DECLAN'S POV
I felt the shift in the atmosphere the moment I walked into the room. It had been tense, I noticed the abrupt shift in their expressions.
Raina's eyes were still wide with some sort of realization. My eyes bored into hers for the few seconds our eyes met but she managed to avert her gaze. When she left the room, my gaze fell steadily on Alice.
“What was that?” I queried, suspiciously regarding her.
She was relaxed and leaning back on the sofa with her legs crossed, “Oh, relax my darling. It was nothing. Just a small girl talking, I had a few questions to ask her.” She replied.
“A few questions like?” I pressed on.
She looked at me curiously, “Since when did you become interested in such trivial matters, love?” Her tone was soft and cooing.
