Yao Xue traced his finger with the tassel that Yong Jie gave him. It was the first time someone gave him something so Yao Xue treasured it and hung it on Jijing.
Yao Xue stood up when he saw Yong Jie stirred from lying still on the bed for three days. Yao Xue thought he was too late when he went back and saw Yong Jie laying on the floor. Yong Jie was close to dying and Yao Xue never felt that relieved knowing that Yong Jie was still alive.
Yao Xue staggered after losing a lot of energy trying to give it to Yong Jie for days but Yao Xue still hurried to Yong Jie.
"Yong Jie." Yao Xue called and Yong Jie exclaimed as he opened his eyes and sat up startling Yao Xue.
"Yao Xue! I'm alive!" Yong Jie exclaimed.
"Of course, you are." Yao Xue sat down on the bed beside Yong Jie.
"I thought I was only dreaming when I opened my eyes then I heard your voice calling me." Yong Jie said in one breath.
He spent days looking at Yong Jie sleeping on the bed, unconscious and he couldn't help but missed his antics and his noisy mouth.
"Young master Yao Xue really defeated the plague demon." Yong Jie grinned.
"It was Sect leader Teng Fei. They arrived and helped. If it weren't for Sect Leader Teng Fei, I wouldn't have found you alive here." Yao Xue said and Yong Jie could see in Yao Xue's eyes how worried he was making Yong Jie felt happy that someone would be worried for him.
"Did I made you worry?" Yong Jie asked and Yao Xue didn't answer.
Yao Xue was just relieved that Yong Jie was doing well. "How are you feeling?"
Yong Jie stretched his arms and he felt like he didn't come knocking on the death's door, he felt like he just had a good night's sleep.
"I'm fine, surprisingly." Yong Jie said then he turned to Yao Xue guessing that it was because of him that he felt that good. Yong Jie leaned closer to Yao Xue who was surprised. Yong Jie didn't give Yao Xue time to back away and held his jaw, scanning Yao Xue as he leans his face from side to side.
Yao Xue's complexion was always pale but this time was different. It was a different pale color.
"You didn't give me your energy while I was asleep, did you?"
Yao Xue held Yong Jie's hand that was holding him and pulled it back to Yong Jie. "I am fine."
Yao Xue already felt fine seeing Yong Jie alive and in his usual self again. Yao Xue flicked Yong Jie's forehead and stood up. "Take some more rest before we start heading to Xueguo."
Yong Jie's eyes brightened hearing Xueguo. Yong Jie always wanted to visit the place and to think he would be going with Yao Xue made him excited and happy. Yong Jie wondered how beautiful the Yao Sect palace would be since Yao Sect belonged to one of the four major sects in the world.
Yong Jie looked at Yao Xue. "I don't want to sleep alone."
Yao Xue glanced at Yong Jie who grinned at him.
"I need to get—"
"Ahh!" Yong Jie interrupted, crying as he held Yao Xue's hand and pulled him in the bed with him. "We'll eat later." Yong Jie said and laid Yao Xue down then scooted closer to Yao Xue.
Yong Jie smiled at Yao Xue then closed his eyes, didn't want to argue anymore. Yong Jie felt Yao Xue's arm wrapped on his waist making him look at the man feeling his cheek heating up only to see Yao Xue already fast asleep.
It must have been tough for Yao Xue to take good care of Yong Jie who always gets into trouble. Yong Jie hoped that Yao Xue would never get tired of him.
Yong Jie brushed the strands of hair falling on Yao Xue's face and scanned his face. So handsome even when asleep. Yong Jie closed his eyes with a smile on his lips. "...like you." He muttered before he fell asleep.

Yong Jie woke up first and went out to buy them something to eat. Yong Jie thought that Yao Xue might have been eating the foods in the inn for days so he went out to buy a new menu for Yao Xue. Yong Jie heard talks about the plague demon from the people outside and how Teng Fei defeated it. Yao Xue couldn't help but smile when he heard them mentioned a cultivator in white who also helped.
After buying foods, Yong Jie went back to the inn and found Yao Xue still asleep in the same position. Yao Xue placed their foods on the table and waited for Yao Xue to wake up. Yong Jie crossed his legs and sat on it then meditated. Yong Jie's qi was stable and his body was in really good condition.
Yao Xue woke up and found some untouched food on the table, growing cold for how long it has been there and Yao Xue didn't know if he should shake his head or laugh seeing Yong Jie sitting with his crossed legs, his upper body was slumped on the wall and he was breathing evenly. Yong Jie fell asleep in the middle of meditating!

Yong Jie was glad that Yao Xue recovered after that long sleep and was back on ignoring him and wearing that cold face as they continued to travel to Xueguo, a few miles away from North Bing Guo.
Yong Jie couldn't hide his excitement when they reached Xueguo before the sunsets. Yao Xue was worried to Yong Jie so he suggested to call it a day and spend their night in another inn and continue traveling the next morning but Yong Jie insisted to cross the last six miles to Yao Sect.
Yong Jie was amazed seeing the Yao Sect palace from afar since it was planted on top of a mountain. Yong Jie felt tired when they arrived in front of the gates and two guards opened it for them and welcomed their young master's arrival.
Yao Xue just nodded and guided Yong Jie inside. They passed along pavilion then stopped to another gate. When the gate opened revealing what was inside, Yong Jie exclaimed and wanted to roll on the ground seeing a grand five flights of stairs on the way up to the Yao Sect palace. Almost a thousand steps up until the top.
Yong Jie cried and wished they should have stayed in the inn for the night.
