Chapter 8: He Kissed Me

I woke up in my room the next morning. The sun was shining in my room through the window. How did I get here? I don't remember coming back to my house. I shrugged and got out of bed, making my way to the bathroom. I stripped out of my clothes and hopped in the shower.

Is it weird to have feelings for a werewolf? I asked myself. Last night was perfect. There's something about that wolf that makes me feel happy. I can have a bad day and when I see the wolf everything just disappears. I sighed and got out of the shower. I brushed my teeth and walked back into my room. Taking out my uniform, I put it on and brushed my hair.

"Honey, are you up? You have to get to school." I heard my mom say. I grabbed my bag and walked downstairs.

"Morning, mom." I said, smiling at her when I walked into the kitchen.

"Well, don't you seem a bit cheery today?" My mom said, putting a plate of food in front of me. She smiled.

"No. Just in a good mood." I said, taking a bite of my food. "Hey, where's dad?" I asked, since I didn't see him in the kitchen.

"He went to a job interview in a law firm not too far from here," She said. I nodded and finished the last bit of food that was on my plate.

"Ready?" My mom asked.

"Yes."

My phone started to ring. I picked it up and Jessica's name was flashing on the screen. "Hello?" I answered.

"Be ready. I'm coming to pick you up." She said. With that, she hung up. I looked at the phone confused.

"Uh, mom.. I have a friend coming to take me to school. Is that okay?" I asked her.

"Sure, just call me when school’s finished." She said. I nodded. Soon a honk was heard from outside.

"That's her. See you later, mom." I said.

"Bye, sweetie." I picked up my bag, phone and keys and opened the door. Whoa! Who knew she had a car like that? The window to the front rolled down and the least expected person I thought I would see was in there.

Nickoli.

He looked gorgeous. I was speechless. What is he doing here? I thought Jessica was supposed to come here. Wait, how does he know where I live? Nickoli got out of the car and walked up to me.

"Like what you see?" He asked, smirking at me. I just looked at him, not knowing what to do. He stroked my cheek and a calm feeling overcame me. Nickoli looked at me intently and stepped a little closer. I stepped back, hitting the door softly. Come to think of it, I didn't move from my porch.

"H-How do you know where I live?" I asked, stuttering.

"It's really not that hard to get," he said. I looked at him confused and he just smiled at me. I found myself smiling back almost immediately.

"I think we should go," I suggested. He nodded and took my hand. Tingles shot through my body. How could one simple touch make me feel so many emotions? He was driving me crazy.

Nickoli led me to the car and opened the door for me. A gentleman, I see. I thanked him and got in the car. He walked over to his side of the car and got it. Turning the key, he looked at me.

"What?" I asked, confused.

"Put your seatbelt on," he said calmly. I laughed. Seriously? I don't even put my seatbelt on when my parents drive. I looked at him and he looked serious.

"Seriously? I am not a child." I said, getting angry at the way he was looking at me.

"No, but it's my job to make sure you're safe," he said. Just hearing that sentence made me think about the wolf. I felt like it would protect me if anything were a threat to me. I shook my head to get rid of the thoughts I was thinking. No, it's not possible.

Nickoli leaned over me and pulled the seatbelt on me, looking me in the eyes. I stared back at him getting lost in his. His face was so close to mine that if I moved any closer, our lips would touch. He kept looking at my eyes and then my lips, as if asking for permission to kiss me. But why would he want to kiss me?

Then Nickoli did the unexpected and pressed his lips against mine.

He kissed me! Oh god, his lips were so soft. I tried pulling away, but it was no use. All the energy was sucked out of me from just this one kiss. I found myself kissing him back. I took some of his shirt and balled it in my hands, pulling him closer to me. Nickoli growled in my mouth and I let out a moan by accident. He bit my lip and that put me in overdrive.

What's happening right now? Everything was such a blur. Nickoli put his hands on the window beside my head to steady himself. His body was so close to mine.

"What are we doing?" I asked with a whisper, pulling away from him. He growled and shook his head.

"Something you and I both know we wanted to do." He answered my question, placing his lips on mine again. Suddenly, my senses came back and I pushed him away from me.

"You can't just go around kissing people!" I said breathless. Nickoli only chuckled and brought his face to mine.

"Really? That's not what you said a few seconds ago." He said huskily. I opened my mouth to say something but nothing came out.

"Just drive." I said, crossing my arms over my chest and looking out the window to avoid his gaze.

"As you wish." I heard him say, but I swear I could feel him smiling right now.
