I sat on the porch of the pack's main house, feeling mixed emotions as I thought about Bea's recent arrival. I was still fuming about how she had been treated at the elite pack. I was thankful I had taken her away from all of that, and here she seemed happier; even my mother was pleased to have her here. That was more because she desperately wanted me to settle down and have a mate.
It had only been two days, but I had already felt a solid connection to her. I wanted her to be comfortable, so I didn't push it with her even though I wanted to be with her every second I could.
My mother had taken Bea under her wing, and they had gone off shopping for new stuff for Bea. Bea was so timid, but it was apparent how grateful she was since she could not stop saying thank you and bowing down.
"That's just unacceptable," I told myself, trying to calm down. "She was treated like a piece of trash, not like a valuable pack member. She doesn't even seem bitter towards them for how they were towards her, Dwayne. It is wild. Bea is very kind and caring. She is Luna material. i knew it as soon as i set my eyes on her."
I couldn't believe how they had spoken to her, the way they had looked at her. It was like they thought she was beneath them. I shook my head, feeling a surge of anger rise inside me. Those Beta sisters thought they were above everyone, as if I would want to choose one of them for myself. It was clear to me that they had been spoilt rotten.
"She's not beneath anyone," I said to myself. "She's a strong, capable woman who deserves to be treated with respect and dignity. And what did they do? They belittled her, humiliated her, and made her feel like she was nothing."
I sighed, feeling a sense of frustration wash over me. I couldn't believe how some people could be so cruel and heartless.
Dwayne walked onto the porch and sat beside me, his eyes burning with anger.
"I hear you, you know, man," he said. ,
"I can't believe the way they treated her. It's like they were trying to break her spirit."
Dwayne nodded in agreement. "Yeah, I know. But you know what? We're not going to let them win. We will make sure Bea feels loved and supported here at Fircone."
I nodded, feeling a sense of conclusion rise inside me.
"We need to show her we care about her," I said. We need to be there for her when she needs us and make sure she knows she's not alone."
Dwayne nodded in agreement. "Yeah, we need to be there for her. We need to be patient and understanding when she needs us to be. We must show her that we're not just pack members – we're family."
I nodded, feeling a sense of relief wash over me. "Yeah, I think we can do that. We can make Bea feel like she's part of our pack and our family."
Dwayne nodded again, his eyes shining with conviction. "Yeah, we can do it. And I think it will start with being there for her when she needs us – being there for her when she feels scared, overwhelmed, or alone."
I nodded in agreement, feeling a sense of resolve settle over me. "Yeah, I think you're right. We need to be there for her in those moments – when she needs someone to talk to."
Dwayne nodded once more, his eyes shining with confidence. "Yeah, we need to be there for her whenever she needs us – no matter what. Since meeting her, you're like a different man. You know, I wasn't long ago you were adamant you didn't want or need a mate."
I chuckled, feeling a little embarrassed by Dwayne's comment. "Hey, I'm a man, not a robot," I said with a grin. "I'm allowed to change my mind, right?"
Dwayne raised an eyebrow, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "Yeah, but you're also a pack leader, and pack leaders aren't supposed to be so... emotional," he said, teasing.
I shrugged, feeling a sense of defensiveness rise. "Hey, I'm allowed to have emotions, too," I laughed. "And besides, Bea's not just any pack member. She's special."
Dwayne nodded, his expression serious. "Yeah, she is. And we're lucky to have her as part of our pack."
I nodded in agreement, feeling a sense of gratitude wash over me. "Yeah, me too. She's brought a new level of energy and excitement to our pack. And she's been through a lot already, so we should be grateful she's willing to take a chance on us."
I nodded, feeling a sense of embarrassment wash over me. "Yeah, I know what you mean," I said, trying to brush it off. Thanks for being a good friend."
Dwayne smiled and pulled his hand back. "No problem," he said. "Now, let's go get some dinner. I'm starving."
I nodded and stood up, following Dwayne into the house. As we walked through the kitchen, I couldn't help but think about Bea and how much she meant to me. She had been through so much already, yet she was still willing to take a chance on us. I could never let her down, and I wanted those who had inflicted such pain and hurt on her to suffer and be truly sorry for their disgusting ways.
I looked up at Dwayne and smiled. "You know what?" I said.
"What?" he asked, looking at me with a raised eyebrow.
"I think we're going to make Elite sorry for what they have done to that girl. I swear, they will regret everything they did and put Bea through. She does not deserve any of that, and it angers me to think of her alone, upset and hurting. How dare they!"
