GICCA'S POINT OF VIEW
"We should not stay here for too long," Eliote reminded us as he watched us investigate every corner of the mansion.
"Chill down, Eliote. We know what we're doing." Lance spoke coldly to Eliote holding his camera. Capturing every corner of the mansion.
Eliote clicked his tongue, "Just make sure that what you do will not hurt you," he said then walked towards me. I am currently examining the divider—can be found in the living area of the mansion.
Lance stopped what he was doing. He slowly stood up straight and narrowed his eyes as he threw his sight angrily to Eliote, "What do you know about us? We allowed you to join the mission but we did not give you permission to speak and make a comment." He said in a bold and cold tone.
I gulped as I looked at how burned Lance is. I noticed that Ali and Rique also stopped what they were doing because of the sudden release of Lance's mad words.
Eliote just smirked and saw him clenched his fist, "It's funny to see someone like you with a little knowledge but speaks like a genius." he expressed sarcastically.
My hand touched Eliote's chest, "Stop," I said softly to him. They've been arguing, is there no end to it? They both are annoying. How are we going to do the mission if they are always like this? Even Ali and Rique are arguing at all time. I'M LOSING MY PEACE OF MIND! LOSING MY FOCUS! how can we work properly if they themselves don't get along?
"You are too boastful, Eliote. Are you good?" Lance walked slowly in our direction with his fist clenched.
Eliote just laughed softly, obviously annoying Lance. "If you do not know what you entered, do not include Gicca. Do you know that you entered a disaster?" he said in a chill manner.
"Stop motherf*ckers!" I could no longer hold back. I stood between them as my teeth grit in anger, "If you don't stop, let's just give up!" I added.
I glared at Eliote, "You, man!" I shouted at him while pointing at him rudely, "Learn to be quiet because you are just a beginner to this endeavor! Don't be too boastful! Just respect!" I shouted further.
"And you too!" then I shot Lance with a bad look, "Don't think too highly of yourself! And don't be so mad at everything that Eliote does! You people are ruining my day!" this was the last thing I said before I threw the camera I was holding, it broke, I don't care.
"S-Sorry," Lance nodded apologetically.
"Sorry ..." Eliote also apologized.
I ignored them. I just went to Ali's spot and there I continued to look for anything that would help us solve the case. Their constant fighting is really annoying. I feel like I can't reach peace anymore.
I took a deep breath and continued searching for other dividers and drawers found in the mansion. Everything is too dusty and covered with a spider web. It really not been touch for years. Extremely thick dirt. Maybe if we clean it up, it might take us a week before we finally clean it up.
I found some papers in a drawer. I took all of it and put it inside my bag. Everything we find that can give us information towards the case, we get that.
"What the hell, is this Amber's footsteps?"
We were all stunned by Rique, breaking the silence that plays between us all. I hurriedly went to his spot, they all came too. My jaw dropped as I saw a child's footsteps on the tiles. The footsteps are made of blood. Didn't they clean it before the crime took place? The blood on the tiles is very dry and blackened. Obviously, it existed for a long time. It is somehow not noticeable that it is made of blood because it has a mixture of thick dust, but the foot shape is still visible tho.
"Let's grind the tiles. We can use that blood," Lance said as he dropped his bag on the floor and rummaged inside the bag.
"W-Wait, what will you do to that?" Eliote asked.
"Get the DNA? I don't know. We'll do anything that can be done with this. Amber might still be alive, we can use this to track her." Lance replied in a calm tone. It looks like Eliote and him will not be arguing anymore.
"B-But, they already did that eleven years ago... it was negative. No Amber was found," Eliote said.
"That's so amazing..." Ali was amazed as she sat down and looked closely at the footsteps, "We should not depend on the achievements of the police or detectives before. We must compile new informations on our own. You know, might find something new. " she said as she remained staring at the footsteps.
I heard Eliote gulp, because we were just close. I frowned at him, "Why do you seem like you don't want to trace Amber's DNA? Do you know Amber? Are you afraid of anything?" I have a direct question. For your information, I still do not forget about the family name of the suspect in the murder of the Harks. What if Eliote has a connection with them? Yes, I have this question on my mind, but I do not doubt him much, I just don't trust him much either.
He immediately shook his head twice, "I was older when I found out about her case. Maybe I'm just scared of what you will do. Amber's soul might disturb us." he answered seriously, he's terrified.
Rique and I laughed at his answer, while Ali just rolled her eyes at him. "Are you afraid of ghosts?" I asked him.
He pouted, "I have been fearing ghosts ever since," he replied.
"We should have brought a glass." said Rique raising an eyebrow.
"Hmm? For what?" I asked.
"Spirit of the glass," he laughed in response while glancing at Eliote.
"Don't be like that to Eliote. You might give him a nightmare." I joked.
