As Blade walked out of the room with Rebecca he requested that his mother follow. As she follows him next door he quietly shuts the nursery door.
“Mom I need you to call dad and both of you stay tonight and tomorrow night”
“Blade it’s late your father is probably already asleep, why do you want us to be here. You are normally fine with Rebecca all by yourself”
“Mom I will be going to Spain first thing in the morning and I won’t be back until late. I need you to find out as much as you can about the girl and I want dad here in case she is lying and is a threat to Rebecca.”
“Son, she doesn’t appear to be a threat but I understand your concerns and I will call your father. And you don’t have to worry so much. Rebecca is safe and you are taking very good care of her.”
Blade just stared at the floor as he remembers that Rebecca is his top priority. He has to raise her and protect her the best he can.
“Goodnight mom”
As Blade walks out the door he goes down the hall to the guest room so he can still hear if Rebecca wakes.
*Rains POV*
As I wake up I realize how terrified I still am. Someone must’ve came back in the room last night because the baby was taken. I am just hoping that they will let me go and won’t try to trap me here. As I stand up and look at myself in the mirror I realize how ripped and nasty my clothes are. So I look in the dresser and pull out a pair of sweat pants and an over sized t shirt and get dressed. After getting dressed I brush my hair and head downstairs to find the kitchen to get some water. It’s only 4 am so nobody should be up and I will be able to sneak out without anyone noticing. As I reach the kitchen I quickly grab a bottle of water out of the fridge and start to make my way to the door when I hear a voice and turn around
“Where are you going” Blade asks still groggy
“I was just getting a water and leaving” she stated as she nervously looked to the ground
Blade took a good look at her after he noticed her wearing his favorite shirt. Her long strawberry blonde hair laying on her shoulders nicely. She is absolutely beautiful and she looks very attractive in his shirt even better than he looks typically he does not let anyone wear or really even touch his clothes but seeing her in them makes him slightly happy.
“Are you going to hurt me” Rain asks as she slowly back up
“No” Blade says” I would never hurt you, I just noticed how beautiful you look” as he winks at her and moves to the fridge
Rain blushed as she watches him look in the fridge his hair still a mess and him dressed in just his sweat pants allowing all of his muscles to be seen.
“Are you hungry” he asked but she was lost in her thoughts about him
“Hello?” He asked again and she snaps out of it embarrassed and just looks at him
“Breakfast?” He asks again and she just simply shakes her head yes
As he makes them some breakfast he grows curiouser and curiouser about her.
“So, what’s your name?” He asks.
“Rain” she replies sounding hesitant
“ ok, Rain, what do you do for a living?” Blade asks trying to figure more out about the girl
“Well I grew up in an orphanage. And the day I turned 18 I was walking down the street and someone stopped to talk to me and I didn’t think anything about it until I was put into the back of the car and nocked out. I woke up in the basement and was there for over a month.”
“So your only 18?” Blade asks
“Yes” Rain states as she looks at him with curious eyes “how old are you?”
“24” he replied
“And how old is your daughter?” Rain asked curious about the baby
“She is only 2 months old.”
“I should be heading out now” Rain stated as she stood up and headed to the door
“Why are you leaving? I told you that it is safer here and I will protect you” Blade Stated as he looked at her trying not to burn breakfast
“Well I don’t belong here and I’m sure your wife won’t want a strange women staying in your house” Rain stated as she opened the front door and vastly walked out of the house. Blade ran to catch up with her.
“Get back in here now” he stated as she kept walking she turned around and noticed that he was starting to leave the house to follow her.
I took off running faster than ever before letting my legs lead the way after I finally to the wooded area beside the house.
