Refused and insulted!

"You shouldn't be so overconfident. I don't think that girl is so forward that she'd end up in your bed on the first try," Advocate Chen teased him. Archie started to look at him angrily. Everything Chen said, he was taking it as a challenge. His glare was enough to shut Chen immediately. "Such a thing has never happened before, and it never will. I know how to ensnare that girl. I am telling you not to knock my bedroom tonight." Archie said, fixing his collar and sleeves. "Then go ahead. She's already here," Chen pointed towards the counter. When Archie turned to look, indeed, there was Celeste wearing a white chiffon top and a black short skirt. She kept pulling her skirt down as she was little uncomfortable with extra short skirt rule that Archie made few days before. She was busy serving beer and snacks to a customer as soon as she arrived. Archie picked up his diamond pendant box and walked towards her. Advocate Chen watched with excitement. Until now, no girl had ever rejected Archie. If he set his sight on a girl, she would be in his bed by the night. But those girls were quite different from Celeste. Archie stood in front of her but she was so busy that she didn't even notice Archie, which annoyed him a bit. He tapped on the counter. "What can I serve for you, sir?" Celeste was arranging drinks. Archie felt so neglected. 'This girl is acting hard to get. Deliberately pretending that she didn't see me.' Archie thought. "You." Archie spoke instantly. Hearing the response, Celeste turned around and was shocked to see Archie standing there. She was flabbergasted for a moment, she just gave the excuse of being busy and that person is already at her workplace. "What are you doing here?" Celeste looked around nervously. Now this person appeared her more like a pervert who was chasing her. "Can you please come with me? I want to talk to you," Archie asked her politely. Celeste raised her brow. This person definitely came for her. If her manager saw her talking to someone, she wouldn't let Celeste off the hook. "What do you want to say? You can say it here." She continued working without looking at him. Archie never felt this neglected. She was acting as if he didn't even exist. Archie turned back and saw Chen was looking at them. Archie bit his lip and turned to her again. "I want to talk about my grandpa. I think you are the last person he met before dying. Please." Archie pretended to be so emotional. He could not lose like this. Celeste found him getting upset, so she got ready to come with him. "Okay. But I will come with you only for ten minutes," she said. Archie furrowed his brows at hearing this. They both arrived in the private lounge of the club. "Say. What do you want to tell me?" Celeste asked him. The cold temperature in the lounge was making her shiver as the chilled air was getting into her knee-length skirt. She rubbed her elbow. They both were alone in the lounge, and she wanted to leave that place as soon as possible. Archie took the box from his jacket and put it in front of her. Celeste was stunned to see a maroon-colored velvet box. It was not something ordinary. "Open it," Archie asked her. She was baffled and picked up the box. She slowly opened it, and her eyes widened at the glimmer of the white diamond embedded between tiny diamonds. Archie smirked when he saw the shocking expressions of Celeste. "What is this?" She asked him. It already looked so expensive, so much that she never thought of touching it. "This is a diamond pendant for you, from me," he said. Her deep green eyes narrowed. She could not believe what he said. Her changed expressions worried Archie even more. If someone else had been in her place, they would be jumping out of joy. The pendant was exclusive and cost almost millions. "Actually, I thought I didn't pay you for grandpa's stay in your house. This is just a small gift from me," Archie told her. Celeste pressed her lips and put the pendant back on the table. "Sorry, I can't accept this gift. I didn't help him for any gift. I just did what any human should." She refused. She met Archie for the second time. She doesn't even know if the person in front of her saying truth. Plus accepting such an expensive gift was not generous, even though she was in urgent need of money. When her eyes saw the diamond pendant, she could only think about the p*****t of her brother's chemotherapy. "Sorry, I don't need it." Archie's brows knitted in the middle, and he crinkled his nose. His ego was crushed within a moment when she refused to take that pendant. "You are really insulting my grandpa. I am giving something worth of his life. It should be expensive." He picked up the pendant in his hand and started forcing her to wear it. "It's the most exclusive from Prada. Do you know the cost of it? More than millions. You have never seen this amount, and you are really a fool to refuse it." He moved her silky golden brown hair aside. As soon as he did it, her beautiful stainless back appeared to his eyes. So silky that anyone wanted to touch it. He pressed his lips, and stared it for a while. He f****d many women before, but her back was so beautiful that it made him want to trace every line with his fingers. 'Excuse me," She called him and he jumped to the reality. He slowly put the pendant around her neck. While doing this, his cold fingers brushed against her skin, and Celeste's skin filled with goosebumps. His fingers felt as if they were pressing against velvet. She was so soft that he was hardly able to refrain himself from touching it. He hooked that pendant and it stayed between her cleavage. It looked more beautiful than Archie thought it would be. Shining 10X more than it was in that velvet box. His eyes just stayed between her cleavage. It already gave him idea how deep it was. He smirked and grabbed her shoulder. Celeste was stunned by his grip. He turned her to the mirror and placed his head on her shoulder. "Look at it. Isn't it so beautiful? You know girls are dying to get this gift," he said to her while watching her in the mirror. Celeste touched the pendant. It must be the first time she got a chance to wear something like this. Diamond—any girl would be ready to die for it. But she knew her fate; she had already lost her gold and money. "No, Mr. Archie. I can't have this pendant." She unhooked the pendant and took it off her neck. Archie was stunned to see it. She was so stubborn that she took off the pendant from her neck. "But why?" Archie asked her. Now she made him more puzzled. "My mom told me once, if we take something expensive from someone, one day we have to pay double the price for it." Saying this, she placed the pendant in Archie's hand and walked away. She stepped out of that private lounge and went back to the bar counter. She continued serving the customers and acted like nothing happened. Here, Archie was triggered by this incident. He looked at the pendant angrily, gritting his teeth, and threw the pendant away in anger. As he stormed out, Chen arrived and picked up the pendant from the floor. Seeing Archie's anger, Chen understood that Archie had failed in giving the gift. "Why don't you try something else?" Chen asked him. Archie stared at him with narrowed eyes. "I am going to do something that she would never dare to refuse." He said and walked to the basement. Chen rubbed his forehead and realized Archie still had not taken the hint he was giving for a while.
