Chapter Eight
Gray felt like a child being picked up from school when Lionel came to get him for dinner. Lionel had refused to let Gray ride his bike to dinner, and Gray didn’t have the energy to fight him on it. He had been too distracted.
He was going to see Kristie tonight. How could he explain to her that he wanted to give up everything for her? Would she even be receptive? She was still dating Armand, after all. Rick had confirmed that the other night on the phone.
“I think Armand is doing something with the Infernos,” Rick told Gray afterward.
“Why do you think that?”
