He even sprawled on the floor in front of the Sect leader Qiang like a spoiled brat and firmly said that no one else but only Yao Xue could teach him. Sect leader Qiang, with a heavy heart, called some of the Yong sect disciples and ordered to punish Yong Jie in front of him with a hundred whips of the Yong Sect golden ruler after disobeying his words. It was the first time Yong Qiang punishes Yong Jie. Never would he thought that his most adored and the only son who didn't know how to disobey him would do such things to him. He was so disappointed. Yong Jie was pushed down on his knees and he cried on the first whip, his back stinging from the pain of being struck by a huge ruler. Yong Jie tried to endured the pain on his back, every whip becoming even more painful to the pointed that he was about to pass out but he stood on his ground and properly received his punishment. Yong Jie forgot about how strict people were in that time. Of course, sect leaders would never tolerate, especially their childrens, to do as they wanted to. He was starting to feel suffocated and he didn't want to live in that era anymore. Yong Jie couldn't kneel straight halfway through the punishment that one of the disciple had to support him. His knees shaking and he was clutching to the disciple. When the last whip was released, Yong Jie fell on the floor with his head spinning and all his energy were drained. "I hope you understand why I punished you, Ah Jie." Sect leader Qiang said as he looked at his son who was trying to get up on his knees again. He looked away, couldn't bare seeing his son in that condition. "Yes, father." Yong Jie said as best as he could and gestured a bow before he tried to stand on his feet with his knees buckling. Gladly, one of the disciple helped him whom Yong Qiang gestured to help Yong Jie and supported him to walk back to him room. Yong Jie didn't forgot to murmured his thanks and went inside room, he peeled his robes slowly. Every move of his muscles sent a stinging pain on his back. He never felt that pained in his entire life that he wanted to die. Yong Jie would rather choose to be hit by a truck than to be punished by that ruler again. After getting rid of the upper robes, Yong Jie laid on his stomach and fell asleep immediately in exhaustion. ××× Yong Jie groaned when he heard someone calling outside the door. He hissed when he moved his body as he turned on his side forgetting about his bruised back. "f**k!" He cursed and Yong Yi heard him from outside. "Ah Jie! I heard about what happened!" Ah Yi said. Yong Jie couldn't even move a muscle so he just stayed in the bed on his stomach. His body felt so weak and he could feel his breathe was warmer than normal. He was having a fever. Just great! "Come in." Yong Jie said in a weak and hoarse voice and closed his eyes hearing the door sliding open and steps were approaching him. "Ah Jie! Your back look horrible!" Ah Yi exclaimed as he hurried towards the bed and examined Yong Jie's black and blue back. "I know. I know. I want to rest so don't make too much noise." He said in a whisper as he tried to go back to sleep. "Should I tell mother about this? Should I call Royal physician Fang?" Yong Yi asked and Yong Jie waved his hand. "Don't tell anyone. Not the physician or father and especially, not mother. Understand?" "But—" "Hush! I'll be okay after a day of rest." "If Ah Jie say so." Yong Yi said but still worried at his younger brother who feel asleep again. He needed to do something. Yong Yi sat on the bed. With his fore and middle finger together, he pointed it on Yong Jie's back close yet not touching his bruised skin and started giving his spiritual energy to Yong Jie. He could feel Yong Jie's burning temperature and he wasn't doing enough. If he couldn't tell his parents and the physician and Ah Xian wasn't there to help, then there was only one person he knew with strong spiritual energy who could help them.
