Bea’s POV “It's so lovely to meet you finally, Bea," Marcus’ mother said kindly, her voice dripping with sincerity. "I've heard so much about you from Marcus. He's been telling me all about your journey here." she led me into their grand dining hall. I felt a blush rise as Marcus's mother pulled me into a warm hug. The scent of lavender and honey wafted from her perfume, and I felt a sense of comfort. "Welcome to our pack," she said, stepping back to gaze at me with a warm light in her eyes. "We're so glad you've joined us. You're going to fit in just fine." “Thank you so much for having me.” I smiled gratefully. It was like a dream come true. I couldn't believe I was finally out of Elite and away from the horrible beta sisters. This was a day I had only ever dreamt of, and I never thought that I would be this lucky. “Welcome to Fircone.” The pack members began to nod in agreement, their faces breaking into warm smiles. Marcus's sister, who was standing nearby, waved at me enthusiastically. "Hey, I'm Lila!" she said, bounding over to hug me if you bus Car my bank if you take it. "I'm so glad you're here. Marcus has been telling me all about you." I caught Marcus staring at me and felt myself blush. As I hugged Lila back, I couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder at this new world I was stepping into. The warmth and acceptance of the pack members enveloped me like a soft blanket, making me feel like I was finally home. "I'm glad to see you've found your way here, Bea," she said, his voice warm and kind. "You're welcome to stay as long as you like." Marcus stood by my side, his hand wrapped around mine reassuringly. “As you can see, we are a friendly bunch.” he chuckled. The room was filled with the scent of freshly baked bread and roasting meats, and the sound of laughter and chatter filled the air. It was a cosy, inviting atmosphere that made me feel I was precisely where I was meant to be. “So, let's eat. I'm sure you're all starving, as I know I am.” Marcus announced, causing laughter to erupt all around us. As we sat down to a meal together, I couldn't help but feel grateful for this new chapter in my life. Marcus's mother had particularly liked me, and it seemed everyone else was also warming up to me. Once we had finished eating, Marcus's mother offered to show me around, and I was excited to do so. The pack was a sprawling community, with buildings and homes spread across the forest. The air was filled with the scent of pine and earth and birds singing and leaves rustling in the wind. We visited the training grounds, where young pack members practised their fighting skills. Marcus's sister, Lila, was among them, her eyes shining excitedly as she demonstrated her moves. I watched in awe as the young pack members showed off their skills, their movements swift and precise. As we continued our tour, we came across the pack's library, where a group of pack members were gathered around a table, studying and discussing ancient texts. Marcus's mother smiled as she introduced me to the group, and I felt a sense of belonging as I browsed through the shelves, running my fingers over the spines of the books. We also visited the pack's meditation garden, where a group of pack members sat silently, their eyes closed in contemplation. The sound of gentle water flowing through the fountains and the scent of incense wafting through the air created a peaceful atmosphere that was both calming and invigorating. Marcus appeared and offered to walk just the two of us. As we approached the forest's edge, Marcus took my hand, his eyes shining with excitement. "Want to see something special?" he asked, his voice full of mischief. “Yes, please.” I nodded eagerly, and he led me to a hidden clearing deep in the forest. In the centre of the clearing stood an ancient tree, its branches twisted and gnarled with age. The air was filled with the scent of wildflowers and honey, and I felt a sense of magic wash over me as I looked around at the beauty of it all. "This is my favourite place in the pack," Marcus said in his emotion-filled voice. "It's where I clear my head and connect with nature." “It's a wonderful place.” I agreed. I could see why he liked it so much. “Bea, You don't have to worry about anything.” As Marcus spoke, his words were warm and genuine, I looked at him, trying to read his expression, but he just smiled and wrapped his arm around me. "I'm delighted you're here, Bea," he said, his voice low and husky. There was so much I wanted to say and ask him, but I didn't have time to think about it as Marcus pulled me closer and kissed me. It was a soft, gentle kiss, but it sent shivers down my spine. As we pulled back, I looked up at him, my heart racing excitedly. "What does it mean?" I asked him, my voice barely above a whisper. Marcus smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "It means I'm glad you're here," he said. "And it means I want to spend more time with you." My heart skipped a beat as he spoke, and I felt a sense of excitement wash over me. Was this it? Was Marcus finally admitting his feelings for me? I didn't have time to think about it, so Marcus pulled me closer and kissed me again. This time, it was harder and more intense, and I felt myself getting lost in the moment. As we pulled back, I looked up at Marcus, my heart racing excitedly. "What does it mean?" I asked him again, my voice barely above a whisper. Marcus smiled, his eyes shining with excitement. "It means we're taking things to the next level," he said. "And it means we're going to explore this feeling together." I felt a sense of excitement wash over me as he spoke, and I knew this was it. This was the start of something new and exciting, something that would change my life forever.
