“Amber, wake up,” A familiar voice calls to me, and I open my eyes. My mother is hovering over me with a huge smile.
“Mom?” I asked, confused.
“It’s time to get up for school, dear,” She touches my cheek, and it feels so real.
“School? I’m not in school anymore,” I say to her. I sit up and find myself in my old room in my childhood home.
“Hurry up, Dylan and Regina are already up and getting ready,” Mom says and opens the door.
“Mom?” I call her and jump out of bed. I run out of the door, but now I am in a forest.
“Amber!” I hear my mother scream.
“Mom!” I scream back.
“Amber!” She screams again as I try to find her.
