Chapter 28: Ray Ioda.

It's 5 o'clock in a Sunday morning. In a certain room of the 3rd floor of the Million Years Academy. And in that room, There's a young man. Meditating on the ground.

Then, A few moments later, He put his right hand to the ground and lift his whole body up while keeping his left arm on his side.

For 1 minutes, He keep holding that position. Then, He go back to a normal position.

"Today is the day. Where I go to Eis house and fight his father."

The one who said that was Ray Ioda. Somehow, His voice was filled with confidence despite just few days before he was nervous.

"Thanks to Dream lesson, I can feel that I'm getting stronger. Let's hope that I don't need to use Absolute Counter on Eis Father."

Ray walked to the bathroom and take a shower. After that, He get ready by wearing a formal clothes. Then, He grabbed his 3 Weapons Core and go meet Eis.

"Did you wait long?"

Ray said toward Eis who's waiting at the front gate. Right beside her is a black car.

"Not that long. Before you have a duel with my father, Why don't we go for a breakfast?"

"Alright."

Ray said normally. Eis was surprised at Ray condition.

"Wow Ray, You look really good today. You don't feel nervous anymore?"

Eis asked. Ray look at her and then answered.

"No. Since I beat Dream in our last training session, I don't feel that nervous anymore."

Eis was shocked hearing that statement.

"Wait... You won against Dream?! That feat is impossible unless you're miss Elaine or Lily!"

Eis screamed in the car. The Butler can be seen very uncomfortable because of the person he served screamed loudly.

"I know! That's why it boosted my confidence so much! Also, Because of him, I managed to make a new technique!"

"Do you think you can beat Father with that technique?"

"Depends. If Dream can be defeated by this technique, Everyone can. I just need to wait for a perfect moment."

Ray was talking with voice full of confidence. Eis was relieved seeing him acting like that. That means that Ray will win against her own father.

"Well then, I guess I don't need to worry about you."

"Yeah. Leave it to me."

The Butler who's driving, Can't help but smile after hearing Ray statement. Then, They arrived at a restaurant.

"We're going now, Dion!"

Eis said to the Butler.

"Yes Milady. Take your time."

Eis took Ray to the restaurant. They sat down on a table for two and started ordering their food. Not too long after that, Their food come. They ate without talking about anything.

Eis doesn't want to disturb Ray focus. She look into his eyes and saw the determination inside him. So, Eis just smiled at him and enjoy her food.

Then, They went back into the car and drive back to the Academy.

"Oh? Look at that!"

Eis said while pointing at the gate. Ray look to the front and see the whole Student Council. Dion park the car and Dream comes toward Ray.

"Yo Ray. You're quite late aren't you?"

Dream said. Ray was confused by Dream.

"What do you mean I'm late?"

"Well, You see... A man called Alvin Glatzier approached me earlier. And he asked me the location of you. So... Can I assume you're late?"

Ray was shocked at that.

"Oh crap! He's already here?! I must be quick!"

Ray ran toward the Academy.

"No. He's in the Gym right now."

Dream said toward Ray. Ray look at Dream and smiled.

"Thanks!"

Ray immediately ran toward the Gym. Everyone walked toward the Gym.

"You're late. Young man."

Alvin was there with his sword out and he let out an intimidating aura.

"I'm really sorry sir."

"It doesn't matter. How about we settle it right now?"

Ray smiled and take out both his red sword. It seems like he was going all out from the start

"Yes sir!"

Then, Elaine appear out of no where and stand between the two of them.

"Wait a minute. Let's wait until the other arrived too."

"Hm? Phantom Fist? If you say so, Then we shall wait."

Alvin said. He stares at the door waiting for the other to come in. Not too long after that, Everyone walked in together.

"Ah sorry~ It seems like we hold back your time after all."

Dream said. Alvin stared at Dream with intimidation aura. Dream was not amused by that. But, He hold back despite that.

Everyone was getting worried looking at Dream getting ready to pop off against him. But, He remember that this is Ray match.

Everyone let out a big sigh after they know that Dream held back his bloodlust.

"Let me make a prediction. Ray 100% going to win this in one hit."

Dream said while sounding really annoyed. Eis look at him confused.

"Why do you think that?"

"Let me tell you about Ray new technique called Absolute Counter."

Dream said seriously. Everyone started to listening to him while keeping their eyes on Ray.

"So, The way Ray new technique work is by breaking his own limit in just a moment, He can see the world moving slowly. While that was happening, His speed and power increased by 200%. Along with his red sword. He can literally destroy anything."

Everyone gulped after hearing Dream explanation.

"That's... Terrifying."

"Haha. It sure is~"

Dream laugh as he remembered Ray managed to defeat him with that attack.

Then the match started. Alvin immediately jumped toward Ray without hesitation. Ray lowered his body while holding his sword firmly with both hands.

"And that, Ladies and Gentlemen. Where the match has ended."

Dream said. Everyone immediately look at Ray movement.

In that moment, Everyone notice that there was blood dripping to the ground. And the source of that is Ray nose.

As Alvin was getting closer to Ray. Ray can see his world lose all its color.

'Ah... This feeling again.'

Ray thought to himself after looking at an unfamiliar world. He look at Alvin movement carefully.

'There huh.'

Ray notice an opening in Alvin move. And that's opening is right at the side of his body.

'He might be able to block this but, I just need to bust through his defense!'

Ray planted his feet to the ground. He grip his sword even tighter. His nosebleed become even stronger. The muscle on his leg was bulging. He was getting ready to strike.

"Block this!"

As Alvin jumped toward Ray. Ray vanished from his vision.

"What?!"

Then, In the corner of his eyes, He saw Ray swinging his sword toward his side with all of his might.

"Ray Style: Absolute Counter!"

Alvin panic and put his sword to block the attack. Ray sword hit Alvin sword. Shattering the whole thing in an instant.

"Wha!!!"

"AARRGGHH!"

Ray swing his sword even fiercely toward Alvin. Alvin stared at the sword approaching closer to him.

"You win..."

He said quietly. Elaine catch that phrase and then jumped in to block Ray attack.

Her body was glowing orange. He forcefully catch Ray sword and stop it.

"GHHH..."

In the end, Elaine managed to stop Ray sword. But, The cost was quite big.

"Despite me using 6 Chaos Essence, He managed to snap my wrists... This is terrifying..."

After she stop Ray technique, Elaine wrists has received a big impact.

Dream immediately moved in toward Elaine and Ray and offer both of them high ranked potion.

"Here miss."

"Thanks."

Dream put the Potion at Elaine mouth.

"Ray. Wake up!"

Dream hit Ray on his head and wake him up.

"Oh Crap! I passed out from that..."

"Here. Drink this."

"Thanks Dream."

Ray take the Potion and drink it.

Their injuries immediately recovered.

Elaine talk to Ray.

"Congratulation Ray! It seems like you have reached the peak of your technique."

"Thank you miss..."

Ray was flattered after hearing that from Elaine.

"Yup. Not only you managed to beat me with that, You broke Miss Elaine wrists despite her using all of her Chaos Essence."

"Eh?! Really?!"

"Yup. That technique is really terrifying."

Ray was shocked after hearing what his technique did to Elaine.

"Dream. Let's go back up. Let Ray and Eis handle this thing."

"Ah. Sure."

Dream and Elaine jumped back toward the viewer. Everyone was surprised seeing Ray Absolute Counter in action.

Dream face was looking really smug. It's like he was saying 'See what I told you?'

Then, Eis walked toward Alvin and Ray.

"Now Father. You realize how strong Ray is right?"

Alvin stared at his daughter.

"Yeah... It's hard for me to admit it but, Young man... I leave Eis in your hand."

"Yes sir!"

Alvin stand up and walked toward the exit. He then stared at Dream.

"Next, I want to fight you!"

He pointed at Dream. Everyone was shocked at that. Eis immediately moved toward Alvin.

"Father... You really want to fight him?"

"Yes. I can feel a strong aura within that young boy."

"How about that Dream?"

Dream hearing that immediately jumped down and stared at Alvin in his face.

"Let me see. If you can withstand this. I will fight you."

"Bring it on!"

Dream and Alvin standing right in front of each other. Dream let out his usual smile. And looking at that, Everyone immediately said.

"Ah.. It's over."

Dream immediately let out a small bit of his bloodlust. Alvin shivered in place.

"You... Who are you?"

Alvin asked Dream.

"Listen. I'm Dream Enpierce. You nobles should remember that name."

"Oh?! You're the one who his highness gave the same privilege as the Phantom Fist?! Now I know why your aura is so strong."

"Yes I'm. Now, You still want to fight?"

Alvin smiled at him and said.

"No. I don't want to die today."

"Great Decision."

Dream jumped back toward everyone.

Eis chuckled at her Father.

"Dream is the strongest student in here Dad. If you just lost to Ray, Now imagine fighting someone who 10 times stronger than him."

"Nope... I don't even want to imagine that."

Alvin walked out and went back to his mansion.

"Now then Ray, Shall we began our party?"

"Eh? Party?"

Suddenly, From behind, His head was covered with something.

"MUUUH!"

"You're loud Ray!"

Dream hit Ray on the neck and immediately take him to the Student council room. He tied him in a chair.

Few minutes later, He woke up.

"MUUU!"

Ray screamed. Dream take off the bag from his head.

"What was that for?!"

"Sorry Ray~ This is really necessary for Eis plan to work. So, Let's all enjoy it!"

Suddenly, Eis walked in with a bunch of stuff.

"Wait... What are you going to do to me?!"

"Ray. Sit still. Please~"

Ray immediately sit still. Eis was bringing a lot of clothes. All of them, Is for cosplay.

"Pfft..."

Everyone was looking at him while laughing. And then. Unexpected thing happen.

Lily immediately hit Dream on the neck. Making him passed out.

"Nice job Lily!"

Eis gave her a thumb up. Lily give one back.

"Pfft. Eat that Dream."

Ray laugh at Dream.

Dream was quickly tied up and immediately moved right beside Ray.

Jasmine and Krim look at both guys awkwardly. Their face was saying 'Sorry for not being able to help you!'

Dream wake up and found himself tied up.

"Ah crap... Lily... You won't do what I think you're about to do. Right?"

"Dream~ Please sit still~"

"B-But!"

Dream said awkwardly.

"What?"

Lily stare straight into Dream soul. Dream shivered.

"No... Nothing..."

Lily smiled really big. Both her and Eis started to Dress Dream and Ray to their liking. Both of them was dressed as Butlers.

Ray was in his elements due to his work in a cafe. While Dream looking very awkward wearing it.

"Eis... If you want to see me wear Butler outfit, You can just come to the cafe. It's weird wearing it here..."

"Eh~ But I want everyone to witness your coolness!"

"Ghh..."

Ray can only grunt at that. There's no way that he can reject Eis Request. But he look at Dream knowing that Dream is even more uncomfortable than him.

But when he look at Dream, Dream was really into his character.

"Damn it Dream. Why do you really into this?!"

Dream look at Ray.

"Why you say? I enjoy these kind of things you know. If anything can make me look cooler, I don't care about it."

"Really?"

Ray was in disbelief.

Everyone was looking at them with bright face.

"Both of you... Cool!"

"Now then, Let's walk around the Academy!"

"Sure!"

Dream said. Ray was confused by that.

"Ha?"

In the end, Ray was forced to follow them around with Butler clothes on. He look at Dream who enjoy this situation and think to himself.

'Well, Let's just do this I guess...'

Ray quickly change his attitude to how he was in the Cafe. Calm and Collected.

After school, Ray immediately went out to his Cafe to do his job.

"Welcome~"

"Sorry for the wait. I've encounter some things..."

"No worries."

After he walk inside the Cafe, Ray friend immediately welcomed him.

"How's your relation with you Girlfriend Parent?"

"It's going great now. Due to Dream, I managed to beat him and get his approval."

"Ah! Congratulation! I'm really happy for you."

"Thanks James. Now, Let me get changed first and then we can open the cafe."

Ray go inside the worker room and changed his outfit. Then, He start to work.

After work, He goes back to his room and take a bath.

"Ah... Tomorrow I'll fight Dream one more time. I hope I can win again."

After quite a while, Ray finally done bathing and immediately went to eat. After that, He spend some time with Eis before going to bed.

The next day. When people was having their training session. Elaine said this to the whole crowd.

"Etto. Everyone. Let's see the battle of 2 strongest male students in this Academy."

Everyone immediately screamed loudly with excitement.

"Now. This is a special fight because, Ray finally reached the top of his style. And we're about to see two people in the peak fight it out. So, Give them a room and watch them."

"Yes Miss!"

"This is also a great chance for you to learn something from Dream and Ray."

After Elaine said that, Dream and Ray immediately moved to the arena.

"Well well. Looks who's bearing his fang to the king."

"Watch out now Dream. My fang right now can even made the King bleed."

Dream and Ray was emitting an intense pressure. The crowd shivered from that pressure.

Then, Dream and Ray laughed. They shake their hands and take some distance.

Dream and Ray was smiling at each other. Dream hold his Halberd while Ray hold his swords. The student gulped as they watch Dream and Ray jumped at each other.

Dream swing his Halberd down toward Ray. Ray swing his swords up to counter the attack.

Fwush!

The gust of wind from the impact is really big that everyone feel it. When they look at Dream and Ray. Their weapon was hitting each other. Not moving a single inch.

Then, In that moment, Ray immediately pushed Dream halberd to the side. Then, Ray spin around and swing his swords toward Dream neck. Dream glared at the blades before he fall down to evade the sword.

In the middle of that swing, Ray immediately force his hands down. His swords immediately change it direction.

"Wha?!"

Dream panicked and roll to the side.

"Recall!"

He take back his Halberd and stared at Ray with a smile.

The crowd let out an impressive 'Ooooh!'

"He managed to corner Dream in an instant. Truly remarkable."

Elaine commented. Everyone seems to agree on that comment about Ray.

"Damn Ray! That's really terrifying!"

Dream said. Ray look at Dream and smiled.

"Thank you! Now, Let me do that again!"

Ray jumped toward Dream. Dream change his Halberd to Chains. Suddenly, That chains appear right below Ray and chain his legs up.

"Oh Crap! I messed up!"

Ray immediately realized his mistakes once his legs was chained down. Dream jumped toward him and swing his leg toward Ray. Ray immediately swing his Swords toward Dream leg.

Dream circle around his swords and kick Ray back.

"Ghh!"

Ray managed to activate his Iron Clad before getting hit by Dream kick. But, He's still chained down to the Ground.

"No choice..."

Ray immediately take out his Red Sword. He shouldered the sword and close his eyes.

With all his power, He slammed the sword to the ground. Breaking the floor. Dream chains immediately loosened up and Ray jumped from the Chains.

"Nice tactic. If my Chains Doesn't work. How about this!"

Dream Chains vanished. He jumped toward Ray with nothing but his fists.

Dream swing his right fist toward Ray.

"So you've chosen. Death!"

Ray hold his sword with both hands. He hold the sword tightly. Ray stared at Dream slowed down movement. He tasted iron in his mouth. The blood dripping from his nose went inside his mouth.

He grip the sword tightly. He waited for the correct moment to strike. But then. He realize something.

"Phantom Step!"

Ray immediately snapped out of his Absolute Counter world and jumped to the side.

"Correct. I'm surprised you notice that."

When he hear Dream voice behind him. He felt Dream hand touched his back.

"Oh shi-!"

Ray was cut off as he was sent Flying by Dream. Then, Dream appear right behind him once again and kick his back.

"Ugh!"

He was sent flying to the other way. Dream appear right in front of him and kick his belly.

"Agggh!"

Ray was sent flying to the wall.

Boom!

Dream appear right in front of Ray while swinging his fist.

This moment. Ray once again see the world moving slowly. He didn't have his sword at this time. So he immediately spin his body around to gain rotation and kick Dream side.

Dream notice that and before the kick landed. He immediately put his hand to block the kick.

"Ray Style: Absolute Counter!"

Ray kick sent Dream flying.

"Ghh!"

Dream felt a crazy amount of pain coming from his left hand. He notice that his left hand is unusable because it was shattered.

Dream hit the wall but immediately jumped out from the wall.

He look at Ray who's passed out standing with his right leg still up. The blood still flowing from his nose.

"Ray!"

Dream immediately take out a high ranked potion and moved toward Ray. He lay Ray down to the ground and immediately put the potion in his mouth.

Then, He wake up.

"Oh Crap. Did I passed out again?"

"You sure are you dumbass."

"I guess I lose then."

Ray smiled at Dream.

"No... Let's not say that. How about we called this a Draw? You managed to shatter my whole left arm."

Ray look at Dream left arm and get terrified.

"Oh crap. Sorry about that."

"No. Don't worry about it. I just need to drink a potion and it will get healed instantly."

"Heh. Well, The fight is over now."

Dream immediately pick Ray hand and pull him up. Then, The sound of applause can be heard all across the Gym.

They look at the viewer and smiled at them.

Elaine from the seat threw a potion at Dream. Dream catch it with his right hand. He immediately drink it. His left hand glow and back to normal.

Dream and Ray walked out of the Gym toward the Cafeteria to eat.
