“Toby!” said an attractive woman in her mid-forties, who was emerging from the front door. “So, so good to meet you,” she said as she descended the front steps with her arms outstretched. She walked right up to Toby and gave him a hug. Toby was a little surprised but decided to just go with it.
“It’s really nice to meet you, too. Ms. Thomas, I’m assuming?”
“Why, yes, darlin’, it is,” she said, sweetly.
She let Toby go, then pulled Wayne down by one arm to give him a peck on the cheek. “Good to see you too, handsome.”
