Chapter 9As Toby watched the miles and the ETA wind down on the GPS on his phone, he got more and more anxious, nervous, and excited about showing up at Wayne’s place. Somehow, within the confines of the truck, there was a sense of their adventure being temporary. Now, this seemed more permanent. He wasn’t moving in with Wayne, exactly, other than just for while he attended school. At the same time, however, Toby wondered when it would ever feel natural for the two of them to separate. Toby turned into a quiet neighborhood with tree lined streets and neat, pleasant looking houses. The GPS said Wayne’s house would be the sixth one on the right.
