I furrowed my brows at Luca and he straightened. “I just want to know how Alexandra is doing. That baby is really important to her,” he said and looked away from me.
“Thankfully nothing happened to the baby or the mother. They are both fine. But would require a lot of attention and care going forward. At least until she has fully recovered,” the smiley faced doctor said.
I nodded. “Thank you,” I mouthed.
“Can he see them?” Luca asked.
“Of course,” the doctor smiled before excusing himself.
I went into the room while Luca waited outside. Alexandra just lay on the bed while rubbing her belly. She looked very weak. When she saw me come in, she turned away immediately.
