I couldn't believe what was happening. I had such mixed feelings about these guys. On the one hand, I still completely idolized them. On the other, Gavyn had hurt Noah, and Rudy and I weren’t exactly on the best terms. To say I was conflicted would be an understatement.
Knocking then came from the front door before I could think things out further. Noah tensed up next to me. I was really nervous. Jordan and Amber rushed into the room at the sound. Jordan ran to open the door and, from what I could see, Erys, Quinn, Hakim, Gavyn, and Rudy walked in. I tried to hide behind Noah as Noah tried to hide behind me.
“She’s here,” Noah said through gritted teeth.
"Who?" I asked, confused.
Noah pulled me behind the kitchen counter and to the floor.
"Melody, the girl he left me for, is here!"
"Um, what are you two doing down here?" Amber sat on the floor beside us.
"Hiding. Sh," I said while putting my finger over my mouth.
"Come on, stop hiding," Amber said.
Amber grabbed mine and Lauren's hand, then pulled us up from the floor. I stumbled and almost fell over when someone held onto my waist.
"Are you alright?" that beautiful British accent asked.
It was Rudy. He helped me up and smiled at me. Not knowing what else to do, I rushed over to Noah and hid behind her again, only letting some of my face show on her shoulder.
"Stop being so shy, they're only going to be here for a few weeks," Amber whispered in my ear.
“A few weeks?” Noah whispered.
“Welcome to our home," I plastered on a smile.
"Let’s have some breakfast while we talk about the music video we need to make," Maia, the peacekeeper, said.
Hakim let us know our task as we ate. We needed to come up with some ideas for a music video for one of our songs. Amber suggested it be the song from the contest, so I suggested Blaire be apart of the video. Everyone agreed. Melody decided to insert herself in the conversation by offering to be in the video, along with Azalea, as well, which Gavyn agreed to in a heartbeat.
"Gross, did I look like that with him?" Noah whispered to me.
"I think all couples look like that," I whispered back.
"Do we look like that?"
"You do, now let's get back to work," Jordan budded in, causing us to giggle.
Jordan, of all people, was never the most work oriented. Rather, she was the most distraction oriented of the group; she was constantly on her phone during meetings, taking pictures of herself. Amber was passionate, but was easily distracted by Jordan’s antics. Maia was really the one who wrangled us together. It was amusing to see Jordan take over Maia’s role, because she seemed to be doing nothing but ogling over Erys.
We didn’t get much else done. We broke into our own miny conversations. Maia went off somewhere with Erys, probably to have some quick fun. Amber, Jordan, Hakim, and Quinn, stayed at the kitchen table. Melody and Gavyn went over to the couch and started making out. I could tell Noah wanted to slip away, so I went to follow her before Rudy stopped me.
“Hey, can we talk?” he asked.
“What’s going on?” I asked.
“Nothing, I’ve just missed you.”
“I feel the same way. I hope things won’t be awkward between us now.”
“I’d love to date you again,” he said abruptly.
“Slow down there, buddy,” Noah interjected.
“Rudy!” Quinn called out, “It’s time for us to check into the hotel. Let’s go.”
Quinn, Hakim, Rudy, Gavyn, and Melody left momentarily. Erys was likely still off with Maia somewhere. After exchanging goodbyes, I pulled Noah into our room.
“I can’t tell him about the baby, Noah, I’m so scared. Can you tell him?" I asked.
"Okay sure," she replied, so I kissed her in gratitude.
