Celeste came back to the counter and started serving drinks at her counter. Even though she was physically there, her mind was still at that VIP longue and Archie's words were playing constantly in her mind like a broken cassette. She was upset about what happened now. Especially when Archie said this. "Look, you could never even dream of choosing a pendant like this. It's around your neck today. You can have many such things if you.." It seemed like he was highlighting the difference in status between him and Celeste. She was thinking about it and suddenly Shasha snapped in front of her eyes. It made Celeste jump out of her thoughts. "What happened, you look upset? Did anyone say anything to you?" Shasha asked her guessing someone might have misbehaved with Celeste like that they or offered her one night stand in the club. Celeste shook her head. "No, that guy. Archie Turner offered me an expensive pendant." She said, Shasha's eyes widened to hear that. She could not believe that. "Really? Did you accept it then?" She brought the ice tray from the fridger and poured it into the insulated box. "I thought you will accept it as you were in need of money." Celeste pressed her lips and couldn't say anything. She baffled if she took right decision after not accepting the gift. She thought about her self respect over the treatment of her brother. That pendant could have saved him. "You bitches. Stop talking in the working hour. Instead of serving customers you both ass hole kept talking." Their manager Miss, Kim Grampton came there. She was almost fourty, but considers herself twenty. But her overly done makeup and undersized clothes on her body show her real age. Now she was pissed on them. "Manager Kim, we were discussing about the drinks that ran out." Shasha covered themselves. It made Grampton more furious. She gritted her teeth. "Whom are you fooling huh? I will cut 200 dollars from both of your salaries this month. Stop talking now and attend the customers." Manager Grampton said and left. This made Celeste even more nervous. This month must be cursed for her, shifting new home, her dad stole her savings and now she was getting less money. She took her mobile and texted Andrew. "Can I pay you a week later this month. Something came up urgent." Andrew was having dinner with his parents. As soon as the message popped in his phone, his face brightened with unusual smile. His eyes creased and his cheeks rose up. He opened the message and texted back to her. "It's okay if you don't pay this month. I don't need money right now." He messaged her. Celeste borrowed money from him for the treatment. Even though Andre refused, she wanted to pay it back to him. Andrew liked her so much that he fixed a certain amount to pay every month. This way he was able to get meet her every month and not only Jack's chemo treatment day. He even calls her to the cafe or restaurent to pay the money so indirectly they go on date. But he also made sure she won't get stressed in order to pay money on time. Hence he always allow her paying late or sometimes allow her to skip a month. He never told Celeste that he was rich just to make her feel like he was one of middle class person. "Who is that girl who made you blush like this?" His mother teased him. Andrew pressed his lips and shook his head. "Yeah, I had never seen you smile like this before. Is she someone special?" His dad tried hard to make him spill it. But Andrew continued eating his steaks. "I know my son. His choice must be the best. He is a famous doctor and son of business tycoon. My son would not choose any ordinary girl." His mother said, Andrew nodded. He wanted to propose Celeste but not until Jack's cancer gets cure. Celeste had focused in it and he didn't want to disturb her. It was late night, almost three in the night. But Archie couldn't sleep; he was very restless. He lay in his luxurious room, but he kept changing sides. The image of that girl kept appearing before his eyes. The way she had returned that pendant, Archie couldn't believe that any girl could ever do that to him. "Sorry Mr. Archie. I don't want this, I don't want to pay double for it when time comes." her voice was echoing in his ears. She indirectly insulted him. Archie got up from his bed and threw the pillow. "This girl, how dare she is! Who the f**k is her to humiliate me like this. I could buy 10 girls like her and make them sleep on my bed." He smirked and ran his fingers through his hair. He started pacing around the room. Her face was etched in his mind. He had never expected that someone would reject a gift from him in such a manner, especially the pendant he had specifically chosen for Celeste. "I need to understand what's going on in her mind, Does that girl came to know about the will?" Archie asked himself. He looked towards the bar in his room, thinking a drink might help calm his thoughts. He poured himself a glass of whiskey and took a long sip, trying to ease his restlessness. "I know girls like her, all trying hard to act innocent, I know it won't last longer." Archie took his phone and called advocate chen. Evening had set in, and the sun had already dipped below the horizon. The Passion Club was starting to get crowded again. Due to it being the weekend, the crowd was increasing rapidly. Both Celeste and Shasha were busy with their work, managing the crowd at the bar counter. Archie arrived late today because he didn’t want to wait for Celeste. Advocate Chen had also come along with him. Archie stood in front of Celeste. Celeste saw him but ignored him. Archie took an envelope out of his pocket and placed it in front of Celeste. Celeste looked a bit puzzled and kept staring at the envelope. Archie gestured towards it. But since Celeste didn’t pick it up, her friend Shasha picked it up and opened it. What was written inside made Shasha's eyes widen in astonishment. She passed the papers to Celeste and asked her to read them. Celeste stared at Archie and continued to read. Even her eyes widened upon seeing it. "What's this nonsense? What kind of joke is this?" she asked Archie. She felt like Archie was making a joke of her just because she was poor. Her face turned irritated. Shasha and Chen exchanged glances. Shasha just raised her brows and asked Chen what was wrong with Archie. "This is for real," Archie added. Celeste shook her head and denied it. "Not at..." But before she could finish what she was saying, Archie went to the DJ and stopped the music. He held a mic in his hand and stared at Celeste in an evil manner. Celeste was baffled as she couldn't understand what he was trying to do. "Ladies and gentlemen, there is no one here who doesn't know me. I am the CEO of the Turner Group and the owner of this club, Archie Turner." Everyone in the club started cheering as he began to speak. Celeste narrowed her eyes; this man was something else. "I want to announce one thing. I am not the owner of this club now..." he said, and the crowd started whispering. The club filled with muttering and gossip. "You heard it right. I just gave this club to Miss Celeste Baker," he said, and the light highlighted Celeste.
