Chapter Three: Self Care And Love

***Lisa's POV***

I plopped down onto the sand, enjoying the heat it provided after being in the cold ocean water. It was as satisfying as flipping my pillow over to put my face on the cool side.

I leaned back on my hands as I turned my face up towards the welcoming sun.

"This is life," Raven said, lying on her back, wagging her tail.

"Mhmm," I agreed.

" OK, I'm done, you guys!! You're wearing me out", Noah shouted as he sat down on the sand next to me.

I sat up to see Noah's smiling wet face as he waved to the kids, his black hair hanging down on his face before running his fingers through it.

"Hey, handsome," I purred as I leaned into his cool body.

"Hey, beautiful," he replied before placing his cold lips on mine.

The cold sensation followed by the mate bond was amazing, erupting goosebumps all over my body.

He placed his forehead against mine; his blue eyes sparkled with enjoyment.

"It's nice to see everyone enjoying themselves!!" chimed in Jared.

Barbra and John walked along the shoreline hand in hand while the kids wrestled with each other, the loser getting tossed into the water.

"Mom and Dad are going to stay a little longer after we head back home," Noah said as he pulled away.

I watched Barbra and John exchange a kiss as they giggled about whatever John whispered into her ear.

"They deserve it. Look how happy they are. After everything, why shouldn't they get a good rest?! I'm glad they are going to do some well-deserved self-care," I said, smiling.

Noah jumped up from the sand, startling me, his hand outstretched for me to grab.

"I couldn't agree more with you! Speaking of self-care, how about we go for a run and let Jared and Raven explore the island!?" Noah suggested as he pulled me up into his arms.

"Yes!! I love this idea!!" barked Raven excitedly.

"I second that!!!" Jared howled with excitement.

"Hey, kids!?!! We're going to let Jared and Raven go for a run!! Make smart choices. Alexander, I'm mostly speaking to you!!" I shouted to the kids.

Rosemary had Alexander in a chokehold as he looked at me, rolling his eyes.

"You act like all I do is get into trouble," shouted Alexander.

"That's because you do!!" Rosemary shouted before slamming Alexander into the water.

"Fight nice!!!" shouted Noah.

"We will!!!" laughed Rosemary as she ran from Alexander, who was trying to win their wrestling match.

Noah and I walked towards the tropical forest, leaving the beach behind us. We found a good spot to take our clothes off before shifting into our wolves.

The sound of furry bodies shaking surrounded the peaceful atmosphere, with the occasional cicadas letting out their high-pitched sounds and the birds singing out to each other hidden among the treetops.

Jared pranced up to Raven, giving his mate a loving head rub with his. Then, both of them rub up against each other, panting excitedly.

"Hello, my beautiful star, how about a race?" Jared growled playfully.

Raven trotted around him, wrapping her tail around Jared's muzzle.

"Is it a race if you always lose?" Raven giggled before running off into the forest.

"Aren't we cheeky today?!" I laughed.

"Hey!!!" barked Jared as he took off after Raven.

I've enjoyed hundreds of runs and hunts with Raven, but this place is extraordinary through her eyes.

Everything seemed much more vibrant. The smells were intoxicating.

I loved to hear the sounds of their paws thudding into the earth as they ran, their heavy panting filling the space around me.

Raven and Jared ran through the forest for hours, taking in all the sights and smells they could find.

Raven's ears perked up as she heard the sound of water.

Walking side by side, Jared and Raven made their way to a clearing that revealed a gigantic waterfall.

Hidden deep in the forest, surrounded by rocks and trees, laid a gem untouched by anyone.

The loud sounds of the waterfall rushing down off the ledge of the high mountain into a body of water streamed off towards what I assumed would be the ocean.

Raven made her way over the rocks and palm trees that had fallen, at some point, bringing us to the body of water.

She quickly drank the cool refreshing water before letting me shift back.

I stepped up into the clear water, looking at my reflection. My glowing eyes looked back at me.

Jared walked up to me, nudging my arm for attention.

I wrapped my arms around him, feeling his soft, pitch black fur against my naked body, taking a deep breath of his earthy scent.

***Noah's POV***

Lisa's tender moment with Jared touched my heart. Her love for our wolves was unique.

She was kind to everyone and anything.

Lisa pulled away, stepping into the water that led up to the waterfall. The water didn't look that deep.

Her tanned body made her stretch marks look like silver lightning strikes on her breasts, stomach, and thighs. She was a Goddess standing before me.

Her long ombre hair hung down over her shoulders, the color making her freshly darkened freckles stand out.

I watched her wade into the water, hands trailing behind her as I shifted back into myself.

She waded up to the waterfall's base, her hair damp and clinging to her body.

I could feel my breathing quicken and my body ache for her.

She glanced over her shoulder with those flaming hazel eyes, giving me a seductive smirk.

"You coming?" her voice purred through our mind link.

Whether she was purposely tempting me or not, that vixen, I wasn't standing here a second longer.

I strode through the water, slowly feeling its coolness kiss my hot skin, making my way up to her.

" Did you purposely do that, little wolf?" I said lowly to her, the sound of the water crashing around us.

"I have no idea what you are talking about... Alpha," she said seductively, stepping towards me before giving me a smirk.

I watched the water trickle over her face down her delectable breasts.

A low growl escaped me as I grabbed her by the throat, getting an eager moan from her.

Her eyes became hazy, pink and hazel mixed, lips trembling from excitement. I moved close, bringing my lips close to hers, barely touching.

I could sense her desire for me to take her mouth over with mine.

"You know exactly what I'm talking about, my little brat," I growled, biting her lower lip gently.

Her cool, wet hands glided up to my hips, her nails digging into my flesh, her breathing getting more labored.

The more time we spent together since the battle, the more she trusted me to be more dominant over her.

Looking at her flushed face, her mouth open and eager for me, I brushed my lips against her ear, sending shock waves through both of us.

"Say it..." I growled lowly into her ear, feeling her breasts up against my bare chest rising and falling.

Dammit. I couldn't hold out much longer.

"I'm yours... MY Alpha," she moaned into my ear as she wrapped both hands around my throbbing erection.

With one quick movement, I picked her up, letting her legs wrap around my waist, pushing her through the waterfall, slamming her up against the cold, wet rock, leaving the waterfall pouring down behind us.

***Lisa's POV***

"Good night, you guys, love you!! You should all sleep well tonight!!!" I said, waving to the kids along with Barbra and John.

"Good night, you two!! Love you too!!" they all called back to us.

The kids were lying on their beds, checking their phones, looking ready to pass out from all the fresh air.

Noah and I made our way back up to our room for the evening, hand in hand, taking our time.

"That food was amazing and well deserved after today," Noah said, giving me a playful smile.

I felt my face flush. I'm sure, even with the amount of sun I got today, nothing would hide the color of shyness on my face.

Noah was always a flirt, building me up with positive flirty comments. It was a refreshing feeling, and I loved every moment of it.

"I still can't believe you don't tan..." I said, looking at Noah's pale, beautiful complexion.

He just shrugged his shoulders, chuckling.

"I could never understand it either," he replied, squeezing my hand.

We went to our room and took our clothes off.

I walked over to the large stone bath, running my fingers along the edge before remembering what Mariposa said to do.

I gently gave the bath two good knocks. After that, the deep stone bath was filled with hot water with Epson salts and various beautiful smelling herbs, some of which I recognized as roses, camomile, and lavender.

The steam from the bath reached the thick bundles of purple sage and eucalyptus that hung above the bath.

The steam soaked the herbs, letting small droplets of herb-infused sweat drip into the bathwater.

The smell filled my senses, clearing my mind and lungs and bringing me into a mellow state.

"Shall we?" Noah asked, offering to help me get into the bath.

I took his hand as he helped me step in, the warm waters bringing a surprising amount of relief to my feet and legs.

I slowly sat down in the water, taking in the pleasure of instant relief of soreness from the sun and our quickie under the waterfall.

Noah went to sit behind me, but I quickly slid back to the back of the bath, pointing for him to sit between my legs.

Giving me a confused smile, he got in between my legs with his back towards me.

I sighed, looking at his beautiful body before taking him into my arms to lay back, holding him in my arms.

I took my wet fingers and stroked them through his jet-black hair. I could feel his body relaxing into mine as a sigh of enjoyment escaped his lips.

"This is a little different," his low, gruff voice spoke out.

I massaged his scalp before moving down to his neck and shoulders.

"I love taking care of you, and occasionally you need to be pampered too, you know," I said, snuggling into him.

I traced a little heart on his chest with my finger.

He took my free hand to his lips, giving me light kisses. I loved it when he did that.

It was the little things we did for each other that made us perfect for each other.

"Are you ready for tomorrow?" Noah asked as he gently played with my hair that was floating in the water around him.

I took in another deep sigh and closed my eyes.

"Yes, I am ready. After facing my fears, I think I can do almost anything. With you and our family by my side, I know I am in good hands", I explained.

Noah pulled my fingers up to his mouth to kiss each one before he managed to turn around.

Holding his body over mine, I watched the steam flow off his body, wrapping around his muscular arms, broad shoulders, and small waist.

I smile at him as his mesmerizing blue eyes captivate my soul as they do daily.

I placed my hands on each side of his beautiful face, knowing what he would say.

"I love you..." Noah started before I interrupted him.

"You are my sun, my moon, and all of my stars and I love you too," I giggled as I saw his face turn into a blushing smile.

"Smartass," he laughed before showering my face and lips with kisses, causing me to giggle and squirm under him.

We lay in the bath for about an hour. The lavender was making us feel relaxed and sleepy.

We got out and dried each other off before pulling the bedsheets back.

Per our usual routine, I crawled into bed first, which felt like a cloud!! Then Noah joined me so he could adjust the blankets to the way we liked them.

He pulled me up onto his chest with his arm wrapped around me tightly.

The view we had from our room was spectacular.

The sounds of wooden wind chimes echoed through the night air. It is one of my favorite sounds.

The stars were massive. The colors purple, navy, black, and a hint of pink meshed well. It reminded me of Raven's fur.

Raven would love this, but she was out cold from her run today, quietly snoring away, probably in her favorite spot in her little universe.

Today has been an amazing day. First, Noah stroked my hair as my eyes became heavy with sleep. Then, the sound of his heart lulled me to sleep with the beats I had come to love.

"Rest now, my beautiful wife and Luna. Tomorrow is a long, important day", Noah's sleepy voice said as he was getting ready to fall asleep.

"Mhmm, I love you so much," my sleepy voice managed to whisper.

"Not as much as I love you," Noah's sleepy voice whispered back.

"Never..." I said with a lazy yawn.

I felt Noah's body vibrate from a small laugh before we both succumbed to the heavy sleep that eagerly awaited us.
