“Finally...” naibulalas ko matapos pumayag ni Lorraine. I leaned against my chair and looked at Alexander with a relieved face. “She said yes. She agreed to go with the plan,” sambit ko at sinabi sa kanya ang napag-usapan namin.
“I don’t know if you should be relieved or worried, Thad,” diretsong sabi nito sa akin. “You got used to living alone, right? Ni hindi mo nga kami pinapatuloy sa bahay mo and now you’ll let strangers in your house?”
“I can manage, Alexander. I can adapt to new environment easily,” paninigurado ko sa kanya.
“I doubt that. Kaming ngang mga kaibigan mo hindi ka maka-adapt, what more to a woman and a child who are strangers to you. And what, you’re gonna act like a father? Ni hindi mo nga maalagaan ang sarili mo,”
