Vincent’s POV
I had teleported to the Midwest where I would meet Callum and the woman to hear her out.
He rushed to me as I covered the long hallway in four strides. My focus was straight in the end while I heard Callum bend.
“Master, I’ve compelled Aver to find something out from Lucian. There’s the hunting night before their mating season; we can get our lead then.” Callum whispered as I rubbed my chin thoughtfully.
“I tried past his head but it didn’t work.” I stated as he gasped.
It indeed was surprising as there is no one except Tasha who is able to block me from their head. Secondly, he is my pet wherein he wouldn’t dare do anything except not bringing it to my knowledge.
“Is he involved?” Callum asked the obvious as I didn’t answer.
“Where’s that woman?” I asked and he hesitated again.
With the clap of his hand, a minion rushed in.
“Sire, she… she isn't here.” He says rather scared and my eyebrow scrunched together.
“Where’s she?” Callum fumes, standing up from his chair and glaring at the minion.
Aver was lowering down, squatting in fear while I sighed not wanting to waste my time. I reached him and he flinched.
“Don’t worry. It would pain a little.” I instructed before biting his neck and sipping some blood as his memories came flashing into mine.
Stunned and annoyed, I pushed him away before licking his neck close. The fangs site healing automatically as I growled.
“There’s no hint. Whoever took her has made sure to erase all the trace!” I screamed and hit the table which went flying away in circular motion before crashing into the wall.
“Master!” Callum pleads as I tried to control myself.
“I’ll find her out soon. Please rest assured.” His words calm me a bit.
Of course I needed to remain calm and not blow things for myself but where she could be? She definitely had the most important information!

Edward’s POV
Merbourn Enterprise…
Haaah! It’s good to be back. Astonishingly, I received the same place and the HOD accepted me as if they weren’t able to perform well in my absence.
I chuckled inwardly because being there before, done the investigation about their profiting shares and new ventures. Their stats were impressive and since I have worked here before; I loved to be back.
My fellow colleagues were surprised to see me and gave that brotherly hug along with whistles when they saw me stepping inside. That was pretty great to be honest. It wasn’t long when I got immersed in my work and enjoyed every second of it.
Gosh! There’s lot to catch up.
My desk clicked as I snapped my eyes up to find Katie blushing slightly. She averted her gaze the moment our eyes met and tucked her hair at the back of the ears. Beautiful!
She has always been bold, confident and beautiful but there’s something about this shyness when I am around her that amuses me. My eyebrow shot up and she gestured towards her phone’s display.
“Oh is it already? I didn’t even realized that.” I chuckled along with her, packing my stuff.
“How did you know?” I asked finally following her out of the office as she gave me a ‘seriously’ look.
I mentally slapped my face remembering she would know. She’s a witch after all.
‘Wait a minute! Does that mean she was checking on me?’
I halted, not understanding how to digest that. She turned around and gave an enquiring look. Shaking my head, I walked beside her and soon were joined by Leina who seemed to be pretty worn out.
“Hey, Lachlan!” She gave me a warm hug and my eyes widened.
What was that?
The more people became too friendly, the more guilt crept in my body. I think, walking away without informing them was worst on my part. Awkwardly I smiled at her as we grabbed a table; adjusting overselves in the café.
“You seemed to have run miles.” I joked as she sighed in fatigue.
“You have no idea. I wonder how Tasha had managed everything. Is that to do something with her being supernatural? I don’t know but my feet won’t be able to take this s**t load anymore.” She massaged her temple and Katie chuckled.
“Yea, yea and she have been saying that for over an year now.” Katie grinned at me and my heartbeat raced.
Leina punched her and groaned. “If not for that broken Damien; trust me, I would have resigned long back. Jeez, that guy is hard to work with.”
She complained and this time I laughed making them stare at me weirdly.
“I never knew you would say that about him.” I teased and she took it pretty well with a nervous grin.
“There’s lot more that I want to say but won’t!” She mocked and we all laughed knowing where she was hinting at.
“Please go give my order.” I suggested as I went to bring their orders along with mine.
Waiting in the line, I felt uneasy. Somehow I felt there was something wrong and instantly remembered Tasha.
What was she doing? Is she alright?
Pulling out my phone, I called her but nobody answered. Even, Emma wasn’t picking her phone and it made me anxious. Suddenly I realized, Yuri would be there and dialed his number.
A woman picked it up, making my face twist.
“Yuri?” I questioned, the anxiety kicks in.
“Mr. Lachlan! Yuri must have reached there, hasn’t he?” She asked in a motherly concern and I suspected that I was talking to his mother.
“I… I guess, he has. I wanted to check on him but… can you provide me his number?” I asked and she eagerly agreed.
“Why not? I’ll text his number but Edward!” The voice deepened and came out in heavy breath.
“Are you alright ma’am?” I asked nervously when there was an absolute silence at the other end.
“Et confortabitur lunae est potens sugere pascuntur animae sitienti metus. (this full moon they will grow strong and powerful, feed on fear and suck their soul dry. )
Et ecce venient (They are coming)” She said in a high pitched quivery voice that brought chills to me.
Left in a daze, I tried to decipher what she meant when I heard a distant bell ringing fiercely.
“Sir!” Someone shook me and turned to face Leina who was eyeing me with worry.
“Alright! We are leaving.” She yelled to someone behind my back as she gripped my wrist and pulled me away.
“What happened?” She asked but I wasn’t able to form any words.
I didn’t realize that I was sweating until Katie came beside me and wiped away my face with a hanky. She handed me water, urging me to drink it.
Gulping down the water like a thirsty animal; I finally eyed the two cousins.
“She said… they are coming, this full moon.” I answered as they stared each other with meaningful glances.
Sighing loudly, Leina sat beside me and Katie placed a hand on mine.
“We won’t understand anything like this Edward. You need to tell us what happened in details.” She said in a calm voice and I nodded my head frantically.
My only concern was Tasha. I had kept her away and protected for so long and now we are back to NY only to invite the troubles back again. This was scary. She’s still young, untrained and if someone has decided to come for us; there was no doubt it meant they are after her. How in the whole world am I going to protect her, this time?
I shivered not wanting to go through that ugly feeling, again!
I love her for god’s sake!
When my breath became even, I informed them everything and could see the panic in their eyes as well.
Despite that, they gave me an assuring gaze and smiled weakly.
“We’ll find a way.” They smiled politely and I hope it is true.

Tasha’s POV
Wrong!
Wrong!
Wrong!
They are wrong about everything!
I sighed and continued to draw. Not that I know more about myself but I can listen to their thoughts clearly along with the one’s they aren’t thinking about—their feelings.
Does it make me weird?
Thinks so…
I maybe be growing physically but my soul was still young.
Shhhh… They needn’t know that.
Smiling lightly at their innocence; I don’t pay heed to them much because there’s something else that’s intolerable. It’s the coldness; the bitchy and dark part of me which constantly tried to push in.
Confused?
Huh! Even I am but with help from my guardian angel; I have learnt my reality.
Vamphoenix!
Vampire’s coldness, speed, telekinesis, telepathy, sexuality and power along with Phoenix’s immense strength, healing power, fire, hotness, freedom, holiness, loyalty and reborn—A deadly combination that can possess threat to any specie.
I am not a mixture or hybrid but it’s more like a double personality… more like the Dr. Banner and The hulk? Now, do you get me?
The two personalities are constantly at the war but not when I am angered or when ego is hurt but when I am overwhelmed or the other is feeling a strong emotion.
What they don’t get is… I am home! There’s nothing they can do to stop the transition. Regardless of my age, my mind is far more developed than they expect. Nonetheless, I chose to remain silent because of the danger that’s lurking at the corner.
I just need to be well prepared in case… they decide to attack me or my loved ones.
