Impossible lover (true story)

Chapter 7

    I went back to work, I was so happy about my driving license and everybody came to congratulate me . It was a little bit strange, I was wondering how they got to know about it and then I remembered, my father. He was the one who told them proudly that I finally got it and maybe anyway they knew that was the reason of my absence. They were all so nice. 

    On the weekend the boys planed a small drinking party by our house only with a few people, but Tyler new boss from the third hall, Tim was invited as well. I was a little bit nervous about that, I knew him already since I worked there Fridays , but still I was nervous because I didn’t really talk with him yet.

I was cleaning all day Saturday before the party or more like get together. When the evening came everybody arrived and we started drinking and talking. I was talking with some girls from my hometown and later I went to see what Tyler was doing. He was talking to Tim on the balcony so I joined them. They were talking about me.

“Here she is.” Tyler said with a small smile, he was a bit tipsy already.

“Hey... what are you up to?” I asked them and sat on one of the chairs what was placed on the balcony next to a small table.

“I was just telling Tim that you want to look for an other job.” Tyler said still smiling. I just nod at Tim and said

“Yeah, I am really thinking about it, two days is not enough, even though I like to work there “ I told him with a sad, small smile. Tim was really handsome , his hair was gelled backwards perfectly, he was about 6 feet tall . He just smiled at me and said

“I understand. You know it’s funny but we were just talking about you the other day with my team leader, we want to hire a coordinator to help for Han with the mistakes and the problems by the third hall. Since you work good you can come and work there 5 days per week if you want...” He said and he let out a big sigh and continued

“The only problem is... the leaders of the first hall didn’t want to let you go because they need you for control on Tuesdays.” He said and looked at me.

“So they didn’t want to let me go because of one day, but they don’t want to give me more days either to keep me there?” I asked, but it was more like a statement than a question. That was really selfish of them, but I need to think about Noah.

“Yes, that’s the case.... but if You go to talk to them and You tell them that You want to work there then they need to let you go.” He said with a smile. My face lit up hearing that.

“I will do that, thank you for the opportunity.” I said to him with a wide smile.

“We need you too, as much as you need us.” He said jokingly. We were laughing, joking, drinking till 3 am. It was a good time, we had fun and finally I didn’t need to worry about the work anymore. I will go to the office Tuesday morning and talk to them.

    The weekend went fast after that. We had hangover on Sunday so we were in bed all day. When Tuesday came I was nervous, I don’t like to talk to people, especially when they are your managers and team leaders and sitting all together in an office staring at you. When I told them what I want they were smiling at me and they agreed with me. They said they will miss me and my hard work but they understand that I need to think about my family, they were nice and I was glad I was over it.

    Today is Thursday and we have a company BBQ with colleagues. A few weeks ago I started to work in the third hall where Tyler was working. Joey and Nora get a job here as well and Andrew in the first hall, but he worked by us Fridays . I was so happy that we were all working together. Joey’s girlfriend Nora was a sweet girl with light brown hair and blue eyes, the opposite of Joey, he has brown eyes, brown hair and tan skin like my mother. He was also the opposite of me, usually the people didn’t believe that we are siblings at first. I look like my father. Andrew was half gipsy from his father side so he has dark brown eyes, black hair and a brown skin so that was more unbelievable that we were related. I didn’t care though, I loved them all so much, I didn’t care what anybody think.

    So as I said I am working by the third hall already. Tim is hot as hell and only 2 years older than me, he is very funny and an easy going guy. I didn’t care about him like that of course, I love Tyler and I don’t want anyone else, but I have eyes and he was really handsome. I wanted my relationship with Tyler to be the same as before, however I didn’t know if that´s even possible, but I will try everything. Especially for the sake of Noah, he deserves a normal family, we are far from normal though.

    As I said today is Thursday and it’s the day of the company BBQ. I like this kind of get togethers, I am very shy though. Now we are not with friends but colleagues so it’s different and I am a little tense.

Almost everybody was present from the halls, but I saw no one from the offices . ‘Good’ I thought, some of them walked around like they owned the world and we were the slaves who must make their imaginations come true.

    In our hall we were like a big family because not so many people worked there, on busy days around 30 persons maximum. We had a fix group about 10 people ,who worked every day, I was one of them and I liked it, I liked to belong somewhere and they liked me too, we were always joking and laughing a lot. Tim was very friendly , especially with us, he was Tyler’s friend I can say, he always gave us extra pauses and he trusted us with plus responsibilities, he had stupid jokes sometimes though. 

    On the BBQ Tim was making a lot of photos about us, I felt a little bit uncomfortable about that, since he didn’t leave me alone. He was keep saying “smile”. I was not so photogenic but I smiled anyway, because he was the one who asked me.
