Mafia Love?

O’Conner

I ran as fast as I could through all of the trees wishing that I had at least put on some shoes before leaving as it is the middle of winter and freezing outside. I can hear him running fast behind me and he has almost caught up to me. As I turn my head for a split second to see where he was, he was nowhere in sight. I turn back around to keep going and bump straight into something. 

“Are you going to walk into me often” Blade states as he looks her straight in her eyes. 

“Please just let me go” she states begging to keep going and get as far away from here as possible. 

“No you are coming back with me and that is final. You can not be out here by yourself. if you were right then whoever had you will go looking for you.” She realized that he was right and she didn’t have much of an option but to listen to him because she had no where else to go. 

She simply nodded her head and started walking back with him. 

“I will be leaving this morning and I will be gone until late tonight or early morning.  My mother will be staying as well as my father. Just do me a favor and stay in the house” he asked grumpily as they walk back to the house. 

James meets them at the front door. 

“Blade, what are you doing out in the woods?” He asks while starring at Rain at first not recognizing her. 

“Well I was chasing Rain down as she was running away” hames just stairs at him and then laughs. 

“So you kidnapped the girl” he asks while looking at her. She looks back at him with tears in her eyes terrified. 

“I can leave any time I want to” she shouts as she turns around again deciding that she shouldn’t trust him and end up in the same situation yet again. 

“Turn your ass around and get back in this house” Blade yells as he clings the front door open  

“And who exactly is going to make me?” Rain asks as she continues walking away 

“I mean it Rain, get over here now” Blade demands as James starts walking towards her.  

“You can’t make me you have no power over me. I don’t even know you” she states with her back turned as she continues but James catches up and grabs her wrist tightly. She let out a whimper as the pain went through her wrist from the excessive rope burn. She just stands and stairs at him while holding her wrist. 

Blade quickly runs over to her and pulls her behind him and stares straight at James with cold eyes. 

“James you better back up and now” Blade says angrily as he holds the hand of Rain continuing to hold her behind him with one arm while the other pointed a gun at James . Rain was unsure why he was protecting her and why he felt he needed to but she felt safe. 

“Blade I didn’t mean to hurt her just calm down man” James said as he stepped back knowing exactly what would happen if he continued to push his buttons. 

An older man starts walking up the bath to the house and sees what is happening and starts running towards the two men. 

“Blade O’Conner what the hell is going on here” he asks as he stared at the gun pointing to James 

O’Conner. Where do I know that name from Rain asked herself and then it hit her 

“You are the leader of the O’Conners” she stated clearly in fear of the man in front of her she fights to get away from him and takes off running behind the house to get away. 

Blade stairs at James and his father and takes off running attempting to catch her before she gets away again. 

*Blades POV*

I hadn’t told her yet because I didn’t want her to freak out. No I don’t know her but I feel the need to protect her. I feel the need to take care of her and know that all I want is to make sure she is safe so I chase her. 

“Rain stop” I yell while chasing her. At this point I notice my father and James running close behind. Then my mother walks out the front door and yells “Stop” one word that even stops Rain dead in her tracks. And all of us just look at her. 

“Rain sweetie come here” she said as she stares at all of the rest of us chasing her. 

“Blade, James, Christopher  I want the three of you to go inside and to the office right now”. She demands and all of them men walk back towards the front of the house as Rain walks to the back door. 

*Rains POV*

“Now tell me sweetie what happened” she asks as they set at the little table on the back porch. 

“I tried to leave and Blade chased me and then I was coming back with him when his friend made a joke about him k********g me and I just started walking away which made him mad. His friend followed me and grabbed my wrist which hurt and then Blade freaked out and pointed a gun at him.  And then the older man ran up and came up and yelled Blades full name and that’s when I realized that he is the leader of the O’Conner gang and freaked out and ran” Rain explained talking very fast scared of what will happen next 

“ why were you leaving?” She asked which confused Rain because she did not belong there. 

“I don’t belong here. And I’m not trying to start any marital problems when his wife shows up” she stated looking at her 

“ wife?” She chuckles while watching her” honey Blade isn’t married” 

“He has a baby” I say very confused 

“Rebecca? Oh honey. That’s not his daughter. He is raising her now as his own. That is his brothers baby but he and his wife passed away in a car accident” she said with extremely sad eyes. Rain felt so bad for bringing it up. 

“I’m very sorry but I still don’t belong here” she stated. 

“Honey, come inside and stay. Please. There’s got to be a reason he feels as if he needs to protect you. He is drawn to you. Are you not drawn to him?” She asks and Rain just looked at her knowing that she is  

“I am but that doesn’t change the fact that someone is after me and I need to get away before he finds me” I say and I am scared  

“Rain honey go inside and back to the room you stayed in last night while I go talk to all of the men and we will speak again later” I just simply nod and walk in the house
