RAINA’S POV
I was panting heavily as I slowly approached her. I glanced behind me as Declan hurried away, then crouched and placed a hand on Ariah’s limp hand. She flinched suddenly and her other hand slapped my hand away.
“Don’t touch me!” She yelled.
“I…I just want to help, Ariah,” I said shakily. I felt so bad seeing her in this state. I didn’t like Ariah but she had received what she didn’t deserve from Declan and I couldn’t help but berate myself for that. “Come on, Ariah, just take my hand and I will lead you to your bedroom. Please.”
