Chapter One: Onward to The Elder's Island
The Luna's Legacy is the sequel to The Luna's Justice. This chapter continues right from where Lisa and Noah receive their invitation to become Elders.
***Lisa's POV***
Noah, the kids, Barbra, John, and I journeyed to The Elder's Council's Chambers in Florida.
We decided to head out the day after receiving our invitation to be inaugurated to have a small family trip together.
The drive was long, beautiful, and filled with a few good hilarious memories, thanks to Barbra and John.
"I swear, woman, you have a bladder the size of a peanut!!" mumbled John as he stood in the road watching for any oncoming traffic.
"When you reach my age, things change, plus having kids doesn't help!!" shouted Barbra from the bushes.
Rosemary, Alexander, and I gave each other a look as we held back laughter listening to Barbra and John bicker playfully back and forth.
"Don't bring me into this!!" Noah sighed, wrapping his arm around my shoulders.
"I brought you into this world, and I can take you out of it, boy!!!" growled Barbra as she stumbled out of the bushes.
"Feel better?" I asked, smiling at her.
Barbra stood up, adjusting her shorts and shirt. Then, after giving her hair a little fluffing, she turned around and glared at me.
"I think a mosquito bit my ass," she growled.
"Oh no!!" I said, giggling.
Rosemary and Alexander ran to the other side of the SUV to laugh.
"Well, it is a great-looking ass," smiled John as he gave Barbra a sharp smack on the ass.
Barbra and John got lost in each other's eyes as Noah and I gave each other a nervous look, slowly backing away to get back into the SUV.
"I love my parents, but I don't need to see how I was created in any way, shape, or form," Noah said with a blank look before shuddering.
"You know they get some freaky s**t on," I replied, poking Noah in the side.
"Oh God, please stop!!" shouted Noah dramatically.
"Ewww, are Poppa and Nanna gonna grab a quickie before we get to where we need to?!" Rosemary asked, making a weird face.
"Nawww, they wouldn't do that! We have a schedule to keep to," said Alexander, looking at his watch.
We all looked out the window, watching Barbra and John. John had cracked Barbra on the ass again, giving it a good grab, causing her to squeal with excitement.
"I think you may be wrong..." I chuckled.
"Oh God," groaned Noah.
"Kids, we will be right back!!!" John shouted as he grabbed Barbra by the hand, dragging her into the bushes.
"OH, GOD!!!" shouted Noah as he slid down into his seat, burying his face into his hands.
"So glad we get to smell old people's s*x the rest of the way there," mumbled Alexander.
"ALEXANDER!!" I shouted as all three of us broke out in laughter.
Noah just looked out his window in despair.
"It's nice to see Nanna and Poppa so happy!! It's romantic!! Plus, when was the last time they had a vacation?!" Rose Marie chimed in, sliding her sunglasses on.
I leaned over onto Noah, kissing his neck.
"It's OK, sweetheart, let your mom and dad have a little fun. They deserve it," I whispered into his ear.
I felt the hairs on his neck stand up as I could sense his excitement from my lips brushing up against his neck.
Noah shifted uncomfortably in his seat before turning around to look at me.
"Yea, your right. I'll try to be supportive," sighed Noah.
I gently smiled back at him as I rubbed his thigh.
"Stop teasing me, or I will take you into the bushes myself too."
"Oh, Gross, are you guys flirting again?! Geeze, what are we on the road to horny town?!" grunted Alexander.
Noah looked back at Alexander and gave him a c****d eyebrow.
"You're jealous because you don't have someone to suck face with. Let mom and dad have their fun," Rosemary asserted.
"Thanks, honey. Always the hopeless romantic," smiled Noah.
"Here they come," I said quietly as we all adjusted back into our seats, pretending we weren't waiting for them to finish their rampage through the bush.
"Sorry about that!!" said John as he opened the door for Barbra to get back into the SUV.
The kids sat in the back, as John and Barbra sat in the middle. Noah and I took turns driving.
We all sat awkwardly in the SUV for a moment before Noah cleared his throat.
" OK, let's not make any more stops, please."
"Why? don't you enjoy all this fresh air with a hint of pootang?!" chuckled Alexander in the back seat, looking at his phone.
I saw Barbra's face turn beet red as John just sat with a smug expression, his arm wrapped lovingly around his wife.
"ALEXANDER!!" Noah and I both shouted.
The rest of the drive went smoothly without any more stops, thankfully. Alexander was roasting his grandparents left and right while Rosemary defended their love.
She eventually gave up and got lost in a book. I watched everyone behind me in the rearview mirror quietly enjoying themselves.
"We'll have that too, ya know," Noah's smooth voice flowed through my mind.
I looked over at him as the breeze from the open window tossed his jet-black hair around, his bright blue eyes glistening from the sun.
His scent washed over me as my adoration for him made my heart swell.
I could never put my love for Noah or my family into words. The more we were together, the less my memories invaded my mind.
I looked at the leather straps from the bracelet I had gotten Noah flutter as they caught the breeze from the window.
"Forever and ever..." I linked him back.
Noah looked at me with a smile that melted my heart and set my soul on fire. His hand reached over to stroke my cheek.
"Have I told you today how beautiful you are?" Noah asked.
I smiled, feeling the blush rush to my face.
His fingers tucked the loose hair off my braid behind my ear. His touch sent warm shivers throughout my body.
"Yea, but it doesn't hurt to hear it again," I confessed, kissing his hand.
He chuckled as he pinched my cheek before stroking his long finger across my freckled nose.
"You're beautiful," he said with a wink.
"You're pretty stunning yourself, Alpha," I whispered back.
We made our way to the ferry docking station. It didn't look like it had many people. But, hopefully, it was enough to run the ferry to the island where we would be staying with The Elder's Council, The Chamber's.
The scenery was breathtaking. The rich green colors, followed by the beautiful vibrant colors of the flowers and birds, were amazing.
The sky matched the crystal blue water below, and the white sand, like snow, looked like tiny diamonds sparkling.
The smell of salt water filled my senses. I took a deep breath. The smell gave me a sense of peace and tranquility.
We pulled up to the docks, where we had to check in at the ferry terminal. A large, well-built African American man walked over to us in a crisp white suit. His long thick dreadlocks hung down past his shoulders to his waist.
He had a friendly demeanor, his gold eyes glowing against his beautiful dark skin.
Noah and I went out to greet him.
"Ahh, welcome, Alpha, Luna. I am Richard, your Captain!" Richard greeted us with a loud, thick voice.
"Hello, Richard, nice to meet you! How do we go about this?!" asked Noah as he shook Richards's large hand.
Noah was tall, but Richard towered over him. He was built like a statue!!
He reached his hand over to mine. I placed my small hand into the palm of his hand, and the size difference was so incredible I couldn't help but marvel at it.
"Wow!! You're enormous!! I wouldn't say anyone would mess with you or your wolf, that's for sure!!!" I gasped as he gently shook my hand, laughing deeply.
"The largest in this area, little lady!!" Richard laughed, giving me a welcoming smile.
I realized I had gotten over-excited and just blurted out what I was thinking.
"I'm sorry that was rude," I apologized, bowing my head.
"Not at all!! It's all good! But to answer your question, Alpha, you drive up onto the ferry. You can get out of your vehicle and enjoy the ride up on the upper deck. I'm sure the kids would love it," smiled Richard, his gold eyes flickering.
"Alright, sounds good to me," Noah said as we turned back to the SUV.
Richard walked off to guide us onto the white and gold ferry that was waiting for us.
"Wow, he is huge!!! I wonder if he could give me some pointers on how to get ripped like that", let out Alexander looking out at
Richard was moving the chain aside to allow us to drive.
" It can't hurt to ask him, pipsqueak," Rosemary teased.
Alexander swung at his sister, but she quickly dodged it before clapping him in the throat.
I just rolled my eyes and shook my head.
"The security here is tight. All the guards here are massive like that, granted the Elders can handle their own," explained John.
"Why don't we see more of them around?" I asked curiously, looking around.
"Less is better, and it keeps prying eyes away. But they are all around us," Noah said, pulling up onto the ferry.
We got out of the SUV and stretched our legs.
I looked towards the shore and saw a large, well-tanned man with short curly brown hair and bright green eyes walk past, waving to Richard before putting the chain back up.
"Where did he come from?! I didn't even sense him," gasped Raven.
"Told you," chuckled Noah as he took my hand, leading me up to the top deck.
"Oh my, it's so beautiful here!!! I know it's not a long-distance ferry ride, but it's a spectacular view!!!" Barbra gushed, leaning against the rail and looking towards the large island with a chamber in the tropical forest.
Alexander ran to talk to Richard.
Rosemary let the cool breeze swim across her freckled face, curls bouncing in every direction.
"This is amazing!!! I can't wait to go for a swim," I said, closing my eyes and taking in the sun.
"That will be great after driving through this heat, that's for sure. I enjoy looking at your body greatly," Noah whispered.
His hands slid up under my loose tank top, gliding over my stomach as he began to gently stroke it.
We all quietly enjoyed the ferry ride, minus Alexander, who was interested in Richard's stories.
Richard didn't seem to mind the company or lively conversation.
Noah and I smiled, shaking our heads at Alexander's adventurous personality.
"You nervous?" Noah asked me.
"A little," I confessed.
Warm salt water sprayed up onto us. I licked the salt water off my lips, savoring the taste of the bitterness.
"So am I, but we got this, it's not every day someone gets invited here to be inaugurated to be an Elder," said Noah.
"You guys enjoy your spare time and don't worry about anything. Everything will go great. You two will make great Elders!!" John's voice spoke out to us as he massaged Barbra's shoulders.
"Yes, sir!" Noah and I cheered.
I couldn't wait to see what awaited us on the island and meet the people who knew about me while I was still a human. But, unfortunately, I think that's where my nerves were getting me.
"You'll be OK!! You have got all of us here with you! This is a great honor. Who knows, maybe we can eat a seagull here!!" said Raven, prancing around excitedly.
"Mmm, my thoughts exactly," growled Jared hungrily.
A group of seagulls flew over us towards the island.
I glanced up at Noah behind me. He just shook his head, smiling.
"You guys are always thinking about food," Noah laughed.
"Yup!!" Raven and Jared agreed together.
