Chapter 7 - Present - Alana
"... Calm down... I didn't say it would be possible yet..." Head lowered, eyes closed, Zemira spoke with difficulty, having a hard time breathing as thousands of thoughts and memories of Alana suddenly invaded her head when the young woman touched her.
... That was something that usually, she could easily avoid; after all, she was a lot more experienced than her youthful appearance of only eighteen years old...
However, everything was so unexpected that even she had been taken by surprise when Alana happily came over to her, making it tough for even Zemira to control everything around her at the same time only with her powers.
... Of course, she could be the Oracle of the Twin Moons, but that didn't change the fact that she was just a Hybrid, in the end, being nothing compared to an Ice Dragon or a Divinity...
"But even so! There is a way that I can go home, right ?! I can go back to my own world, right ?!" Perhaps due to her personal taste or to all the hours she spent with her brother, now Alana accepted even more that she was no longer on Earth as the environment created by the other woman reassured her once again.
However, instead of a concrete answer, Zemira just told her to calm down for a second time, letting go of her hands as she murmured something to herself that the young Human could barely hear and which didn't make any sense to her yet...
"What did you say?" And with a strange curiosity growing in her chest, she ended up asking the Oracle, wanting to know more about what those words meant.
"..." But instead of an explanation, her question just made the silver-haired woman look at her strangely, arching one of her eyebrows before she returned to the subject they were talking about earlier. "It doesn't matter now, so tell me, how old are you? And what kinds of powers do you have?"
Zemira already knew that the answer to her second question was none.
However, she didn't want to say how she knew that to that soul who came from another world and had no idea about how things worked in Wholwni.
"... My age?" And likewise, Alana looked back at her strangely as she thought about the Oracle's questions. "... What kind of powers do I have? ... I don't have any like anyone else unless you tell me that the heroes of movies and comics exist in real life, and which clearly, I'm not one of them."
"So you're just a Human... Well, this is something that I didn't expect..." Lying through her teeth, Zemira replied, putting some distance between them to avoid any other unforeseen events that could happen. "What about your age? Please don't tell me that you are just a child or teenager."
Showing a little more of her real personality, the Oracle knew that Alana couldn't be that young. Yet, at the same time, she had no idea about how was counted time in this other dimension from where the young woman came, leaving her uncertain about which should be the actual age of the soul that now resided in Dilara's body...
... Since that could make it even harder to explain somethings to a certain Lion...
"I am not a child or a teenager. I am twenty-two years old woman, and as I said, I'm an emergency room nurse, so it is impossible for me to have less than twenty years old." Maybe Zemira had seen her memo; however, it didn't mean she understood what a college or other kinds of stuff like that was.
There were such things as royal academies and training centers in her world. Still, they were nothing like the human education that Alana had known all her life, so everything she said to the other woman was useless outside her age... And they were completely ignored by the Oracle, even if the young female didn't notice it.
"So you're three years younger than Dilara... Well, I certainly didn't expect that." And being honest about her thoughts, Zemira ended up commenting. "I assumed you two had the same age, or that you were much younger than her- But on second thought, it makes a lot of sense when I think about it now."

"... And that makes a big difference, whyyy? Curious, I ended up asking... Zemira!
... Yeah, that was her name...
But then! Curious, I ended up asking Zemira, feeling like she was already hiding something from me before she even started to explain about everything that was happening at the same time that it seemed my headache would soon return, being there in the back of my mind as thoughts and memories become messy, almost as if at any moment, I would forget my own name.
"Ah! Don't worry about it; this is nothing important that you would want to know about it." Drawing my attention back to her, I heard her mention while waving with her hand, clearly telling me that she wanted me to forget about it.
... And probably I would as now a bad feeling started to take over my chest, erasing my curiosity about this as I pretended to be fine...
"Well, then, can you explain to me what this place is?" After few seconds, I asked her, looking around without noticing how normal I was acting again due to her powers. "What were those creatures? Those people with animal heads and wings?"
... Once more, before I could stop myself, thousands of questions left my mouth at the same time, wanting to understand everything that I was dealing with...
"... And what are you?" And it made me ask even about her, since although she had already introduced herself to me, it meant nothing, after all... She could have told me she was an Oracle, and that was fine, but what did she truly mean with that in the end?
