Chapter Nine
Kristie looked out of her car window. She was parked in front of the bar that the Devil’s Advocates hung out in. It looked different not blanketed in snow. Kass had begged her to come, saying that she wanted a night out with Kristie. Kristie knew there would be no other place that Kass would go. She was still in the honeymoon phase with Rick, even though they hadn’t actually been able to afford to go on a honeymoon.
Originally, Kristie was going to say no. But she couldn’t help but wonder if Gray would be inside. She wanted to see him, in spite of everything she had told Armand about not feeling anything for him. So Kristie had agreed to see Kass. She had tried to tell Armand that she was going out, but he didn’t even return her calls.
