The Arrival of Drake Adams

Seeing who was visiting her residence made Daisy's mother immediately hide behind her husband's body, she was really afraid of the arrival of the 50-year-old man. Now what the middle-aged woman feared for her daughter has finally happened.

"M-Mr. Drake," said Daisy's father, standing in front of the old man who still looked handsome.

Still, with a straight face, Drake nodded as if answering Daisy's father's greeting.

The two married couples looked confused and just kept silent as if they didn't have the courtesy to invite Drake, Juan, and several bodyguards from the mafia chief, until Daisy's mother realized and touched her husband's arm as a sign to invite the owner of the biggest fortune in the European country into her house.

Daisy's father was puzzled and turned to his wife, who kept giving him codes to make him understand.

With a slight stutter and visible trembling of the man's body, he moved to the side. So did the woman behind him, following wherever her husband was moving.

"Ple-Please come in, sir," the man said as he moved his hand inside, asking Drake to enter his modest residence.

Drake nodded his head again, agreeing to the couple's request.

With a firm and authoritative stride Drake stepped in accompanied by Juan and a few bodyguards, while the rest remained on guard outside, fearing that an enemy might suddenly attack them.

The middle-aged woman continued to hold the back of her husband's shirt, a look of fear on Mrs. Daisy's face. Fortunately, she was still able to restrain herself from falling unconscious there. Daisy's father also invited Drake and several other men to sit on their faded sofa.

Without a second thought, the notorious man sat down while unbuttoning the front of his suit, while Juan stood behind Drake and the bodyguards who had come in, stood around to keep watch in case there was a dangerous threat from outside. Meanwhile, Daisy's parents were still standing in fear. The couple kept their heads down and clasped their hands together, cold sweat breaking out on both of them. Drake, who saw this, knew that the couple was overwhelmed with anxiety at his arrival.

"Why are you two standing there?" Drake asked and managed to make the couple surprised and then looked at each other.

Daisy's mother quickly pushed her husband's body to fill the empty seat in front of Drake, not wanting the man who had just visited her residence to feel offended by the impoliteness of the two of them.

"Forgive us, sir," the man said as he bowed his head then quickly stepped up and dropped his lower back in front of Drake.

"Sir, if you'll excuse me, I'd like to make you a drink," Daisy's mother said in a voice that was gentle and polite, despite the fear she felt.

Drake raised his hand, signaling her not to do so. "No need to bother," he said.

The authoritative man asked the mother of his daughter's friend to come to the side of the woman's husband.

Daisy's mother immediately looked at her husband, and he gave her the code to approach immediately and not waste time on Drake's orders. The woman immediately stepped as Drake had said. She felt bad for not providing drinks to their special guest.

The father of five also gave a code to Juan which was only understood by his trusted assistant, while the couple was getting scared, fearing that Drake ordered his confidant to get a gun or something that could be used to kill them.

Daisy's mother immediately shifted closer to her husband, she was really scared, hoping that her two children would not come out of the room and would not see or become victims of Drake's cruelty if indeed the man sitting in front of them wanted to do something.

The man who had worked in the Adams family for decades moved, doing what Drake had ordered.

This is what I was afraid of, Daisy. You won't believe what I told you! I didn't do it because I had the heart, but because I thought about your safety, the woman said to herself as she looked down. She tried hard to keep her tears from falling. I hope you and Daren don't leave the room, that way Mr. Drake won't harm you two. Daisy's mother thought to herself as she tightened her grip on her hand.

It wasn't long before Juan returned with several bodyguards carrying paper bags and packages that the couple didn't know what was inside.

Seeing the arrival of the Adams family confidant made Daisy's mother and father raise their heads and again the shock came to both of them.

"No need to bother, I've brought some food and snacks for you," Drake said and again made the two people in front of him look at each other.

Both Daisy's mother and father were at a loss for an answer to what had just come out of Drake's mouth. They simultaneously nodded their heads and said, "Thank you very much, sir."

Drake also nodded, replying to the couple's words.

"Sorry, sir, if I'm being presumptuous. I wanted to ask you what you came here for, sir. Did my family and I make a mistake to you and your family, sir?" said Daisy's father who was very curious about the purpose of the arrival of the famous mafia chief and CEO.

Drake, who was leaning back and raising one leg over the other, continued to watch the couple. He could read the character of the other person and did not find any cunning or evil in Daisy's parents.

"Do you know if your daughter is currently friends with Kylie, my favorite daughter?" asked Drake still calmly and continued to stare at the couple.

The man and woman sitting in front of Drake looked at each other and then back at Drake and nodded their heads.

"Yes sir, please forgive our daughter. She dared to befriend Miss Kylie," Daisy's father said.

Drake still looked calm, the mob boss did not seem to respond to the words of the man in front of him.

"Do you also know what happened to your daughter all this time, from high school to college?" Drake asked again.

Confusion engulfed the couple again, as they didn't seem to understand the question Drake had just asked.

Seeing that the two people in front of him seemed to be thinking, Drake tried to explain to them.
