Chapter 4 - Present KNOCK!!! KNOCK!!! KNOCK!!! KNOCK!!! KNOCK!!! KNOCK!!! As each second went by, the sound on Alana's door became louder and louder, making the young Brazilian woman anxious about what would happen next as she covered her ears... Running back to what seemed to be like a bed on the floor, she put a mattress around herself before she heard voices coming from outside. They asked her to open the door or if she was fine. However, obviously, the Human woman from another dimension couldn't understand any of them.  "Me deixem em paz!" Yelling to the door, she begged them to leave her alone in Portuguese. "Eu não sei como eu vim parar aqui, mas claramente, eu não sou a pessoa pela qual vocês estão procurando!" And so Alana kept saying that she had no idea about how she had come to that world and that clearly, she was not who they were looking for in the language that no one else in there could understand... The young woman wasn't sure if her words had worked or not, yet it was enough for them to stop knocking on the door, allowing her to release the mattress that she kept around her body as armor. ... Despite it being no capable of protecting her against anything if someone genuinely attacked her... Yet, it was the necessary assurance that the young mortal needed in that fantasy world. Taking a deep breath, she paid closer attention to see if she would hear any other noise coming from the other side of the door; however, as it didn't happen, a smile returned to her lips as she laid down once more on that bed. Holding yet the thick fabric closer to her body while hoping they would leave her alone now as she tried to think of some possible way that would allow her to go back home... To go back to her family and everything that she knew. "... I wish I had at least my phone here with me." Murmuring against one pillow, she said, forgetting completely how the small device would be useless there as things like electricity and internet didn't exist in Wholwni.   ... But of course, it was something that Alana hadn't understood yet... Both times she woke up there, she didn't have much to see other than the strange creatures surrounding her and that gorgeous room where she locked herself in now... Trying to fall asleep again, and somehow, she tried to believe that it would be her way out as more and more ideas started to come to her... Thousands of different thoughts running through her mind as she tried to guess where this place was... Of course, she couldn't just believe that she was truly in another world, or better saying in another dimension. ... It all show be some kind of joke of her siblings... Maybe a tv show, or something like this...  So... Amid all her disbelieve while looking around, her eyes traveled through all the room as she remained curled up in the soft bed that was a lot better than its appearance.  And the first thing that got her attention was the big windows that the room had.  They looked more like doors, and perhaps she could also use them like that as the pieces of wood had almost the wall's size, appearing to be extremely heavy, by the way. ... Maybe if it wasn't for that small detail, she could use them to run away while she honestly didn't consider that Werecats' and Hesperides' guards were outside each one of them as Alana didn't know how precious she was to them like the rarest gem... Soon her eyes moved to something else, a small object in the corner of the room over a table, or rather saying, above something that looked more like a small dressing table. Alana wasn't sure about what in it had got her attention... However, it made her curious enough even to get up.  She moved lightly until the other side, walking so quietly that no even the Felines would be able to hear her feet meeting the ground until she was in front of her goal, kneeling before the mirror ere she allowed her hand to touch the necklace. She could recognize it from somewhere, but memories seemed to be fuzzy in her mind as she tried to remember from her until she dropped it when it finally came back to her.  ... The woman in the mirror... That necklace belonged to the woman who appeared before her in the mirror instead of her reflection.  ... And as things started to make sense to her now, for the first time, Alana got curious about her own appearance as she also remembered about what happened before she woke there... Slowly moving her head, she allowed her eyes to meet with the mirror in front of her as she couldn't believe what she was seeing... The woman before her could look like her, but at the same time, Alana knew she wasn't her. ... That was the figure of her dreams that she met so many times in the last few months... Golden blonde hair going past her waist in perfect curls that showed how well treated that hair was... Lips pale, yet they were far from dry as hers usually was along with her skin.   ... And the eyes... There was something in the eyes of that figure that didn't belong to her. They were from the woman that she saw on the other side of the mirror, even if Alana didn't know what it was exactly. And without realizing it, her hands touched the small one above the dressing table, almost like she looked for a way back in it... But there wasn't any. "Y-You... What did you do to me?" Like she was going crazy, Alana asked her reflection as if the other woman could respond to her. "Why am I here!? Why am I in your place!?"  Angrily, she kept yelling to the mirror, despite knowing that no one would answer; after all, even in her dreams, she could never talk to her, yet it didn't stop the Human woman from releasing her frustration somehow. "... Are you... Are you there?" Tears were showing up in her eyes as she stared at herself, searching for any sign that proved that the image before her wasn't just a reflection. "... Are you with my family? Are you there in my place... Please, answer me... Help me understand why I'm here instead of you..."  ... Her voice's tone was sad now, almost like she were going to cry at any moment, not allowing her to notice the presence that joined her there... "Well... I'm not really sure about the answer to your question either. However, I can assure you that Dilara will not be the person who will be able to explain that to you."
