The fate of my love

CHAPTER 10

I wake up feeling excited, but I find Shahid's actions as if he is not alive and a dead body. I wondered about his behaviour and couldn't help but ask him the reason of his dull movements to which he replied that he doesn't want me to meet Gaurav. I kept quiet and got ready quickly in case he changes his mind.

Shahid comes towards me and buries his head in the crook of my neck, breathing me. I feel bad for him so I don't disturb him but I hear soft sobs which leave me speechless. He is crying because he is insecure about me. Somehow, I feel that this is the real Shahid which he hides from the world under the mask of evil. I feel like he is soft from inside and that he needs that one life partner who can hold his hand confidently and pull him away from the dark and bring him to the light. After some time, I hear no sobs and I disengage myself from me.

I pull him and he reluctantly follows me to the elevator of the house. I was surprised when he pressed the lowest floor, the basement. I raise my eyebrow at him and he ignores me. I guess he parks the car there.

We come to the basement and I gasp at Gaurav's sight. He is in the basement and is physically healthy but he is bound in chains. I go to him and hug him immediately. He relaxes under my hug. I feel him coming up and kissing my lips.

"Let him go and you can use me whenever you want," I tell Shahid.

"Alright," he says weakly, coming forward and releasing Gaurav's chains but Gaurav refuses to go and stays rooted at the spot. I hug him and gently persuade him to go away from this hell.

I hug him last time and kiss him to express how much I love him and how sorry I am that I am giving myself to Shahid. He kisses me back until I am pulled roughly in the arms of my husband.

He dismisses Gaurav and scoops me up bridal style and carries up, in my bedroom. He kisses me passionately as he makes love to me and I lay there like a corpse. This is going to be a long night...
