Chapter 29: Checking on the Place.

It's been a few days since Dream and Ray last fought. In that amount of time, Ray has been trained by Dream to optimized the use of his Absolute Counter. After going through hell that Dream created for him. Ray finally managed to use his Absolute Counter without any side effect of the activation.

Ray was thankful for that. And he treat Dream something nice. And right now, Both of them are in the Cafe that Ray and James manage.

"So Dream. If I'm not mistaken. Today is the day we're supposed to visit Manamoa right?"

Ray ask while looking at Dream who chewing on his food. Dream swallowed his food and look at Ray.

"Yeah... It is today..."

Dream said awkwardly. Ray look at him with a suspicious look.

"You forgot didn't you?"

"Well, It's technically tomorrow we look at the place. After all, We need to wait for Miss Elaine. If my prediction is correct, We should be on our way at 8 o'clock tonight."

Dream take out his note and give it to Ray. Ray read the note and nodded.

They went back on eating their food. After they done eating their food. James comes toward them with two pairs of the Cafe uniform.

"Well then. Ray, Dream. How about you guys get to work?"

Ray immediately take his clothes. Dream was sitting there confused.

"Wait. I didn't work here!"

"I mean, Why not? Come on now Dream! You can be popular with the girls!"

James said while hitting Dream shoulder.

"I mean, I'll do it. But not because the girls okay? Lily would kill me if I work with that mindset!"

"Ahaha! Sorry about that! I forgot that you also had a girlfriend!"

Dream take the uniform from James and get changed. Then, Dream and Ray went out with their uniform looking really cool.

As they open the door, There's a lot of ladies already sitting in the table. Ray immediately moved to James to check on the order. Dream was taken by surprise by the amount of people that James and Ray always take care of.

"And there's only two of them here... I wonder if they didn't get pressured by the Ladies."

Dream mumbled. Then, Yoga immediately talk to him.

'You see Master, The ladies here were just looking at Ray and James. Because their appearance is so cool, They can look at them for a long time. And now that you're here, I feel like they will stare at you now. As the matter of fact, Some people already stared at you!'

"Eh?!"

Hearing that from Yoga, Dream immediately realize the amount of eyes looking at him. It surprises him of how well he was accepted by the customer.

So he ignored all those stares and went toward James and Ray.

"So, What do you want me to do here?"

"Dream, Take care of this!"

James handed him a load of papers. Dream inspect the paper and see that the papers that James handed him is an order.

"Alright then. Let's get cooking!"

Dream immediately grab all the ingredient and a knife. Because the menu isn't that much, They didn't have to worry about making multiple thing at once.

After they done with the cooking, All three of them immediately moved to serve the food. Dream ignored all the blushes from the Ladies and just handed all of them the food. The ladies asked a lot of question to Dream. Dream answer some of it.

After a couple of hours. They finally done for today. They closed the Cafe.

"See you later Ray, Dream!"

"See you James!"

James went toward his home while Dream and Ray went toward the Academy.

"By the way. It's gotten cold recently. I think fall is almost over."

"Yeah. It's just a couple of days before Winter arrived. To be honest, I'm not looking forward for the Winter."

Ray said. Dream immediately ask him.

"Why? Is it because the air is too cold?"

"No... I just hate clearing the snow up. I can't train properly with snow in the field."

"Ah that huh... I feel like everyone hate clearing up the snow."

Dream look at the sky. The sun is nowhere to be seen.

"Ahh... I can't wait to go to Manamoa. It's been a long time since I went there."

When they arrived at the Academy, They immediately take a bath. After that. Everyone meet up in the Student council room.

"Now that everyone here. We just need to wait for Miss Elaine to take care of her business."

"Yeah. Due to her business with the king, She will arrived here with her car immediately. So, When she called us, We can immediately go to Manamoa."

"I think we're going to arrive there tomorrow morning. It's a mountain after all."

"Well, Manamoa has its own road to the top. So, It shouldn't take us that long to arrived there. But still, All of us need some sleep."

Everyone was talking to each other while imagining their trip to Manamoa. Finally, Dream and Lily ear piece started to vibrate.

"Oh? Is this it?"

Dream and Lily immediately take the ear piece to their ear.

"Hello Miss?"

Dream said. Then, Elaine immediately speak through the Ear piece.

"Dream. I'm in the front gate. Gather Everyone and go here!"

"Okay!"

Dream look at everyone and nodded as a signal to go. They walked out of the room and head straight outside.

After they arrived at the gate, Everyone immediately saw Elaine standing right beside the car.

"Oh! You're guys here. Let's get inside!"

Dream get in the front. Behind him is Jasmine and Lily and behind them is Ray and Krim.

"Everyone. Keep your guards up. It's already night so... There's a lot of predator roaming around."

"Yes Miss!"

Elaine immediately press the pedal with her foot.

"Let's go!!!"

In an instant, She immediately take off with a high speed.

"WAAAA!"

Everyone screamed after she did that. She and Dream are the only one enjoying the crazy ride. The people in the road immediately ran away after seeing Elaine car.

When they were out of Nova and in the road. They feel like something was looking at them.

Dream cautiously look around to figure out what has been spying on them. When everyone notice what Dream is doing. They immediately started to look around as well.

Then. A big pressure come from the right side of the forest.

Elaine stopped the car. They look over to the right and see a beautiful white wolf. The fur was shining from the light of the Moon. It's such a beautiful form that everyone see.

The wolf jumped toward them without any pressure. Everyone calmed down and stare at the Wolf.

"Oh human. Are you the one who's been coming to my place and brainwashing my kin?"

The Wolf talked with a soft voice. But, Hearing what its say, Everyone get confused. The people that was surprised by that was Dream, Elaine and Lily.

"No. It's not us! But. Can you tell us more detail about that incident?"

"Hm. So, Around a week ago. There's a woman coming to my area. Because of that, I command my soldier to drive away that woman. But, Not a single soldier returned. I lost contact to all of my soldier. Which mean that they either Die, or get taken over from me."

Hearing that same scenario, Dream, Lily and Elaine was pissed.

"Oh Human. Why are you getting so angry?"

The wolf said. It sniffed the three of them and said that word.

"Oh! I'm sorry. But, This actually happened to the Dragonkin too. And We know who the culprit is!"

Dream said with a pissed tone.

"Is that so?! Then this matter shall be dealt quickly before any more race get taken over by that woman!"

"Don't worry about that. We will take care of her when the time come. But, We don't know where she is. So, If you have any sort of information. Please contact us!"

The wolf immediately glow with while light. It turned into a really beautiful woman wearing some sort of kimono.

"I'm Fenrir. And I shall assist you with all my power."

Fenrir said with full confidence.

"Great. Sometime in the future, Let's all have a talk with Albert the Dragon Sovereign regarding this matter."

"I shall wait for that time to come."

Fenrir smiled and disappear from our vision. Everyone was confused on what they were talking about. But, Elaine, Dream and Lily keep their mouth shut for a while longer.

Even when Ray, Jasmine and Krim asked them, They were hesitant to tell them. So they keep that information to themselves. But, Dream tell Ray that he will tell him when the time has come.

And that time will be when He, Elaine, Lily, Albert and Fenrir. Have a talk somewhere regarding the Anne Incident.

Then, They drive for a while. They stopped by the time it reached midnight. They just sleep in the car comfortably. Then, Few hours later when it still midnight. Dream and Elaine wake up and keep driving.

Elaine chug some drink to keep her awake. Dream was keeping an eye on the surrounding. Dream and Elaine take this chance to talk about the problem while everyone was asleep.

"Now that only both of us are awake, What do you think of the situation with Fenrir Dream?"

"I think it's really sad. She worked really hard to keep her kin safe but, Anne come in and take it all from her. It just makes me despised Anne even more now."

"Come to think of it, We didn't look for her that often didn't we? Should we work on that?"

"No. I don't think we should look for her. I just feel like it's impossible to look for someone called the Manipulator don't you think?"

Elaine went silent on that. She nodded at Dream.

"To be honest with you miss, Yoga said that I'm their target. Yoga said that I'm a perfect vessel for Chaos. So, I really doesn't want to chase after her. If they trapped me, It's the end for all of us."

Elaine nodded. She keep her eyes on the road. She started to get really piss for no reason.

"That b***h. I'm going to break all her limbs and crush all of her organs..."

Elaine true thought was leaked out. But, Dream understand her frustration.

"Well, All of us felt that way miss."

They keep Driving until they finally arrived at the lake where the Skate Competition will be held.

The time they arrived at the lake is 10 o'clock in the morning. So they immediately make some breakfast near the lake.

"So this lake is going to be completely frozen in the winter huh."

Dream muttered.

"Yeah. This is the place where we're going to held the skating. It's really deep so, We need to make sure that when the ice broke, There will be no casualties."

"Don't worry about that miss. I'm the lord of the Sea. Nothing can get wrong with water as long as I'm there."

"Yeah. So, make sure that the ice won't break at any given point!"

"Yes~"

They sat down near the fire and eat their breakfast.

Then suddenly, Something comes out from the water.

"Hm? Alligator?"

Dream said while eating his food.

"Hey. Do you guys like Alligator meat? We get some here!"

Hearing Dream say that, Everyone look at him. And then they look at the Alligator.

"Is it tasty?"

Ray ask.

"It sure is! If you cut the fat, It really tasty!"

Hearing that, Lily immediately summon her Katana.

"Lily Original: Flash!"

Instantly, The Alligator was killed, Skinned, and Cut into pieces.

"Let's eat it~"

Everyone was shocked by that. But, They didn't say anything toward it. They cook the Alligator meat and immediately eat it.

"Wait a minute. I just want to warn them to not get out when the competition started."

Dream walked toward the Lake and activate his Leviathan Mark.

"Um... All of you who lived in this Lake. I want you to hear me. When the Winter Started. Don't do anything stupid to the human here. If you try to do something. I will kill you. Got it?"

Hearing Dream command, Every single living being in that lake jumped.

"Great. Now that you know that. Don't attack us either. Or you'll get eaten."

Dream walked back toward the Fire and deactivate his Leviathan Mark.

"I guess that's another way to protect people..."

Elaine mumble.

After they done checking on the place where they would be holding the ice skate competition, They walk toward a steep slope. Where they planned to ski competition.

"Yup. That conclude our sight seeing. And now, Let's get to the very top of the mountain to look for a legend!"

"Wait, What legend?"

Hearing Elaine said legend, Dream immediately ask her what is she talking about.

"So, There's a legend that on the top of Mountain Manamoa, There's a lady in white that control snow and ice. And Dream, You should know what I mean right?"

"Ah! Don't tell me."

"Yes. You'll get her Mark! Just like My Specter Mark and Dream Leviathan Mark. You'll get a Mark called Aurora Mark. And that Mark will enable you to create snow from nothing."

Everyone immediately get excited.

"That means we also get Chaos Essence?"

"Yup!"

"Then Let's go!"

Everyone went back down, Get in the car and head straight to the top of the mountain.

When they were going up. They can see a hail in the top. But, The doesn't fall down. It only circle around the top.

"So. The legend are  true..."

Elaine said. We stop the car right below the hail of snow.

"Well then Everyone. Whoever get the last hit on Aurora, They will get the Mark. And because of Dream and I already have a mark. We will try to not kill it and get it for ourselves. Though, It is possible for one person to get a bunch of mark for themselves."

"Yup! So that way, We can all get equally strong. I don't care which one of you get the Mark because We will try to find more Legend like this so that Everyone can get a mark for themselves!"

Elaine and Dream explain the situation toward them.

"Oh! So We will hunt for Marks! That's alright then! Now I don't feel bad if I didn't get the Mark!"

Lily said. Everyone nodded on that. It seems like everyone also think like that.

"Alright then, Let's go!"

Elaine and Dream lead the way toward Aurora. For a couple of minutes, They ran while dodging the hail. Then, When they reach the top. There were a throne made out of Ice. And right beside that is a golem made out of Snow with an Ice armor and Blade.

"Now. All of you fight Aurora. Me and Dream will take care of the Golem!"

"Yes!"

Dream immediately summon his Halberd while Elaine use her gloves.

"HYEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAKKKK!"

Aurora screamed. It made a bunch more Golems for Dream and Elaine to Deal with.

"Well well.. That's unfortunate. I can't use my halberd like this."

Dream said. He realize the situation he was in due to the amount of Golem there are.

"Bow of Invidia."

Dream Halberd change into a Bow. He immediately pull the string.

"Simultaneous Activation!"

Around Dream, There's around 12 Black Arrow formed.

"Yoga, Put Auto Tracking on it!"

"Yes Master!"

Dream hold the String for a long time while Elaine keep the Golems attention.

"Dream! Are you done yet?"

"Yes!"

Elaine jumped back toward Dream and Dream let go of the String. The Arrow become bigger and bigger. It hit the Golem right on the chest and penetrate the whole Body.

"There we go. Now we just need to watch everyone else."

Dream and Elaine keep their guard up and watch the others.

Jasmine start the fight off by Launching 3 fire Dragons to neutralize Aurora attack. Then, Krim moved toward Aurora and swing her dagger.

It hit the left side of Aurora Cheek. Aurora glared at Krim and open her mouth. Blue Beam started to form.

"Crap!"

Then, Looking at that, Lily immediately moved toward Krim with her Katana. The Blue Beam was shot right toward Krim and Lily.

"Lily Original: Half Moon s***h!"

Lily swing her sword Down toward the Blue Beam. But, The beam keep shooting.

"Lily Original: Lunar Strike!"

Then, From her Katana, She shoot out a blue Aura that slice The beam and launched toward Aurora.

Aurora was shocked and immediately she tried to moved from there. Lily Lunar Strike cut down her right arm.

"GAAAAAAH!"

Ray took that chance and jumped toward Aurora. Ray swing his Red sword toward Aurora.

"I got you!"

But, When he was about to hit Aurora, Aurora turned her head toward Ray and shoot him with the same beam!

"s**t!"

Ray immediately was blown off by that Beam. He stab his sword to the Ground to slow down his speed.

"s**t! I could just use my Absolute Counter and killed her there but, I hesitate a bit."

Ray was pissed off by his decision. So, He charged once again toward Aurora. Ray Jumped toward Aurora who was looking at the Other Running.

"GRAAAAAAH!"

Aurora Screamed. Then, From Lily, Jasmine and Krim legs. Ice started to formed and froze their legs in place.

But Ray was unaffected by that because he was in the air at that point. Using that chance, Lily immediately Distract Aurora attention.

Her Katana turned into a pure white wings in her back.

"Wings of Caritas: Heavens Flurry!"

Suddenly, Her wings started moving on its own. The Feather was moving individually and shoot toward Aurora. Aurora saw that and Screamed to make a bunch of Ice shard and shoot it toward the Wings.

The Feather hit the ice and destroy it. While that was happening, The Feather Bounce back and shoot toward Aurora again. Aurora was forced to keep making Ice shard to keep up with Lily Heavens Flurry.

"I'm sorry to inform you but, I'm not the real threat here!"

From Aurora Blind Side. Ray hands was ready to go. The muscle was bulging and the veins popped.

"Ray Style: Absolute Counter!"

Aurora realize that but, It was too late. A really big Impact hit her body.

"AAAAH!"

"DROP DEAD!"

Ray swing his sword down with all his might and crushed Aurora into the Ground with all of his power.

The Snow was blown off. The Hail stop. When they look at Aurora Body, It was shattered into pieces.

"Uwaa.. Gruesome..."

Everyone thinks.

But. In that amount of time. A ball dropped from the sky and head straight toward their hands.

"This is Chaos Essence. Eat it!"

Hearing that, Everyone put the Chaos Essence in their mouth and swallow it. With this, Everyone Chaos Essence was increase by one.

And from Ray Hands. A Mark appear.

"Congratulation Ray! You now get the Aurora Mark!"

"Eh?"

He was surprised by that. He look so happy after Receiving the Mark. Then, Dream walked toward Lily.

"Hey Lily, Why do you let Ray have it?"

Dream ask. Then, Lily answered it really sweetly.

"I don't need it right now. I don't think that Mark suits my style of fighting that well. And also, It will be nice seeing Ray and Eis collaborate using their Icy power together!"

"Oh you got a point. Next time I found something, I will help you get that Mark!"

"Thank you Dream!"

After that happy little celebration. They all ran back toward the Car and went straight back toward Nova. By this point, It's already night. So, They go down to the foot of Manamoa and sleep there.
