Chapter 11: Breakfast à la JasonJason followed Howard into the kitchen in silence. While Howard put some water on to boil, Jason rummaged through the refrigerator.
“Most of the stuff you need, the kids will be picking up,” Howard said.
“I’ll get started with what we’ve got,” Jason answered, taking some eggs and a mixing bowl over to the kitchen island.
Jason cracked the eggs and added some milk while Howard salted his water. While Jason was beating his eggs, he noticed Howard was shredding cheese. Although he was still a little pissed at Howard, he smiled as he saw Howard watching him whisk the eggs.
“Do you want me to shred some cheese for your eggs also?” Howard asked.
