Skylar woke up groaning her head was throbbing, and the light was bright as well too she rolled over and bump into something warm, Skylar then open her eyes slowly and gave it few rubs in her eyes. Skylar finally open her eyes and saw a sleeping Jacob beside her, she frowns a bit and sat up slowly and nudge at Jacob.

“Jacob” Skylar said

She rubs her temples and nudge at Jacob again.

“No sleep” Jacob mumble out.

“Jacob get up” Skylar said.

“What” Jacob wine out getting up.

Skylar saw him get up he had no shirt on.

“Why are you naked?” Skylar said.

“Why are you naked?” Jacob said.

They looked down and saw their clothes.

“Oh my god” Skylar said.

They both grab their clothes.

“Did we just?” Skylar said.

“I don’t know, I don’t think so. I don’t remember” Jacob said.

“I don’t feel sore” Skylar said.

“Maybe we didn’t” Jacob said.

“Yeah, plus your gay” Skylar said.

“How do you know?” Jacob said.

“I didn’t black out that part, just after the second bottle of wine” Skylar said.

They finished getting dressed as they sat there.

“I won’t tell until you’re ready” Skylar said.

“I know just, still shocked I told someone” Jacob said.

“Well, now you have me” Skylar said.

“Yeah, for how long?” Jacob asked.

“Until you don’t need anymore” Skylar said.

“What about Claire” Jacob said

“Claire” Skylar said as she sighs out.

“What happened between you too” Jacob said.

“Lots of stuff, I don’t know” Skylar said.

“Well, whenever you’re ready know that I’m here” Jacob said.

Skylar sniffled and wiped a tear away and gave a sad smile and nodded her head.

“We should go get breakfast.” Skylar said.

“Question is my place or yours” Jacob said.

“Ehh, yours I kind of miss your mom’s cooking” Skylar said.

“My place it is” Jacob said.

Skylar and Jacob got up from their spots and got out of the tree house Skylar put on her jacket as they walked towards Jacob’s place.

“Morning” Jacob called out.

“Baby in here” Jacob’s mother Gracie called out.

“Look who I brought home” Jacob said.

“Oh my word little Skylar Williams” Gracie said

“Hi Mrs. Ackerman” Skylar said.

“Come here girl” Gracie said.

Skylar gave her a hug.

“You look like a mess” Gracie said.

“Yeah, welcome back party thanks to Jacob” Skylar said.

“Naughty boy, breakfast is on the counter” Gracie said.

“Thanks Mrs. Ackerman” Skylar said

They both sat down and began eating, soon Skylar met Jacob’s father David, he also gave her a hug.

“So, Mr. Ackerman. I may need your help building a welding machine and outdoor stove” Skylar said.

“Great another project” David said.

“Yeah, Skylar here is an Artist she will be selling her work to the galleries” Jacob said.

“Oh, I would love to see your work dear.” Gracie said.

“Have to wait a week my work is being ship back from New York” Skylar said.

“Great! Can’t wait, here take some back for your mother” Gracie said.

“Thank you, Mrs. Ackerman” Skylar said.

Jacob walked with Skylar back to her house.

“Okay, I will get change and we will get started on the garage still need a few more cleaning up and we need to get you that bed” Jacob said.

“I know, don’t want to sleep on the floor or couch” Skylar said.

“Alright see you in a few” Jacob said.

Skylar nodded her head and went into the house her mother was coming out of the room.

“Mrs. Ackerman told me to bring this for you” Skylar said.

“Did you have fun?” her mother asked.

“Yeah but have to get ready and Jacob is going to come over in a bit and back to work” Skylar said.

“Okay, just trash or donate everything except the pictures” her mother said.

“Yeah, but I’m going to keep dad’s tools though Mr. Ackerman might need it when he helps me set up the welding machine and stove for my potters” Skylar said.

“Okay, also sorry for trashing your bed” her mother said.

“It’s fine mom and make a list on what we need for the house and we can fix it up like roof or new kitchen appliance” Skylar said.

“Alright baby” her mother said.

“I have to go shower now” Skylar said.

Her mother nodded her head, Skylar went into the bathroom and took a shower then went to her room got some old clothes that she can find so far, she found her overalls and paint stain white shirt and put it on with some sneakers and tie up her hair in a messy bun. Skylar then went to the garage opening the doors and began starting off where they left off at yesterday, Jacob came about thirty minutes later and began helping.

“I asked Jake to help” Jacob said.

“Oh, yeah he’ll probably come till were almost finish” Skylar said.

“By then we can start on the yard front and back” Jacob said.

“Yeah, asked my mom what she needs fixing” Skylar said.

“Well, we should redo the garage, head to home depot” Jacob said.

“Sounds good, get some fresh paint fix up the cracks and make more space in here” Skylar said.

“Yeah” Jacob said

They began working by noon they cleared everything out of the garage, Jake came over.

“Told you” Skylar said.

“Seems like you guys are already done” Jake said.

“Yeah, were going to dump this and head to Home Depot so you can start on the yard. Oh, and use your hand the garden tools are old, so we need to buy new ones” Jacob said.

“Bring back a burger” Jake said.

Skylar laughed, as they both got in the truck, they first went to the dump site then drove towards the store they grab some garden tools, paint, cement powder, some board and Skylar grab some flower seeds different kinds. They loaded up the truck and went to stop at a burger joint grab some food and made there way back to the house, when pulling up to the driveway Jake had finished about half the yard.

“Your mom gave me some gloves, where’s the food” Jake said.

Skylar gave him his food they sat on the ground and ate their food.

“We got you the supplies. We are going to do the garage” Jacob said.

“I’m thinking Pizza for dinner” Jake said.

“If you ask your friends to come help. I’ll do beer and pizza” Skylar said.

“Deal! Glad your back” Jake said.

Jacob looked at Skylar as Jake went off taking his phone out.

“I only have you for today and tomorrow, need all the help” Skylar said.

“Beer and Pizza?” Jacob said.

“Mom will be inside all day so” Skylar said.

“Better hope my parents don’t come over” Jacob said.

“But Mrs. Ackerman I told Jacob we can do it” Skylar said giving an innocent face.

“You wouldn’t dare” Jacob said.

“Who do you think she will believe the daughter she always wanted or the naughty boy who took her to a welcome home party?” Skylar said.

“You suck” Jacob said.

“I know come on” Skylar said.

Skylar and Jacob began working on the garage not even an hour that went by as cars pulled up the driveway and some teenage boys came down the car about five of them, Skylar and Jacob stop working as they saw them coming.

“Holy s**t Jake you know Miss. June” one of the boys said.

“Sky this is my friends. Jason, Daniel, Elliot, Tony, and Samuel. Guys this is Skylar, and you already know Jacob” Jake said

“Hi, thanks for helping tomorrow will be burgers for lunch and whatever you want for dinner for helping” Skylar said.

“Sweet, where do we start” Jason said.

“There are tools in the truck needs to be taken down, the yard front and back as well as sides put all the trash in the truck.” Jacob said.

The guys nodded their heads they all went to work, Skylar and Jacob did the fresh paint on the garage and the first load of trash was ready to be dump and the guys asked what kind of beer they wanted and what kind of pizza. Skylar and Jacob left they went to the dumpsite then went to the grocery store getting a big ice chest and grab some of the beers then they went to pizza joint ordered about ten boxes of pizza and some wings.

“You never know; besides, I was craving wings” Skylar said.

“For a skinny girl you sure do eat a lot” Jacob said.

“Tell me about it, I am making up for all those years of having to eat healthy and staying fit” Skylar said.

“I bet” Jacob chuckled.

“Have you ever looked for a boyfriend?” Skylar said.

“No, busy with work” Jacob said.

“Boo, you suck” Skylar said.

Jacob chuckled out, they got back to the house and parked the truck.

“Break time boys” Skylar said.

The six guys came over to the truck as Skylar grab a box of pizza and wings with two beers as her and Jacob went towards the garage.

“God look at them” Skylar said.

Jacob chuckled and shook his head.

“Their teenage boys, Skylar what do you expect their hungry little shits” Jacob said.

“Little shits helping us for beer and pizza” Skylar said.

“Touché” Jacob said.

Skylar chuckle and ate some pizza.

“So why white? I thought you would do some painting on the wall” Jacob said.

“Because when I paint it will get on the walls, so why ruin my work when I can ruin a clean white wall” Skylar said.

“Miss. Skylar Williams such a genius” Jacob said.

“I know, we should get back to work” Skylar said.

Skylar and Jacob began working on the garage they did one more coat, and Skylar drew a layout on how she wanted it to be sit up but first they did the redid the cement floor.

“Skylar, can I get a picture” Jason said coming up to her.

“Yeah sure. Oh, wait” Skylar said.

Skylar went back into the house grab her tripod and camera and brought it out.

“Why not a group photo” Skylar said.

All seven guys stood in line and Skylar was in the front middle as they took a picture.

“I’ll give you guys copies when I build the red room, but for now I guess the phone will do” Skylar said.

They each took a photo with Skylar, and it was time to dump the next load, so she went with Jacob again, they had to get more supplies.

“We need to buy a flatbed” Jacob said.

“Maybe we should do that first” Skylar said.

“Good Idea” Jacob said.

They went to a shop and got the biggest flat bed and drove back to Home Depot and got a lot of supplies Skylar was going to add her red room attaching it to the garage.

“I think were going to need your dad’s help” Skylar said.

“Yeah, I’ll call him” Jacob said.

“Make sure you call Jake first about hiding the beers” Skylar said.

“Yeah, we don’t want to lose our workers” Jacob said.

Skylar chuckled out as Jacob took his phone out and called Jake then he calls his dad, as they were pulling up to the house, they saw chug down their beers and place in the trash bags, Skylar chuckled as she got down from the truck.

“Just put the ice chest in the car” Skylar said.

The guys quickly place the ice chest in the car, Mr. Ackerman was walking over with a tool belt around his waist.

“Skylar, I see you found some helpers, yard looks great job boys” David said.

“Yes, I did. This is the blueprint; however, the garage is wet right now from the cement” Skylar said.

“Okay, I will take Jason, Jake, and Samuel the rest are yours” David said.

“Okay” Skylar said.

The others went to the back of the house and began working, by evening time they went halfway with the yard and Skylar went to check on how far Mr. Ackerman was on the small room, they put the cement down and were now putting the woods together.

“We can finish up in the morning” David said.

“Okay, thanks Mr. Ackerman” Skylar said

David nodded his head and went back home as the guys stood around.

“Make sure you bring the ice chest back I will fill it up again, but the days you help I will only fill it up or you can choose when to use those days” Skylar said.

“Got it” they all said.

“Thanks guys see you tomorrow morning” Skylar said.

The guy’s waved goodbye to her, and it was just Jacob and Skylar sitting on the porch.

“Are you thinking of fixing the house too?” Jacob asked.

“Yeah, new roof fresh paint before I start planting” Skylar said.

“Come on let’s go dump the last trash and grab something to eat” Jacob said.

“Hold on, let me ask my mom if she want’s anything” Skylar said.

“Alright” Jacob said.

Skylar went back into the house.

“Hey mom, were dumping the last load you want anything?” Skylar said.

“Chicken salad and lemonade from Wendy’s” her mother said.

“Okay will be back soon but have to pick up the bed first” Skylar said.

“Okay” her mother said.

Skylar went back out of the house and into the truck and they drove to the dumpsite again.

“We have to pick up a bed” Skylar said.

“Right your bed” Jacob said.

“Yes, my bed, we can also get some dressers too” Skylar said.

After they left the site, they went to another store and Skylar was looking at the dressers and found a matching set she like, they helped her load it up they also went to find a place to eat but they just decided to go with Wendy’s since they needed to set up the furniture. They made it back to the house and Skylar gave her mother her food they sat down at the table and ate.

“I found a nice matching set for the room” Skylar said.

“Why not just take one of the bigger rooms upstairs” her mother said.

“Because I would need to clean out the room and do some more painting in that room” Skylar said.

“Why not we still have fresh paint leftover” Jacob said.

“I don’t know” Skylar said.

“We can get it done tonight” Jacob said.

“Just do it beside I think the master room is empty still” her mother said.

“Okay” Skylar said.

They finished up eating, Skylar’s mother went to go rest as they went up to the master bedroom.

“At least the carpets look new” Jacob said.

“Yeah, get the paint I’m going to check the master bath and closet” Skylar said.

Jacob nodded his head, as Skylar looked around everything looked new not used it just need a paint job in the closet and master bedroom a few moments later Jacob came back.

“Just the room and closet the master bath looks new” Skylar said.

“Yes, just painting” Jacob said.

They put the clear paper down and began painting the room they were finally finished an hour and half.

“We can assemble the stuff in another room” Jacob said.

“Yeah, I think that’s best” Skylar said.

They went out of the house as they carried the boxes upstairs an hour later and a bit of struggle, they were able to bring everything up and found another empty room as they began setting up the dresser’s first then a while later, they were finished with the one big one and two small ones.

“We can do the bed tomorrow when everything is dry” Skylar said.

“Yeah, well for now couch and I will see you in the morning” Jacob said.

“Good with me it’s just for one night” Skylar said.

“Right night Skylar” Jacob said.

“Night Jacob” Skylar said.

Skylar locked the door after Jacob left and went to go lay on the bed, she was tired so as soon as her head hits the couch, she fell asleep. The next morning Skylar woke up and made a big breakfast pancakes, scramble eggs, bacon, sausage, has browns, toast, and Orange Juice with some fresh fruits.

“Morning momma” Skylar said.

“Mmmm morning baby, it smells good” her mother said.

“Yeah, thought I’d make you a hearty healthy breakfast for you” Skylar said.

“Well, you sure did a good job looks good” her mother said.

 Skylar made a plate for her mother and then one for herself as well, so the door to the front door open.

“I smell food” Jacob says.

“In here Jacob” Skylar’s mother called out.

Jacob came into the kitchen, and Skylar made a plate and set it in front of him.

“Skylar if this art doesn’t work out for you there’s always a cooking job for IHop” Jacob said.

“Oh really? Will okay Mr. Big Hot Shot Lawyer why not just hire me at fifty and hour” Skylar said.

Jacob laughed out, they ate their breakfast Skylar went upstairs to take a shower and put some fresh set of clothes on as Jacob clean up the kitchen while Skylar’s mother went into the living room and turn the tv on. Jacob went upstairs as he began moving the dressers into the master bedroom, by the time Skylar finished washing up she went upstairs where Jacob was putting the bed together.

“Seems like you have this handle, I’m going to go outside and start on the yard again” Skylar said.

“Okay, I’ll be out there in a few” Jacob said.

Skylar nodded her head; she went out of the house towards the back door and began doing the yard an hour later Jacob joins her, and the rest of the guys came again along with Jake and Mr. Ackerman they began their work some on the small room and the rest on the yard.
