Chapter 25: I don't Like Being Spied

1680 Words
Vincent’s POV She is right here, in my arms and could feel her faint heartbeat going strong. Do I sound like a poet? I don’t care because that’s what she makes me feel. She brings the extreme in me and I would kill anyone who would harm her. As I licked her earlobe gently and went down to lick her neck, she clinged more to me and her skin melted me—she was hot! Temperature wise as well. My mind was busy registering each and every detail about her as those times when I thought to claim her crossed me. Finally, I gave in… I gave in to my burning desires because our relationship was deeper than anything. It’s like two bodies one soul with magnetic or cosmic attraction—pure, as per vampire’s world. I sucked on her neck feeling the urge to taste her blood grew in me. The jugular vein protruded as I kept sucking over the skin. The instant desires built up in my stomach and down in the member that only responds to her. I angled her head to have better access when suddenly, I froze. My head felt a jolt before everything disappeared slowly, right in front of my eyes. I pulled back, curious. The air around me was cold; even I felt it. There was nothing but me and a fast beating heart near me. I snapped my head in its direction only to find Tasha grinning wickedly. My head tilted as leisurely walked to her. She leaned forward a little with a hand on her knee while the other, extended out for me to reach. Somehow, her actions reminded me of the early morning incidents. Her smile faltered as she frowned eyeing me. “Tasha?” I called and she nodded her head. “Take us back home.” I ordered as her frown deepened. “Na-uh!” She refused and opened her arms wide to give a flap and there she was flying away. My heart that wasn’t there, sank in my stomach as I was left alone to god knows where. My concern wasn’t me but her—her safety because she was reckless, she was absentminded and she was being stupid. “Don’t call me that!” her voice reverberated in my head as I cringed at that. Out of blue, she charged at me; flying right towards me. I didn’t flinch or move and just as I felt, she stopped right half an inch from me. Her pretty eyes turned black as the fury visible through them. “Sorry baby girl.” I cooed but she glared until her thinned lips turned to malicious smile. “My daddy wants to take… all of me!” She didn’t ask but state with that grin which made me uncomfortable. “You want this… daddy?” She stepped even closer as her chest touched to mine and I sucked in my breath. I don’t breathe! I never do that. I don’t need a f*****g air because I was dead but right now, she made me suck in the breath. “Baby girl?” I questioned as she pulled back and laughed hard. “Is daddy scared?” she said feigning innocence which was opposite to this Tasha. “Baby girl… please take us home.” This time I pleaded as I grabbed her by the waist and pulled her into me. She wasn’t expecting that as surprise crowned her face. “Daddy wants you! Yes, I want you a lot but…” I waited deliberately pausing as I brushed my lips on her intentionally. “Right now, you’ll take us home. Okay?” I stared right into her eyes when she was vulnerable and it worked! It finally worked—my hypnotism. Her eyes turned glossy as she nodded her head. Her palms came to blind my eyes and asked me to close my eyes shut, which I did. “Somnium in domum suam” (Dream of home) She ordered and just like that… I saw myself still in the previous position as everything was still. She was there, clutching my hair and her eyes shut. A tolerating expression set on her face as I sucked on her nape. This was enough to get me back in the mood as I felt us slid and collided with our bodies. We jerked as I created a distance between us. Both of us panting; not literary me but she was. Her eyes set on me with embarrassment evident on her face. She was the same baby Tasha and I couldn’t feel less delighted about it. It made it what the human say? Taboo or i****t? I don’t really care and don’t give a f**k to it. Caressing her cheek with the pad of my thumb, I smiled at her and she quickly snuggled into me. Our short intimate moment was disturbed by none other than the… humanly scent of earth and musk, determinant and highly gentleman whose blood gave away his characteristic. “Welcome Lachlan!” I whispered as he dashed in the room and came to check on Tasha. I chuckled knowing well that Emma was spying on us and the phosphoric and sweat smell suggests that adrenaline rushed through her. I don’t like being spied. Before any of them could have come to me, I vanished to reappear in front of them. They startled, especially the girl why Edward looked furious. “What are you doing here?” He said under his breath, glaring at me. “Ow! Aren’t you to adorable? One, spying on the ancient vampire and the other… stealing other’s childe!”  I spat at them. Edward gulped while Emma feared the worst. She was imagining me pinning her and sucking her dry then left to die. I was furious but her imagination just drained everything off. I chuckled, adding frustration to Edward. “I am going anyways.” I announced and wrapped my cloak around me; disappearing into thin mist. “Master, Mr. McCartney is here.” Lucian bowed and informed as I kept my long strides to reach the living hall. Reaching the long mahogany oak table that was surrounded by McCartney, Callum and their two other ministers along with their minions. “Ah! I was expecting you.” I smiled and sat there as they were surprised. “So, you can finally smile?” McCartney asked. “I can even laugh.” I pointed just as I chuckled, taking them by surprises. They exchanged glances at each other before turning to me. “Is it about that threat? What was her name now?” he asked annoyed as Lucian blurted. “Tasha!” I snapped my head at his direction, studying him. He surely knows his punishment. “Yes! So, is it about her?” he asked again but I ignored not wanting to create trouble than the one they are here to discuss for. “I thought we were here to discuss something more than that.” I shrugged my shoulders and could see him plotting my decapitation. Poor man! I was way stronger than to get into his reach. People can only win over me by… I won’t even think of that. “So, why aren’t you able to find the culprits behind the London m******e? The same incident has happened over Ghana, Cyprus, Constantine and the surrounding areas. It won’t be a surprise if it Salvos, next.” McCartney said and I could sniff the anger rushing through his blood. (Technically other’s blood in his system) “Master, we have someone else requesting to join the meeting but considering that fact that it’s a woman; I informed her if we could ask you first.” Callum bowed a little while my eyebrows shoot up. “I don’t remember imposing a law barring woman to participate in defense, law-making or other such activities?” I asked sternly as I felt some of them squirm in their places. “Don’t be a foolish Vincent. As per the saying goes, no solution would come out if women are involved in the panel.” McCartney chuckled as I glared at him. “I never asked you to meddle in between Cartney.” I hissed as his laughter died. “Go, call that woman inside.” I ordered no one in particular as I could see someone disappear from the corner of my eyes. “I am resigning! Women are good and all but in bed, not in f*****g serious matters like THIS!” McCartney snapped at me. “We would need you but if you want to leave, that’s your choice but don’t forget one thing. If not for the goddess Shaman; we wouldn’t have been able to foresee some hidden threats to our community! If not for the help of Mrs. Lawrence and her kids; we wouldn’t have survived many tricky and deadly situations and most importantly, I think you have totally forgotten the fight in 1682 where we almost lost to the rogues; but all thanks to the community women who finally backed us up!” I said sliding my long pointed finger over the table’s surface lazily. My focused changed from the reluctant McCartney to Lucian who smelt like nervous. Taking a quick glance; my mind linking every single details of current events in my head like a re-play as I tried to watch him. At the mention of the woman; he squinted his eyes and didn’t listen to the Aver (Callum’s minion). “Okay. I will stay but not because I changed my mind; but due to the bigger threat posing right now!” I could smell dopamine from Callum and others as I smiled inwardly at the poor excuse he gave. My eyes connected to Callum as I squinted at him, making sure he has my attention. ‘Stop the woman to show up.’ I directed him and then broke the connection. He nodded slightly before getting off the bed. “I’ll have to go somewhere urgently. I will furnish any other information that I might have.” He waved his hand and vanished in the thin air, leaving ash particles behind. I rolled my eyes as I called Minerva to clear it up. McCartney left as well and could sense Lucian on edge. “Ah! My dear boy Lucian.” His eyes twinkled hearing me say that. “How about you doing my rituals on my behalf? I wouldn’t want any other minion do this expect someone special which, in no doubt; is you.” I said giving him a matter-of-factly tone and he believed. He grinned and bowed lowly than before; delighted to other level. “I definitely will, Master.” He came and took my hand before kissing it. “My only pet!” I smiled and patted his head lovingly. He retreated and my smile dropped. One thing was confirmed that Lucian was plotting something which I needed to find out soon.
