While these go west, the enemy approaches in the east and south. They number in the thousands. You must prepare for a siege. That is all that I can tell you."

Her eyes stopped glowing, and she fell fromasleep her position. Fortunately, I was there to catch her. There is no stopping everybody from staring and whispering. I hoped they understood what was said to them.

It's her. It really is her. I took her in my arms and left without a word. I had to keep her safe. That's what I should do. I smelled my mate just calm my raging feelings right now. Why does it have to be her? Why now? It's just unfair.
