“How are you doing, Noah? How are you coping with everything with Charlie?” I asked as we arrived at the restaurant.
Tears immediately came to her eyes. I went over to her and hugged her tightly. Jordan joined our hug for a moment before taking a seat on the opposite side of the booth. When Noah calmed down slightly, she and I took a seat beside each other.
"I want her back so badly. I feel so horrible about what I did to her, and she won't even give me a second chance to make things right. I love her so much," a tear rolled down her cheek as I rubbed her back.
Jealousy overcame me as she talked about Charlie. This always happened when she was either with Charlie or talking about her, yet whenever anyone else spoke about her I was totally fine. I had no idea why this was happening, so as usual I just ignored the feeling.
“Why did you do it, then?” Jordan asked.
“It’ll sound stupid,” Noah said.
“You can tell us,” I assured her.
“I think I’ve been feeling confused about my sexuality. I’m still attracted to guys, even though I’m in love with Charlie. I think I went for Rudy because he wanted me and, well, he’s a guy, and even though everyone accepts me for also being into girls, I don’t think I accept myself just yet.”
“That’s not stupid,” I assured her.
“It sucks, but it makes a lot of sense,” Jordan confirmed, “Just remember that we love you for who you really are, and we want you to love yourself, to.”
“Thank you,” Noah gave us a small smile.
Jordan and I did what we could to help Noah feel better about herself while we ate. She was already making great strides. It hurt me to know Noah felt this way. Noah deserved to feel comfortable in her own skin. Anyone deserved to feel comfortable about their sexuality. It didn’t matter if you were into boys, girls, both, neither, or just people in general. It’s okay to love who you love, whoever that may be. I hoped Noah would realize this soon.
After we ate, we made our way back to the house. We got in and settled down in the living room. Maia and Charlie walked in as we received a text from our agent. He said that the music video was almost ready, but we desperately needed to film a few more scenes. He let us know that they boys were coming back to town shortly so we could finish up. Both Noah and Charlie seemed okay with this, which was a relief.
Once that was sorted, I took Maia aside and told her we needed to talk. She said she had something to tell me, too. I followed her to her bedroom and sat down on her bed.
"I think I like her," we said simultaneously.
"Who do you think you like?" I asked.
"Charlie, you?"
“Noah.
We both sighed heavily.
"What should we do?" I asked after a moment.
"I think we should put our feelings aside and help them get back together. Noah is clearly still into Charlie, and I can tell that, despite everything she says, Charlie is still into Noah, too. They deserve to be happy together,” Maia said.
Knocking came from the bedroom door. Maia went to open it to find Jordan. She came in eagerly and flopped down on the bed beside me.
“Charlie and Noah need to get back together,” she sighed, “I can’t handle all these pent up lesbian feelings!”
Maia and I looked at each other and laughed at the irony.
“Seriously, though, what can we do to get them back together?” Jordan asked.
“Let’s recreate their first date,” Maia suggested.
“Their first date was the one in this house, right?” I asked.
"False, our first date was on the beach the night before we all video chatted with our agent about L.A.," Noah barged into the room, clearly having overheard us.
