I pulled myself up from the floor and wrapped up the food I'm to go containers. I'm going over there and he's gonna hear me out on this, I mean he's had a rough week and so have I. how was I supposed to know richard would show up at the coffee shop?

I make my way over there over thinking things as usual once I make it to his door my arms are full but I still manage to knock. I hear him on the other side of the door

" I'm not in the mood for company Luca"

the door swings open and he looks me over and I do the same to him. he's wearing grey sweatpants no shirt, holding a glass of probably whiskey. he moves his body a little letting me in and I slowly go in making my way to the kitchen setting the food down he follows watching my every move, he then probs his self up against the counter holding a bottle of whiskey pouring himself another glass. maybe this wasn't a good idea I think to myself. before I can open my mouth to say anything he takes a drink setting the glass down roughly and looks at the food

" well go ahead and say it. I've heard it all before." " you work to much. you spend to much time with luca. you are to invested in this case"

he throws his hands up and my eyes go wide watching him ramble on as he grabs the glass and fills in back up.

I hop on to his counter beside him taking the glass from him and setting it down. I let my eyes take him in, being this close to his face I can see the stress he's been hiding from me all week.

" first I came here to let you know I wasn't having coffee with Richard. I was sitting by myself enjoying my book until he came and made his self comfortable" I pause as he looks me over his face falls a little and be goes to speak but I place my finger against his lips softly and I continue

" third you do work to much. but I can't complain be because I do also. but you are extremely stressed and you aren't letting me in so I don't know how to help you Nathan"

when I came home I showered and tried to wash the day away. I'm beyond pissed off that she was having coffee with Richard because I should have seen it coming since I've been pushing her away all week. but I didn't want her to see this side of me. this weak side.

after my shower I turned my phone off because her and Luca and now katelynn are calling and I just want to get drunk and get tomorrow over with.

by my second glass my mind is racing then I hear a knock at the door I want to throw something because it's probably Luca checking on me. to my surprise it's Nicole standing there arms full of delicious smelling food looking as beautiful as every with a very worried face.

I want to turn her away because I feel like I don't need to hear her excuses but I let her in and as she slowly walks past me I take her smell in. ah! I had to f**k this up didn't I?!

I watch as she sets the things down and I pour myself another drink. I'm gonna need it.

after I ramble on she calmly hops up on my counter like she belongs here. like she's staying for a while. I fill my glass back up but she takes it from me.

after I hear what she has to say my eyes are wide and I'm so lost in thought as she watches me closely waiting for me to respond.

fuck me if pushing her away didn't ruin this then me acting an ass at the coffee shop probably did. but why is she still here waiting for me to explain why I'm so stressed. I run my hands over my face and let out a sigh. I look her over once more and I can see the worry in her eyes.

I take a deep breath

I tell him and be laughs.

" yeah well I have a very angry wife who says neither of you are talking to her" he says pointing at me an nicole. she shots up wide eyes

I'm so embarrassed about how Luca walked in on us. but damn it does he have bad timing! I'm so needy right now. after hearing him tell me part of his story I just want to hold him and take his mind off of things. that's what girlfriend do right?

once he says katelynn can't get ahold of me I realized I once again forgot my phone somewhat and Nathan laughs at me making me blush.

Nathan joked and I pushed his shoulder while they laughed.

" well I'll be go you kids stay out of trouble"

" tell katelynn I'll call her later!"

I hollerd after him

" thanks man" Nathan said And Luca waved as he was closing the door.

Nathan ran his hand through his hair and sighed deeply so I ran my hands over his chest trying to relax him

" right so I see you brought over food it as delicious"

he said looking over at the containers but at this moment I didn't want food I wanted our moment back. I felt a need to be in his arms
