"Hurry out and see Mr. Drake immediately. Don't make him wait too long and if you did something wrong, apologize immediately! I don't want Mr. Drake to get angry. You will never survive his hands, I don't want that to happen to you," said the middle-aged woman to her eldest daughter.
"Yes, ma'am," Daisy replied to the woman standing in front of her.
Daisy's mother shifted slightly to make way for her daughter to get out of the room.
The two of them walked together into the living room, where Drake was currently.
"Honey, what did you do wrong to Mr. Drake that he came here to see you? Tell me! This is what I was afraid of yesterday, I didn't want you to get to know the Adams family because I was afraid you'd done something wrong. This must have something to do with Miss Kylie, right?" whispered the middle-aged woman beside Daisy. She didn't dare to say it in a loud voice, afraid that Drake would hear it and it would backfire on their family.
Daisy shook her head and leaned closer to her mother's ear to reply to the woman who had given birth to her.
"I've never done anything wrong ma'am to Mr. Drake and as for Miss Kylie, I guess it's really about Miss Kylie," Daisy said, trying to tell her mother what she was thinking.
Daisy's mother was visibly shocked by her daughter's final words.
"Does this have anything to do with Mom and Dad's request yesterday?" the woman whispered again.
Daisy nodded, but the girl could not explain it to her mother because the distance between the room and the living room in their residence was quite close. There wouldn't be enough time to tell her everything now.
The middle-aged woman seemed to be in a quandary. She and her husband had no intention of forbidding Daisy to be friends with anyone, including Kylie. However, they were both afraid that Daisy would just become a victim of the Adams family, especially since it seemed very strange when Daisy told them that Kylie was the one who asked their daughter to be friends, while the caste difference between them was very striking. It sounded completely absurd that this was happening if there was no ulterior motive. The couple didn't want their eldest daughter to be the scapegoat later, even though they knew that the Adams family had never done anything like that, but anticipating everything couldn't hurt, they both thought.
Arriving in the living room, Daisy could only look down after greeting the man who was highly respected in their country. The girl immediately sat next to her mother, she didn't dare to look at the face of her friend's father. The cold, eerie atmosphere was palpable in their living room.
"This is my daughter, sir. What wrong has she done, sir? I'm going to punish her right now," Daisy's father asked.
The man's heart had been beating very fast the whole time he was waiting for Daisy's arrival. Only a few days ago he had warned his daughter not to have anything to do with the Adams family, but today what he and his wife had feared had happened, so they waited to see if Drake would come to their house with a punishment for their family.
Hearing a strange voice from inside his room made Daren curious, whether his house had a guest. The young man who was still in school also tried to see who the guest was. He stepped out of his room, but when he arrived in the living room his body froze when he realized that there were several people with fierce faces and one of them was sitting in front of his parents and sister. Daren knew the man well, a man who was well known for his wealth.
Noticing the presence of someone made Drake immediately turn his gaze towards Daren and manage to make Daisy's parents see where the mafia chief sitting in front of them was looking.
Daisy's mom and dad were shocked to see their youngest son. Daren shouldn't have left his room, that way if something happened to the three of them, at least Daren could still be safe. But unfortunately, Drake had already spotted the young man.
Daren, who felt he was the center of attention, immediately bowed his head, greeting Drake as a sign of the courtesy his parents had taught him.
"Daren, go back to your room!" Daisy's father commanded as he gave the code.
Understanding the code given by his father from the middle-aged man's eye movements, Daren nodded his head again.
"Yes, Father," he replied without arguing.
The young man immediately turned his body around. He wanted to stay in the room to see what Drake would do to his parents and sister, Daren was afraid that something bad would happen to his family, but he couldn't argue with his father's orders because it sounded very rude. Especially in front of guests who could be considered very special, to ordinary people like them.
Daren walked quickly as he closed and locked the door to his room. In his heart, the young man continued to pray for the safety of his family and that the arrival of the most influential person in their country was only for a visit, not to do something that could harm his three family members.
"Is it because Daisy is friends with his youngest daughter that Mr. Drake came to this house to ask Daisy to stay away from his daughter?" asked Daren monologuing now that he was in his room.
The man was pacing back and forth, it was obvious that he was anxiously thinking about the fate of his three families. He girded his loins and said, "Daisy, why are you so stubborn? If only you had obeyed Mom and Dad's request, none of this would have happened."
Meanwhile, Daisy continued to look down in front of Drake. She seemed to be an unlucky child for her parents in case something happened to her mom and dad. Daisy would rather be bullied by Viola than lose her parents just because she had smoothly befriended Kylie. But unfortunately, regret always comes too late, making the girl curse herself for her fatal mistake.
