Getting Lucia Back to Pack Grounds

Anthony’s POV

Somehow Lucian was filled in on Brian’s plan for takeover and it was effectively stopped before it even got a chance to get started.  This really put a monkey wrench in our plans to infiltrate an already vulnerable pack.  However, it didn’t meat that our plans couldn’t work out after all.  We just had to bump up the time line and since Lucia was already carrying my pup it made her bonded to me without her knowing it.  All I needed to do was convince her that we needed to go back to her pack because that is where she was needed and since Brian had tired to hurt her brother she needed to go back to testify against him.  “But you don’t understand it will destroy Lucian to know how much Brian hurt me.”  “Honey,” I cooed to her softly “he already knows.  He told you himself that he saw the video of it happening.  There was also proof that he was trying to kidnap the Luna to weaken your brother.  I don’t think your testimony could make the betrayal any worse.”  She sighed into my chest “I guess your right.  It would be nice to go back home.  It would be nice to be around my mom with the pregnancy and when the baby comes.”  She was convinced to go back home and I couldn’t be happier.

Later that night after she fell asleep my hand grazed her stomach where my pup was growing.  While I didn’t want anything to do with the woman who was carrying the pup I did love my pup.  When this was all said and done I know that my true mate will help me raise him or her after getting rid of it’s mom.  Odds were that since Lucia was a blessed wolf my pup would be blessed as well and that would only work in our favor as he or she would be completely under our control.  However, I noticed that she seemed to be showing more than a wolf who was only a month pregnant should be.  Wolves are only pregnant for five months but still she shouldn’t be showing this much.  I just shook my head and figured it was because she was so small and the pup was going to be an Alpha pup.  I quietly slipped away from the bed so that I could go make my late night call to my Alpha.  Lately the only way I could discuss plans with him was when Lucia was sleeping.  The pregnancy made her needy and clingy and if she was awake she was pinned to my side.  I f*****g hated it.  I didn’t want her touching me but I had to keep up the act.  When I finally got the video call to connect I was elated.  “How is it going over there?”  my Alpha asked me with a deep voice.  “It’s great I finally convinced her to go back to the pack house.  Since we are supposedly mates and she’s carrying my pup I’m a shoo in for the Beta position.”  My Alpha made a face and said “about the pup.”  This couldn’t be good I thought as he gave me the devastating news.  I couldn’t believe my ears after all this time faking it because I was certain it was my pup the tests came back she was actually pregnant before I got with her.  I was under orders to get rid of that pup and get busy creating my own asap.  I went back to the room and Lucia was sleeping soundly.  I would start working on getting rid of the pup tomorrow.

Lucia’s POV

I felt Anthony get out of bed once again.  He had been doing this almost every night for the last few weeks.  At first it didn’t bother me because I knew I was being clingy and he needed some space.  But for some reason tonight I couldn’t help myself and I quietly got out of bed to go and see what he was doing.  He made video call to some guy.  He kept referring to him as Alpha.  They were talking about my brother and my home pack.  This caught my attention and I listened in to their conversation.  I was devastated at what I was hearing.  My mate was planning on helping another Alpha take over my pack and kill my brother and our whole family.  Anthony said the only consolation he had in enduring being with me was the fact that I was carrying his pup.  I was devastated he didn’t’ love me he was only tolerating me because I was pregnant.  I wanted to cry and then I heard his Alpha clear his throat.  “About the pup.  We did the lab tests like you asked.  It’s a male pup but I’m afraid it isn’t your pup.  According to measurements Lucia was pregnant before you got with her which means the pup is Lucas’ pup and not yours.  We have to get rid of it as soon as possible because that pup could tie her to him and not you.  Once you get rid of the pup you need to get her pregnant again with your pup this time.  It’s the only was we can bind her powers if she comes into them.  After the pup is born we can rid ourselves of the girl because the pup would be under our control.”  I couldn’t believe what I heard and my hand instinctively went to my stomach to protect my baby.  I rushed back to the room and pretended to be asleep before Anthony came back.  Tomorrow I would leave this place.  How could I stay when I had just learned that my supposed mate was intending harm to my family, my pup and even myself.

Amber’s POV

I woke up to a text message from Lucia “I’m leaving Anthony he is up to no good.  I know we have had our issues but can I please come back to your place?”  “What the hell is going on?  Of course you can stay here as long you like you know that.  I love you like a sister.”  “To much to explain in text I will tell you all of it in person when I see you.  Give me about two hours and I should be there.  I’m hoping to get away while Anthony is out of the house.”  My heart was beating erradictly I didn’t know what had happened but I had a feeling that it couldn’t be good.  I sent a text message to both Ronnie and Vlad “Lucia is moving back in with me.  She was cryptic and said something had happened between her and Anthony.  She’s sneaking out from him this is bad guys.”  Both of the guys responded that they would be right ove to my place so I got up, put on some coffee and waited for them.  When they arrived Ronnie asked me when she was supposed to be here and I replied “she said about two hours ago and that was about an hour ago so in the next hour.”  Vlad looked at me and said “I don’t have a good feeling about this.  If she isn’t here in one hour I’m shimmering over to where she is to make sure she’s ok.  You guys should follow in your cars.”  We both agreed.  One hour later Lucia wasn’t at my place and wasn’t answering my phone calls or my texts.  I looked at Vlad and without a word he disappeared.  Just as we were getting into the car he shimmered back to tell us that we needed to meet him at the hospital that’s where he was going to shimmer Lucia to.  Confused we went straight to the hospital. What we were met with horrified us.  My friend was battered and bloodied beyond any means.  She was unconscious and the doctors weren’t sure if she was going to make it.  I called her family to tell them she was in the hospital.  Her mom said she would be there as soon as possible.  I told her mom I had a vampire friend that could shimmer there and shimmer her back and she agreed.  Vlad took off right away for Lucia’s mom.

Anthony’s POV

I had woken up early to hit the gym.  I usually took about three hours for my normal workout.  But something felt off with Lucia today so I cut it short by and half.  When I arrived back at the house I spotted Lucia packing boxes into her car.  I walked up to her and asked her what she was doing.  “It’s not going to work between us.  I’m not expecting your child and you know it.  You are planning on doing something horrible to my family and my baby and I won’t let you.”  I saw red.  I grabbed her by her hair and drug her back inside.  My walls were sound proof so nobody would hear her screams.  While it would be a big dent to our plans I had to get rid of this b***h now before she could expose us to her brother.  I threw her against the wall and she spit up a little blood.  “Is that all you got remember it’s going to take more than a little wall to get rid of me.  Someone before you has already tried and failed to kill me.  I will kill you before I let you harm my family.”  With that I got even angrier and let my wolf out.  He went to town on her clawing and biting her.  Jumping on her with his paws after several minutes she stopped moving and her breathing became shallow.  It wouldn’t be long we could hear the death rattle in our ears.  I shifted back to my human self and looked at her in disgust.  I called my Alpha to tell him what happened.  “It’s a shame but we can use this to our advantage.  Your mate was attacked by rogues in your home.  When you arrived you found her already dead.  Go take a shower and then get out of there for a while.  Make the story plausible.”  I did exactly as the Alpha told me and went to take a shower.  When I got out of the shower and was heading out the front door I looked over to where I had left that worthless b***h and she was no where to be seen.  Where the f**k did she go?  She wasn’t in any shape to leave on her own.  Then I caught the scent of a vampire in my house.  Her f*****g friend found her.  s**t this is going to be bad very bad.  Before I connected with my Alpha on this I needed to figure out what was happening with her.
