Jesse Pierce.
I hadn’t heard that name in over a year.
“Nice to meet you Ivy Matthews.” Jesse said stepping forward and holding out his hand for me to shake. I could finally see his face and that just confirmed it. But he knew who I was…either he had forgotten or chose not to tell his friend.
I thought about it. Did it really matter? Jesse could be considered a stranger in a way. And if he wanted it that way, why should I do anything to change that?
“It’s nice to meet you too.” I said, shaking his hand.
Jesse winked at me before turning around to Jayce.
“I’m going to head back to the party, I want to find April.” He told him.
Jayce nodded, “She will be shocked to see you.”
