“Fine” Rain stated as she sat back town terrified of what would happen if she continues to try to walk out.
“I was kidnapped over a month ago and I’ve been held in a mans basement while he tried to force me to agree to marry him”
Blade looked at her with angry eyes that seemed also caring at the same time.
“Who did this to you?” He growled demanding an answer
“I don’t know who he was. All I know is that he kept telling me that he is very powerful and wealthy and could keep me as long as he wanted” she stated as tears went down her face.
“Well you are not leaving because you will be safe here. Whoever it is will surely be looking for you” Blade said as he walked out the door.
Rain was terrified as she sat there hoping that he didn’t know the man was keeping her. Obviously they are both wealthy and by the way he is speaking to her he obviously has power.
The door slowly creeks open and Sophia comes in and sets down next to rain and gives her a very concerned look.
“He told me what happened honey, are you ok?”
As Rain thought to herself that she could simply lie to the women and say that she is ok she thought to herself that it would be best that she tell the truth in case these people can actually help her.
“No, I’m not. I’m scared. The man that took me wanted to marry me. He was going to force me. Something about losing his power unless he married.” Rain explained
“ You are safe here” Sophia explained as she notices Rain tense up even more.
“I’m worried that he will find me here or that the man that was in here a minute ago knows him and will hand me back over” she explained as her crying woke the sleeping baby.
“Blade?” She said as she let out a soft laugh.”honey he is not going to hand you over to anyone”. “He feels the need to protect you and he doesn’t even know you. Nobody but family or his men enter this house, yet he brought you in here. I don’t know who you are but there is a reason that he brought you in here.”
She explained as the door opened and Blade stuck his head in.
“Mom, I need to speak with you for a moment alone” then he stepped back into the hall and waited.
“I hate to ask this of you sense she is so upset but will you please hold Rebecca for just a moment” Sophia asked Rain as she handed her the baby and walked out the door.
Rain just looked at the beautiful baby girl that had been places in her arms that calmed instantly as she held her. The baby quickly cuddles in and fell back to sleep.
“That’s so weird, she has never let someone take her while remaining that calm” Sophia stated as she walked out the door.
*Blades POV*
Sophia walked out the door shutting it quietly in attempts not to wake the sleeping baby who was having an obviously restless night.
“Where is Rebecca” Blade asked with sudden fear of where she went.
“She is in the other room with the girl”
“She hates strangers. Go get her and then we will talk”
“She might hate strangers but she peacefully went to sleep as soon as the young women took her”
Blade cracks the door open to see the young women asleep while holding the two month old baby carefully as they both slept.
“ I’m getting Rebecca and the girl can sleep in here but tomorrow you will speak with her and find out more about her” he instructed her as he walked into the room to get the sleeping baby.
