A Tale of Three Lunas-Completed

Chapter 30

Lorenzo's POV

Fuck. f**k. f**k.

I could not have imagined a worse thing to happen right now. Apparently, my business here with the New Moon Pack is not over and even worse, that blue necklace that is now so famous is in my possession and I have to tell my mate why I have it. I did not want to do this right now.

As we followed our mates back into the castle, Kai informed me that his mate doesn't know that he is her mate or the King. I can't imagine the pain of my mate not recognizing me.

I asked for this girl's, I mean, the future Queen's credentials hoping she was a fraud and I wouldn't have to act on what I know, but she is legit. Soon, Kai is stomping out of the room and Zinnia is signaling me to go after him.

"It could be worse." is all I say to him as he walks away.

"How could it f*****g be worse, Lorenzo? My mate doesn't even recognize me, but I just got to hear her express her love for your mate. She doesn't even know who I am or what kind of pressure she will be under as Queen yet. Its like she's not even attracted to me. She's gonna reject me."

He breathes out a deep sigh, pulling at his hair in frustration.

"Now don't go jumping to conclusions. You don't know anything about her and this project could be the perfect opportunity for you to get to know her and find out why she doesn't recognize you. You don't know what she's been through. It seems like for now, she just might need a friend."

"I knew there was a reason I hadn't kicked you out of my territory yet." he says, smiling and punching my arm. "So why were you so hostile to my mate anyway?"

"That was not hostility. I was just hoping I wouldn't have to disclose what I know."

"What do you know?"

"I know the location of Zinnia's mother's necklace."

"But she said she hadn't seen it since her mother was killed." he says after a long pause.

"I told you it could be worse. I wanted to wait until she was on my territory to mark her, but I'm gonna have to do it soon." Since she is still part of his pack and I am still on his packlands, I have to get his clearance to mark her in his territory.

I tell him about the events of the day her parents were killed in great detail.

"s**t, I remember how distraught you were when you came here to start training. That's what made you leave your father. You have to tell her."

"No, I have to show her, that's why I have to mark her."

I wait on Zinnia's bed for her to come back and when she finally does, she looks so pleased.

"So, you made a new friend." I smile at her.

"I did. She's awesome, she'll be an amazing Queen. She's resilient."

"How are you feeling about all of this?"

"Well, I'm excited that I was able to help her. It seems like she has been under a lot of pressure for a long time."

"Yea is does. Um, can we talk?" I say trying, but failing not to come off too serious.

"Of course." she says, swallowing thickly.

"Great." I pick her up and carry her up to my room and she giggles. I hope it won't be too long before I hear that sound again. I plop her onto my bed and take her shoes off.

"I'm gonna talk and I need you just to listen, okay?" She nods silently and I sit down on the bed next to her.

"I like you a lot too, but the way. I can't wait to learn everything there is to know about you." She suppresses a smile and I know it is because she is waiting for the 'but'.

"But there is something I have to show you. I wanted us to get closer first and I wanted to wait to mark you, but I would have to mark you immediately so I can show you what I need to. Now, do you still want to wait, or do you want to know now?" I ask her, giving her the option.

"I want to know." she tells me without a second thought.

"Okay."

I work at undressing myself and putting on my pajama shorts, cleaning off my bed and closing all of the curtains as I speak to her.

"My father was a cruel man and I never liked him. He mistreated my mother, whom I loved very much. She died from an incurable STD that he got from sleeping with human women. By the time she started getting sick, she was already too weak to fight it because of how his years of cruelty had taken their toll on her wolf. She died in shame and no one in our pack respected their Luna at the time. Either way, before that, he was grooming me to take over the East Moontrail Pack, hoping I would turn out like him. I'm the oldest twin by a few minutes, but even so, my brother had no interest in being Alpha."

She looks at me with a bit of confusion as I speak, and her confusion deepens when I start to undress her.

"Years ago, your pack and my pack attempted a treaty. I'm not sure if you know, but decades ago, we used to be one pack." I unhook her bra from over her shirt, but keep her shirt on. She looks horrified and covers up her body with her hands. So cute. I scoop her into my arms and lay her under the covers, then slide in next to her.

"That is where the story starts." I say, kissing her lips, gently.

"Where does it end?" she whispers.

"We'll get there." I kiss her again, slowly letting my lips tell her how much I care for her. Her soft, pouty lips open slightly and I tongue around her open mouth, letting her enjoy the daze she is in. I know this is going to be painful for her, but I want to make sure she gets some pleasure out of the process as well. I move my kisses over to her cheeks and then her neck. Her soft moans fill the space and her excitement starts to trigger my own. She pushes her chest into me, panting and as she inhales, I sink my teeth into her neck, marking her as mine. She briefly yelps, then shivers, her body going limp from my marking.

Now, she's mine and everyone who sees her will know.

"Sleep, love, go to sleep." I coo her. A second later she is knocked out next to me. I cuddle her and position her so she lays more comfortably. She will need the rest of the night to recover and then she will have to know.

As we lay in bed, I hear Beta Everett's announcement to the party goers outside.

"Well, New Moon Pack, we were here to celebrate the work and departure of the Alpha and Luna of the East Moontrail Pack and we would do well to acknowledge the member of our pack, who is just a regular guy, that found his mate today, but all of those people are missing to lets just enjoy the party!"
