Krystal thought that she was alone in the forest. She froze and heightened all her senses when she heard a noise that she's sure didn't come from me.
“Who’s there?!” she asked and prepared herself for any sign of ambush or rogue attack.
“Krystal?” A soft, familiar voice spoke.
“Bianca?” she whispered, and upon hearing her name being called, Bianca came out of the tree she’s been hiding from.
“Krystal!” Bianca looked at her with wide eyes. She was not expecting to see her here.
Krystal couldn't believe that after all these years, she would see her here once again. Instead of acknowledging her presence, Krystal ignored her and turned left, as if she didn't notice her there.
Krystal had no time for this. After all the things that happened to her earlier, can't she be alone and enjoy her life by herself?
First, her half-sister, then now her deceitful maid. She had met the two people who stole her fiances in one day.
Interesting.
“Krystal, wait!” Bianca ran towards her and grabbed her arm forcefully. “Please Krystal, just hear me out,” she pleaded with her innocent looking face, but don’t let that fool you.
“Leave. I don’t wish to talk to you," Krystal told her coldly.
“Please, let me explain. You also deserve an explanation.”
“I don’t want to hear more lies from your mouth, Bianca. Just leave me alone, we shouldn't see each other anymore," Krystal told her without looking into her eyes.
“Please Krystal, it’s been a year. Isn’t our friendship worth more than that?” Bianca asked, her voice croaked at the end.
Krystal scoffed at her question. “Friendship? Was there really friendship between us from the start? It seems to me that you were able to betray me easily? How can you call that friendship when you were a fake all along?"
Bianca lowered her head in shame. “I’ve made a mistake, Krystal. I admit I am wrong. It’s been so long since I’ve last talked to you. You are my first friend and I miss that friend I used to have,” she pleaded, and Krystal saw tears sprang up her eyes.
Krystal avoided her gaze from her and stared at the forest behind her instead.
“Haven’t we been here before?” Krystal asked her, feeling a strong sense of deja vu for they also first met in the forest.
Bianca was just a weak, shy omega bullied by her own pack. She was a nobody, but when Krytal saw her left wounded and alone in the forest, She did not hesitate to help her. She saved her, fixed her, and clothed her. Krystal encouraged Bianca to be brave; She changed her fate, but she cheated on her with her second fiance.
Krystal also thought that their friendhip was worth something more, but then she made her realize that it wasn't.
Bianca sniffed. She knows exactly what she was talking about. The forest is the place where they formed their friendship. This is the place where her life changed.
“I’m sorry Krystal. I’m really sorry. I hope you can forgive me.”
“After all you did that is what you’re going to say, just sorry? Can sorry make up for the mistake you made? Can your sorry fix the damage you have done?” Krystal asked her in exasperation.
After all that she had done, she would just come here out of nowhere and say sorry.
"If you are truly sorry, Bianca, then don't show your face to me anymore. Don't dare to talk to me again as if it all never happened," Krystal snapped.
The whole thing is still a sensitive topic to her.
Bianca and Krystal has been friends for so long, they shared many good memories, but now, all that she could see in her is the betrayal that she did.
Bianca stilled upon hearing my words. Krystal know that she broke her heart with the words that she said, but she had to be honest with her.
"We should not see each other anymore," Krystal added and tried to walk past her, but she stopped her by blocking her path.
“I won’t leave here until I receive your forgiveness right now, Anna,” Bianca stubbornly said straight to Krystal's face.
Krystal sighed in disbelief. “How can you force forgiveness unto someone? Forgiveness should never be forced onto a person,” she replied, feeling angry at her audacity to say such thing to her.
“Mommy?” A small childish voice spoke behind them, stealing their attention.
The two turned around in surprise and was shock to see that they weren't the only two in the forest. There is a young boy lost here with them too.
“Mommy!” He shouted happily when he saw a good look on Krystal's face.
Krystal raised her eyebrow at the young boy. "
Now who is this cute little kid and why is he calling me mommy?" Krystal thought to herself as she stared at the young boy's handsome features.
The child is very young, about four years of age, despite his youthful face, Krystal could see that the little boy would surely grow into a handsome man, and definitely chased by girls. She just hoped that he won't grow up breaking women's heart.
“Mommy?” Krystal asked the little child, totally forgetting about the fight that was about to happen between her and Bianca. “Who are you calling mommy?” Krystal looked at the boy from head to toe, he looked too old to be Eva’s son either.
“You,” he answered straight to the point and even pointed his chubby little finger at Krystal.
Krystal looked at him in surprise.
As far as Kystal could remember, She never had any boyfriend, she don’t even have a husband and never got pregnant, and she is definitely sure that she never gave birth to anyone before. How could she be the mother of this cute little boy?
“Dearie,” Krystal smiled sweetly at him. “I’m not your mother.”
“Yes, you are. My father painted a picture of you at home and you look exactly like my mother in the picture.” Krystal's brows furrowed at his confounding words.
“Why did you leave me? Why have you never visited me? I’ve been waiting for you to come back,” the little boy pouted and Krystal could feel the sadness in his voice and how much he missed his own mother.
"Could that be the reason why he had mistaken her mother for me?" Krystal asked herself.
“I-” Krystal stopped, not knowing what to say. She's not even his mother so how could she answer his questions?
“I miss you mommy, and daddy misses you too. You should come back home with us,” the little boy offered with a smile on his face.
Home? Now the kid wants her to live in his home? This thing has escalated so quickly.
Krystal smiled and crouched before the kid, finally giving in before the kid starts crying. "Where is your father?"
The kid opens his mouth to answer her when something behind her caught his eye. "Daddy!" he yelled excitedly.
Krystal turns around and saw a man that loks exactly like the kid.
"Kristen?" The man whispered.
