Chapter 12: Rainbow comes after Rain.

As the Goblin army charged toward Dream and Lily, The Goblin Lord also not that far behind them.

"Let's kill all the small fries first!"

Dream said. Lily nodded. Dream immediately unleashed his Technique.

"Dream Style: Sky Eater!"

Without hesitation, Dream held the Halberd by the end of the handle. He strengthened his Arm. He swung the Halberd Down without any hesitation. As soon as it hits the ground, People can see the ground and the sky split in half.

But, The Goblin Lord is already in front of Dream. Blocking his Halberd of Ira with its sword.

Dream and Lily shocked seeing that. Seeing how Dream technique is blocked like that is the first time for them. Especially Now that Dream had Halberd of Ira.

Lily immediately jumped toward the Goblin Lord.

"Lily Original: Half Moon s***h!"

Lily swung her katana to the neck of the Goblin. The Goblin immediately swung his sword to block Lily katana.

"What the hell?! This guy probably a good target to let out our skill!"

"True!"

Dream and Lily doesn't feel afraid even though their technique doesn't had any effect. They feel excited.

"Halberd of Ira: Black Crush!"

"Katana of Temperantia: Light Sharpness!"

Dream Halberd is covered by a black mist and Lily Katana is covered by a white mist.

Dream swung his Halberd Down once again and Lily Swung her katana sideways.

A Black energy fill up the forest. And a white s***h can be seen going in an incredible speed.

Every single Goblin in the forest died, Except the lord. As it covered in wound. It still the lord. He can't be dealt without any caution.

"Lily..."

"Yes. I know."

Dream and Lily change their weapon. Chains and Wings appear.

They decide to use their Skill on him. As they would also unlock Yoga and Gava new form.

"Chains of Acedia: World Judgement"

Dream Chains went crazy. It moved in an incredible speed. It wrapped around the Goblin Lord body. Then, A bunch more chains coming from inside the ground. The chains Ties the Goblin Lord down. Then the chains that rising from the ground, Form a some sort of Spider Web of chains that can't be broke down.

"Wings of Caritas: Heaven Rains!"

Suddenly, A bunch of feathers filled the sky. It all facing toward the Goblin Lord. It rained down to the Goblin Lord and after it hit the Goblin Lord, It fly to the sky again and Rained down again. It an endless amount of Attack. The only way that it can stop is when Lily want it to stop.

Using the World Judgement and Heaven Rains, It created an unstoppable combo that will Kill everything.

The Goblin lord, Quietly fall down. As it disintegrate to ashes, 2 Orb flew toward Dream and Lily. They look astonished by the orb.

"This is the Chaos Essence huh."

As Lily was charmed by the orb, Dream immediately put it in his mouth and swallowed it.

"What is this?!"

Dream can feel a surge of power going around his whole body. His body is shining orange as that happened.

Lily immediately jumped to the Train and swallowed it.

She feels the weird feeling that Dream felt.

As the two of them shining orange, the villager stared at them. They finally stopped shining.

The Villager immediately cheers both of them.

"Oh, Both of you! Thank you for saving this village. Both of you is our heroes! Please let us praise you!"

Dream and Lily immediately freaked out by the Villagers. But, They know that they just saved a lot of people. So, They want to enjoy it a bit more. They went back to their inn and held a party.

They have a merry time. Until they had to leave to go back to Nova.

"Oh Hero who saved us. Thank you. If You ever comeback here again, We will welcome you with all of our power!"

"Thank you. We will definitely go back here to see you guys again."

Dream and Lily waved their hand. Now, The rain has stopped. The sun has shine once again. They felt stronger than even. Due to the Chaos essence they absorbed.

Dream let out his chains. Lily hold his chains and let out her wings. They flew away toward Nova.

"It's a great time huh..."

"Yeah. They are nice. I hope we ever get the chance to meet them again!"

Dream and Lily smiled at each other. They up their speed toward Nova.

They arrived at Nova at midnight. Lily and Dream was exhausted. As soon as they arrived at the dorm, They sleep immediately in their own room.

Because of Elaine power, They can skip school. So, They sleep from 3 AM until 12 PM.

After they woke up, They immediately went to Elaine office to report their success.

"Great job! I know you can. Now, Starting next week we're going to go on a vacation. So. This week, You're free to do whatever you want."

Dream and Lily decide that they would attend school normally. After one week of absent, They will start to go to school again.

"By the way you two... I notice something from you two."

Elaine said while giggling.

"Are you two dating now?"

Elaine hit the bullseye. Dream and Lily nodded.

"Congratulation! I'm happy for both of you. I hope you can last for eternity..."

"Thank you miss!"

Dream and Lily get flustered hearing that from Elaine.

After talking to Elaine in her office, Dream and Lily decide to go to a restaurant to have their food.

"Well, At least miss Elaine support our relationship."

"Of course she would. I actually talk to her before you confess to me... I'm also planning to confess to you. You beat me to it..."

"Hahaha... I guess that's alright."

They talk casually. They're really tired because of Goblin Lord. So they don't want any part of fighting right now. They won't even talk about that topic. They just talk about life.

"Lily... I want to visit your parents."

Dream said to Lily.

"I supposed it's alright. My parents is a good person. I think My dad will be alright with you."

'Oh Thank God' Dream thought.

He was nervous about visiting her parents. Especially her dad. Because He knew that every dad love their daughter.

"Well, let's put that aside for now. Let's focused on what's in front of us. I can't wait to go to a vacation with Everyone!"

"Same. To Miss Elaine Private island. I wonder what facility it had."

"Probably something cool right? I hope we can be together a lot more though..."

After that talk, They pay their bill and went back to their dorm. Lily went to her friend room while Dream take a nap in his room.

As Dream open his eyes, He notice that he isn't on his bed. He was falling deeper into the blue. His vision got blurry. He feels like he can't breathe. Then He notice that he's currently drowning in the water.

Dream tried to move his body but, He just can't. He started to panic. But, He realize that this is his Dream.

'Is this a vision of some sort? Why am I falling even further to the deep? Is my dream trying to tell me something right now?'

Dream thought. He immediately think about anything that could be this Deep Ocean. He come to a conclusion.

'Power. My power. Am I going to drown in my own power? I see... I guess I need to be careful from now on.'

As he realize that, He felt like his back touch the bed again. He woke up with a bunch of sweat dripping on his body.

Dream take a deep breath to calm his body. He immediately felt disgusted by all the sweats. He took a shower to clean off his body.

He engraved that Dream he got before this to his brain. As he doesn't want to drown in his own power. The big amount of power that he had. He need to be careful to not to go crazy about it.

He want to talk about this with Elaine or Lily. But, He's afraid that they might laugh at Dream. But, He need to tell them about it. So he decided to give the two of them a call.

"Miss Elaine, Lily. Are you guys free?"

Dream talked through his ear piece. He waited for answer from the two. It's currently 7 PM. So, They should be free.

"Yes, I'm here."

"I'm here too!"

Elaine and Lily voice can be heard from the Ear piece.

"I want to talk about something. Can we meet up?"

Dream ask. Elaine immediately gave her permission to meet in her office.

"Yes, Come to my office now."

Dream went out of his room and meet Lily. They went downstairs to go to Elaine office.

"So... What do you want to talk about."

Elaine said. Dream answer her question with a worried face.

"I have a dream... I was drowning in a deep ocean. Usually, That kind of dream is telling people something. So, I came to the conclusion that My mind is telling me to be careful to not drown in my own power. Do you know anything about this miss?"

Dream explain his situation to Elaine and Lily as short as he could. But they immediately catch on to what he mean.

"Honestly Dream, I don't know anything about that. I'm actually surprise you even remember your dream."

"If that what your mind said, You should listen to it. Just hold yourself back for some time now. If you went even stronger, There's a big chance what your mind afraid of would happen."

Elaine and Lily immediately gave their thought on his dream.

Dream take that to his mind.

"Alright then. I will stay low for a couple of days to see the situation."

"I think that's the correct choice. Lily, Watch Dream condition. If something bad happened, Immediately call me."

"Yes miss"

After talking to Elaine about it, Dream and Lily went back to their own room. Dream go back to sleep to search for answer.

Dream wake up in the morning normally.

"Damn it... In the end, I don't find anything in my sleep..."

Dream muttered. He went to take a shower and prepare to go back to normal class.

As Dream and Lily went to class, People were surprised seeing them. Julius immediately greet Dream.

"Hey Dream! How are you doing? It's been a while since you go to class."

"Hey Julius. I'm good. I'm finally back from my trip."

Dream and Julius as usual, Bump their fist as greeting. Julius didn't stop there.

"May I ask where did you go?"

"Lily and I get a job from Miss Elaine in a Village called Rizzu."

"Rizzu? That village in the other side of the mountain?"

"Yup. It's a nice village. The people there is great. They are really polite. The view there is also stunning."

Dream recall his trip to Rizzu. It made him want to visit them again. Even though it's not even a week since they go back to Nova.

"So, How the situation here Julius?"

"Not that much Different. Miss Elaine gave us a rough training session."

"I guess it's because Summer Vacation is coming up. Anyway, It's nice to be back."

As Dream and Julius have their conversation, The bell rang. Elaine immediately went inside the classroom.

"Morning Students! Today, We're not going to do the usual training. We're going to have fun!"

The students immediately cheers. Dream immediately wondering about how tough really the training she gave them.

"Dream and Lily succeeded their first official job. So, We're going to have fun for their sake!"

Without any hesitation, Everyone go out the classroom and head to the field immediately.

Dream talk to Elaine for a little bit.

"Miss... How hard do you train them?"

"Eh? Umm Etto..."

Elaine can't answer Dream question. As she doesn't know how hard it exactly is. Dream immediately found the answer.

"Alright then miss. No need to answer..."

Dream immediately follow the group from behind. He can still see the awkwardness from Elaine face.

They went to the Field to play some soccer.

Dream can feel that their aura is different.

'They really train hard huh...'

Dream thought. Their body seems to be more built.

Dream think this might be fun playing with a people that are stronger than usual. But, No matter how strong they are, They can't defeat Dream because Dream already absorbed a Chaos Essence.

It's 5 vs 5. Boy only. For the Girls, They were just talking on the side while watching the boys play. That's the plan. But, The boys had different plan.

They know that they can't defeat Dream. So they made it Dream vs Everyone. Obviously Dream always like challenges. So he accepted it.

The match is started with the ball on Julius and others. Dream can only get the ball if he steal the ball.

They immediately let out a high speed pass. Dream can see their motion. So he immediately cut through the pass.

"s**t! Fall back!"

As soon as Dream got the ball, They went back to protect their goal. The only one who went to stop Dream is his best friend. Julius.

"Well well Julius. I guess you really want to defeat me huh..."

"That's everyone goal you know? We train to defeat you!"

Julius immediately sweep his leg to steal the ball. Dream roll the ball back and to the side. Julius seems to know that would happen, So he try once again to steal it.

Dream roll the ball to the other side. Julius follow the ball. Dream notice that Julius body is focused to the ball. So Dream fake Julius.

Dream move his leg to the side try to kick the ball. Julius weight focused on his side. Dream kick the ball to the other side and bust through Julius defense.

Julius try to grab Dream shoulder. But, Dream already gone.

Dream ran toward the goal in an incredible speed. They immediately move to stop Dream.

Dream doesn't waste any time at all. He immediately Shoot the ball. It curved to the left and went perfectly to the top left corner.

"That's 1 for me. Let's see if you can even score one from me!"

Dream taunted his classmates. A fire suddenly lit inside their heart.

They immediately start once again. They pass to each other and reach near Dream goal. They entrusted the ball to the Dan Twins.

"Too obvious."

Al and El pass to each other trying to confuse Dream. But Dream knows that Al is the core of the twins. So When El pass to Al, Dream snatch it immediately.

Dream kick the ball to the other side of the field. It's not a shoot. Rather, It's a pass. To himself.

Dream immediately charged to the ball. While the ball is at Dream reach, Dream look toward the ball and face his back to the goal. Dream jumped and fall back. As he fall, He kick the ball.

"Yes That's a stylish Goal!"

Dream get excited after that one goal. The girls cheers on him after that goal. Dream smiled as he enjoy the game.

As the other team already felt that they lost, Only one person still excited.

"Dream. This is Great!"

Julius still fired up to play with Dream.

Julius get the ball and charged straight to Dream.

"Well well. Look how someone try to impress his girl!"

Dream said to Julius. Julius smiled awkwardly hearing that.

"Look here Dream. I need to impress Aiko alright. If not, She might get impressed by someone else."

"Don't worry Julius. No one is going to impressed her other than you. After all, You're already impressive enough to go head to head with me."

Julius smiled hearing that. Julius immediately shoot the ball. Dream jumped toward the ball but, It's too late.

It's a goal to the center.

"Haha! Julius, You're great man!"

Dream said after seeing that goal. They keep playing until Dream obliterated them. In the end, The total score is 5-1. The only goal they get is Julius incredible Goal.

Dream immediately went back to Lily.

"How is it Dream? Is it fun?"

Lily ask. She handed Dream water bottle. People were surprised seeing that.

"Yes. It is really fun."

Dream answer. He drank the water immediately.

"Now, It's the girls that who's going to play."

Elaine announce. The Girls stands up and walk inside the Field.

"Well, Good luck Lily."

Dream said to Lily. Lily waved to Dream. Dream stand up and walk to the cafeteria. He bought a supplies for Lily when she's done.

"I wonder what she wanted after the match...."

Dream said while looking at the menu.

"She likes something sweets. But I doubt that she wanted something sweet after the match. Agh... I don't know what do get..."

Dream is still confused about what to get. In the end, He just bought something sweets. Then he go back to the field to see Lily.

Lily match is a normal 5 vs 5. And Lily team won by 3 points. Lily immediately went to Dream. Dream gave her a drink.

As usual, People was confused by their action. Dream and Lily was awfully close to the public eyes. They don't know what are the two relationship. Even though Dream and Lily pretty much gave it away by their action...

Elaine suddenly announced something that took away the happiness of the students.

"Now that you all had fun, We're going to go back to our training!"

'You Demon!'

All of the students face look so disappointed.

"I agree... This is why they look so worn out huh..."

Dream also thought that Elaine is a Demon Teacher. They just accepted the fact that they're going to go back to training.

The training that Elaine give to the students is what she use when she train when she was young. And the difficulty is impossible.

Running for 2 hours, Extreme Core training, Extreme Legs Training, Extreme arms training.

"She want to kill all of them with this?"

Dream think that, This training regime is easy because he does this type of training for 5 years. Probably even harder than this. But, For a normal human this can kill them...

Dream enjoy the training he did. Dream can get through Elaine Hellish Training, Lily and the other cannot. So they were currently laying on the ground while panting for air.

"Wow Dream. You withstand my training?"

"I mean, It's easier than my training."

"What? This is easier? How hard do you train then?"

"Really Hard. I don't want to told anyone because it's a secret"

'My Training consist of 5 straight years of training, good food, and a medicinal bath.'

Dream thought. Elaine immediately impressed by Dream. Then, She started to get excited and smiled.

"Dream, How about we fight? I will teach you about something that you don't know."

"Alright then. I do not hate to fight people that want to teach me something."

Hearing Dream and Elaine talk, Everyone immediately forced their body to sit.

Without any sign or anything, Elaine and Dream already started.

Dream and Elaine immediately punch each other fists.

I need to be careful with her technique. She can use Phantom strike to attack me from anywhere. And She can use Phantom Step to make a decoy. And I don't know what is she hiding.

Elaine swing her fist toward Dream once again. Dream blocked it by gently pushing her hand back.

"Phantom Strike!"

Elaine use her Phantom Strike to attack Dream. Dream analyze the area around him and search for any weird movement. Every time he detect a weird movement in the air, He immediately blocked it.

"Phantom Step!"

Suddenly, There's a bunch of Elaine that running toward Dream. Dream jumped back to opened up his vision to keep track of all the clone.

"Not a bad decision!"

Dream hear Elaine behind him. Elaine swing his fist toward Dream once again. Dream spin around the fist and circled around her. Dream swing his hand at Elaine. She vanished.

"Tch, It's a decoy!"

"Correct!"

As Dream were distracted by that, From up top, Elaine swing her hand down.

Dream can't block it in time. Instead, He attack.

He kick Elaine hand toward the side. Then he spin around to kick with his other foot. Elaine easily evade Dream kick.

The audience is excited seeing Dream and Elaine fight.

"Now Dream. You were wondering what I was hiding don't you?"

"Yeah. I was wondering about what is you want to teach me."

"I'm not good at talking about it. So, Just see it yourself."

As Elaine said that, Dream become wary about her. Suddenly, Elaine aura become stronger. Orange light can be seen pouring out from her. Dream and Lily recognize that.

"Chaos Essence?"

Dream said. Elaine smiled and said.

"Correct. Let me show you how I use it!"

Elaine charged at Dream. She's so fast that she can't be seen. Dream, Crouched Down due to his instinct. And Elaine can be seen kicking toward Dream.

"Ho, That's good. Let me do this to you then!"

The Orange Light Started to become stronger. Dream immediately said.

"That's the power of 2 Chaos Essence?"

"Right. Now, Use Your Chaos Essence and evade this!"

Elaine vanished once again. Dream looked around for her. Suddenly, He felt like something about to hit him on the side. So he immediately put his hand to there. Elaine Punch hit Dream arm.

"It Strong and Heavy!"

Even though Dream already block the punch, He still get pushed back by the punch. This immediately put a smile on his face.

"I get it now miss!"

Suddenly, Dream body also covered in Orange Light.

"Hoo? As Expected from the Prodigy. In just a single look you already know how to unleash the Chaos Essence!"

Elaine smiled seeing Dream growth. She immediately panic when Dream vanished from the field. She realized something and immediately put her hand up to guard.

Dream punched her arm and send her flying.

"Dream Style: Cloud Nine"

Dream vanished once again. Elaine realize this pattern and immediately focused her guard for the next attack. She know that the next attack will be Fallen Angel.

"Nope, I'm not that predictable!"

Instead of slamming her to the ground, Dream push her even higher to the sky.

"Another Cloud Nine?!"

Elaine surprised by that. Dream smirked looking at it. Now, She need to focus on the next move. Either she's going to go even higher or to the ground. Each technique have a different technique to stop.

While Elaine was thinking about what technique Dream will be using. Dream already moved toward her. She doesn't have time to think about blocking. So, She use her own technique.

"Phantom Step!"

Bunch of Elaine clone appear in the sky.

"Oh snap. I don't know where she is now!"

Dream stop his movement after seeing it. While he was distracted by that, Elaine is already behind him. She swing her fist toward the unguarded back. Dream vanished.

"Miss, Did you forget that I also can use Phantom Step?"

Elaine was surprised yet again by that.

"I forgot that you can copy other people technique!"

"Lily Original: Energy Blast!"

After Dream use Elaine Phantom step, Dream also use Lily Energy blast. It blast Elaine and sent her flying. As she hit the ground, She vanished.

"What? Clone again?!"

Dream get tricked by her again.

Elaine Orange Light become more and more stronger.

"3, No 4 Chaos Essence?!"

Dream were surprised by the power spike. Dream put all of his might on blocking her last attack.

Dream eyes, The eyes that can see anything. Can't even pick her movement. So, Dream relied on his instinct. He closed his eyes and focused on all of his other senses.

The sound of wind, ground shaking, anything that can be a clue to Elaine location. Is being pick by Dream.

"There huh..."

Dream put his hand up and cross it. Elaine let out a really powerful punch to Dream arm. It send Dream flying across the ground and even shattered his bones.

"I guess that's it for my hand..."

Dream said. He can't put his hand up to guard anymore. But, He still have a fire inside his eyes. Elaine is impressed by his spirit.

"To honor your fighting spirit. Let me use my last Chaos essence!"

Elaine Light started to become stronger once again. Everyone can feel the power from the light. They were afraid to see that. So, They respect Dream for keeping up with that.

"Haha! Nice! If I'm going out, I'm going with a Bang!"

Dream, Charged at Elaine. He uses his last weapon to try and fight Elaine. His legs. But, As expected, Elaine become too fast for a human to see. She immediately knocked Dream out by punching his stomach.

Dream, fall on his knees and look at the sky. As he loses consciousness he said.

"That was fun... Miss, You're too strong."

Elaine complimented Dream for his effort.

"Be Proud Dream. You managed to made me uses all 5 of my chaos essence. And you even still have a fighting spirit after feeling it. Now, Rest."

As he heard that, Dream smile and close his eyes.

People clapped after seeing that Fight. Lily immediately went to Dream side.

"Lily, He's a great man. You're lucky to have him. Don't forget about this lesson. You also have chaos essence."

Elaine told Lily before she left to prepare the medical room.

"Dream, Good job..."

Lily smiled at the Unconscious Dream. Julius immediately went toward Dream as well.

"Let's bring him back."

"Yeah."

Julius and Lily pick Dream up gently and bring him to the medical area to treat his injury. As Expected, 1 Chaos Essence isn't enough to bring down the Strongest Protector. But, Dream gave her a hard time with just 1.

"I wonder how strong he will be if he had more Chaos Essence. I look forward for his and Lily Growth in the future..."

Elaine said. She had a great expectation for Both Dream and Lily.
