Chapter 5 - Alana
"Well... I'm not really sure about the answer to your question either. However, I can assure you that Dilara will not be the person who will be able to explain that to you." Scaring me, I heard someone say ere I could even realize that I could understand her.
"Po-Portuguese? How?" Confused, I ended up asking before saying anything else that sounded a little smarter.
However, instead of giving me an answer that makes any sense, the woman with caramel-colored skin and silver hair just smiled at me, a kind of smile that was hard to understand and had any meaning but a friendly one.
"Nice to meet you, dear." Walking in my direction, she kept saying like it was nothing weird that she was there. " I'm Zemira, by the way, an Oracle like your mother... Or should I say like Dilara's mother?"
Stopping for a second, she asked herself while I searched for any possible way out of there.
"I would do that if I was you." I had no idea what she had done; however, I couldn't move anymore with a snap of her fingers.
... Fricking me completely out as I looked back to that figure who called herself an Oracle...
"Don't worry, child. I'm not here to hurt you, just like everyone else in this castle." Staring at my face, she said before pulling me to somewhere else as magically my legs started to word again when she touched my hand.
... Although, I couldn't yet speak or do anything else besides following her...
Pulling something from her neck, suddenly the simple necklace that she wore turned into something like a portal that had a size of a door before us.
... And the only thing that I could see on the other side was a mixture of dark colors between blue and purple while she kept taking me toward that as I begged my legs to listen to me, screaming in my mind to them to stop while I felt that I was walking straight into a black hole...
Yet, when I opened my eyes again, I was in a breathtaking place.
We seemed to be at the top of a mountain, or to be more specific, on the edge of a cliff, watching everyone before us... And everything looked so small from here.
The sky was dark, full of stars, which didn't make any sense as I was more than sure that it was still earlier in the morning since I could precisely remember the sunlight reflecting in me what I stared at the mirror.
"... It can't be real..." Without even realize, I said out loud before I shut myself up with my hands, noticing then how I could move and speak again now.
"You're right. Nothing of that is real; this is just part of a world that I created so we could be alone." Shocking me even more, she mentioned like it wasn't a big deal, and perhaps, for her, it wasn't...
And honestly, it made me jealous... I mean, who wouldn't crave that? It would be so cool, and I wished I had such a skill to suddenly create a new world as I want just to be alone with someone.
... Completely forgetting the fear that I felt earlier, I continued to think how nice it would be to have my own space instead of just a lock in the door for when I wanted to be alone...
And maybe it was all fault of this world that reassured me, calming down my emotions before I could even understand what was going on.
"... Did you... Really created it all?" No longer knowing what was going on inside my mind, I asked her, walking barefoot until the edge while the nightgown dragged against the ground.
"Yes, this is quite simple to me." With a smile in her voice, she answered me. "As I said to you, I'm an Oracle, one of the most powerful and fragile beings from Wholwni."
Catching my curiosity, nothing about her words make any sense.
"... Oracle? ... Most powerful and fragile? ... Wholwni? ... What do you mean with that?" And just like this, all these questions left my mouth before I could even stop myself. "It can't understand what you are talking about!"
Anxious soon coming back to me, almost like each one of these words was returning with it.
"... Calm down." Sighing first, she told me as she ended the distance that I put between us. "There is nothing to worry about; I'll explain everything to you, but first... What is your name?"
