Chapter 10 New Beginnings

1071 Words
As Alliah started her new life as an author, she found herself engrossed with her book. Since it had been approved under Dreame and is ongoing, she devoted her time to writing daily, especially at dawn as she used to have fresh ideas and her brain neurons activated well at that time. She found a new dimension to her life through writing. She can fully express what's hidden behind her smile and sorrow of her past and imagine beautiful beginnings in the end. She started to check her sss and IG friends and promote her book as she needed 500 followers to make her first book launch successful. She then checked her sisters' connections and friends in their accounts as well and started to make friend requests to whom she knew as well. She had seen some familiar friends and started to promote her book link by messaging each and one of them. She saw Jamiro's account of her elder sister's childhood friend, whom she knew as well since he was always in their home before. He was even treated as an adopted son by his parents since they were all girls and no boys in the family. A message popped in... "Hi, Alliah. How are you? So you're an author now?" the message came from. Jamiro and Alliah were so happy. "I am fine. Thank you for accepting my request. Yeah, I am a newbie author now and I am asking for your help to like and share my link as I am gathering around 500 followers," she replied excitedly. She wasn't like this before with him. With years of sales experience and covering servicing Alliah in her previous jobs, her shy and quiet personality improved well. She's now a smart and jolly one. She knew how to approach different people now. Jamiro noticed her difference when she was young and now that he had communicated with her again. It was 30 years already and he was so happy when he saw a friend request from her. A flashback of his memories with her suddenly came in. A quiet type of teenage girl who used to run inside her room every time he and other friends of her elder sister visited their home. She's pretty intelligent compared to before, as she used to wear her beautiful smile in all of her photos on her account. He started to browse her photo gallery and was amazed at how beautiful she'd grown well. Their youthful memories were so special to him. That was the time he wanted to pursue her, but she was only a 14-year-old shy girl before. As much as he wanted to approach her at that time, she used to detach herself from all people who wanted to approach her. It was to his surprise that he learned that she was the one who had approached him now. Thanks to the latest trends and technology nowadays, social media helped him reach his long-lost girl, Alliah. He had saved some of the photos from her gallery for his. He stalked more of her gallery and timeline as this almost shared with him her story. He was surprised to see that she had a cute little son and hadn't found any photos of her husband in her gallery. He then saw posts that she was a single mother. What fate will it be? He's still a bachelor after 30 years. A smile was painted on his lips. "Hmmm, I think there is already a bridge between our past. This time, I will pursue her. I will never get rid of her starting today," he smiled while still browsing Alliah's profile. He remembered everything from her. Details and until she was already in college, Jamiro used to follow her, though he hadn't had enough courage to express himself as he was afraid to stain his relationship with Alliah's family, especially her parents. They treated him as their very own son. Their age gap was quite questionable then, as Alliah was still young. He put his mobile phone with Alliah's profile picture as his wallpaper. "I still love you, my girl. You are my first and only love," he kissed the screen of his mobile phone while still wearing the sweetest smile on his lips. Meanwhile... Alliah finds it a bit odd after having her conversation with Jamiro. She browsed his profile pictures as well and said," Hmmm, he seems so mature now. Perhaps he had a family already." Allioah felt her heart beating fast as well. She could help it, but she found it a bit exciting knowing that she had contact with Jamiro already, who was also her sisters' friend. Alliah continues to search for more new friends on social media to spread and share her novel's link. She needed to ask for more likes and followers for her book to be signed. Jamiro and Alliah started chatting with each other since then. They never failed to chat every minute, every hour, and every day. From the moment they open their eyes until night when they need to part ways and say good night. Jamiro finds it hard to say goodbye and goodnight to her every night they need to sleep already. Alliah then, couldn't help herself but get along with Jamiro. He seemed to be part of her writing journey then. She used to wait for his message every time she opened her eyes every morning. She was so happy reading his messages and sending some photos while he was on duty, same as with Alliah, who started to send photos of her activities once in a while too. They seemed to be connected already. No more words to say, but they seemed to like each other well. "Have you taken your dinner already? It's quite so late and you are still writing," Jamiro sends a message to Alliah. "Yup, just a bit more. I'm just writing a fight scene and I'm so engrossed with it. I still need to do some research to make it realistic," she said. Jamiro sends a link to fight scenes for martial arts. "I think this could help. Watch it first," Jamiro said. "Wow, thank you so much, Jam. It will be a great help," Alliah was so grateful to Jamiro. Jamiro smiled. He is so happy helping her, even just as little as this with her. He wanted to take care of her.
