Chapter 13.2 (Decision)

"I WON'T GO..." sabi ni Ali kay Brix. Inis na nakipag-titigan pa sa binata na bigla na lang siyang inaya para sumama rito sa Baguio.

She gave him a stern look and she pressed her lips sa inis na naramdaman dahil sa ilang araw na hindi ito nagparamdam sa kaniya at bigla-bigla na lang sasabihin na isasama siya pa-Baguio.

Ano ako walang isip? Ano ka sinuswerte? Just because you want to eh okay lang at sasama ako agad?!

She then looked and searched his eyes for some emotion na pwedeng makita. Hoping that she could see na namiss rin siya nito. She saw some pain in his eyes, some tiredness, he seem having his own problems at isinisingit pa niya ang mababaw niyang problema dahil hindi lang ito nagparamdam sa kaniya ng dalawang araw.

How pathetic you turned to! Nililigawan ka pa lang pero feeling girlfriend ka na! Pang-aaway niya sa sarili.

She thought about what happened earlier, she felt guilty, dahil kanina ay narinig nito ang mga sinasabi niya kay Lian. She really did not think na pwede ito mang-impluwensiya kay Andrew. She just used Brix's name to give hints to Lian that the latter should not be relaxed too much, that her cousin should not trust too much her husband, for Andrew could make mistakes. And Andrew already did...

"When I say you will go with me then you will..." sabi naman nito sa kaniya na nagpasingkit sa mga mata niya dahil nabuhay ang inis na naman dito.

"And who do you think you are to decide for me?" She said in her voice that it could be iced water dahil sa sobrang lamig.

"Figure it out. Sino nga ba ako para sa'yo, Ali?"

Inis na napabuga siya ng hangin sa lakas ng kumpiyansa nito sa sarili. Binawi na lang ang tingin dito. Parang nanghihinang napaupo na lamang siya sa couch kung saan sila nakaupo kanina ni Lian.

Masama ang loob na napatingin muli sa binatang nakatayo pa rin sa harap niya. Bad thing dahil para siyang uhaw sa pakiramdam na nakatingala rito, para siyang uhaw na mahalikan nito.

Brix gulped dahil nakita niya gumalaw ang adam's apple nito habang nakatingin sa kaniya. He extended his arms and he touched her face, his hand ended on her chin. To the life of her, she let him do that. Hindi siya umiwas sa mga haplos nito.

He touched her lips with his thumb and said, "I really wanna kiss you right now kung alam mo lang..."

"Why are you acting like that?" Napalunok siya sa anticipation na naramdaman. I'm really crazy. I'm totally tempted.

"Like what?" he said as he stopped touching her lips at piniga ng bahagya ang baba niya before he released it from his hands. Napahinga ng malalim at pasandal na naupo ito sa tabi niya.

"Like some boyfriend," inis niyang sabi dito at iniangat ang mga paa sa couch at naka-Indian sit na humarap dito. "Hindi pa kita sinasagot, Brix," pairap niyang sabi. Pinipilit tanggalin ang kakaibang nararamdaman sa mga haplos nito kanina.

"Hindi pa nga..." he said in his tired voice habang hinihilot ang sentido.

She looked at his tired profile. He looked stressed yet he still looked so handsome, so dreamy. He wasn't facing her, sideview lang nito nakikita niya.

His perfectly straight nose was very evident from her sight at nakapikit ang mga mata nito, kung sa pagod o sa stress ay hindi niya alam. Bahagyang nakabuka ang mga labi nito as if he was breathing through his mouth. He slightly bit his lower lip at humarap sa kaniya and he caught her off guard habang nakatitig dito.

"Don't you think it's awkward that you are acting like my boyfriend even hindi naman tayo?" agad niyang sabi para mawala ang pagkapahiya dahil nahuli siya nito na halos tulo-laway na nakatitig dito kanina.

"I don't feel awkward kissing you," he said in his teasing voice, his eyes were obvious looking at her lips.

"Really? Don't you realized that you have no rights to kiss m–"

Brix silenced her with his mouth. Her eyes turned big dahil sa pagkabigla. Brix attacked her again and she closed her eyes because she liked it, she really longed for it. Moment went still as she let him kiss her.

She let him kiss her deeply and without any thinking ay gumanti siya sa halik nito. His tongue entered her mouth and she sucked it. The kiss went deeper and she felt Brix one hand start to caress and traced the sides of her breast and her back while the other one was holding her nape.

She was letting him as she didn't want the kiss to stop. When she felt his hand fondled her breast ay doon siya parang biglang nabuhusan ng tubig, she pushed him.

"Don't you ever tell me that I have no rights, Ali."

HINDI NA UMIMIK PA SI ALI PAGKATAPOS NG HALIK. Her eyes look troubled. Siguradong naguguluhan sa nararamdaman. Kung kailan ito aamin na gusto rin siya ay ito lang ang nakakaalam. That's the problem with innocent virgin woman na dati niyang iniiwasan kaya mas prefer niya ang mga liberated at matured. The likes of Ali are like cry babies, they were tempted to try out of consciousness at iiyak kapag nasaktan.

"You are mine..." he said with emphasis.

"You keep on telling me that and I keep on saying na natutukso lang ako. You could be every woman's desire and I am also a woman, Brix. I ain't exempted."

"You are admitting you desire me now, aren't you?" sabi niya rito na mas naghahamon kaysa nagtatanong.

"What if I do? You will take advantage of it like you always did. Just because I like your kisses makes you kiss me every time you want. You never asked for my permission, Brix! You just kiss me as long as you like!"

"I love kissing you that is why."

"You can't kiss anyone just because you love to. It's an absurd reason, Brix!"

"Absurd? Is liking you absurd?"

"No!" she exclaimed in higher voice, nanggigigil na sa kaniya, "it's absurd kissing anyone just because you want to."

"Since the kiss we shared at the Black Bricks, I never did kiss anyone aside from you so I am not counted with that 'kissing anyone' you're talking about."

"Brix, you really are annoying, aren't you?"

"I don't kiss anyone anymore, Ali. It's just you I like kissing to," he lovingly said to her. Totoo naman. Simula nang gabi na nasa Black Bricks sila ay hindi na siya muli pa naging interesado sa iba.

He sighed. Wala sana siya plano galitin si Ali pero hindi pa rin niya matanggap na kanina ay narinig niya ang sinasabi nito kay Lian na bad influence siya kay Andrew. Ako pa talaga?!

Since na magkasama sila ni Andrew sa company ay hindi na ito nakapambabae. He didn't know pero hindi niya hahayaan na malulong si Andrew sa pangangaliwa dahil ayaw niya masira nito ang pamilya. He was just protecting Lian because he knew how Ali cares for her cousin. If Lian will be devastated, Ali would feel the same.

"Why do you want me to go with you to Baguio?" Ali asked him while her gaze was on the television and movie credits na lang makikita.

"I want to travel with you," he answered at napailing naman ito.

"Because?" Ali faced him, nilingon siya at diretsong tumitig sa mga mata niya.

Hindi siya nakaimik. Bakit nga ba? Ano nga ba ang reason kung bakit bigla niya naisip isama ang dalaga?

"Give me just one acceptable reason and probably I will consider going with you."

"I just want to spend some time with you," he said in his pleading voice that he never thought he had.

Habang nandito pa ako, habang hindi pa ako nakabalik sa nanay kong diktador. Dahil natatakot ako na baka hindi ko matanggihan tulungan si Irina. Dahil baka hindi na ako maging masaya pagkatapos ng punta ko sa Russia. Dahil baka hindi na kita pwedeng lapitan pa sa susunod.

"Please, Ali. I just want to introduce you to my father. I want him to know you personally."

SHE WENT DUMBFOUNDED AFTER HEARING BRIX REASONS. Tulala at naguguluhan na iniwas ang tingin dito. Bakit niya ako ipapakilala sa papa niya? Is he really serious with me? Or is it just his plan to have me?

She flustered at napapikit. Naguguluhan sa nararamdaman. Part of her saying na hindi siya dapat sumama but the bigger part of her ay excited na sumama rito.

"If I will go with you... maipapangako mo ba na wala ka gagawin masama sa akin?" she asked stupidly.

"Promise... I won't."

"You aren't going to ahh... to..." nag-aalangan niyang sabi. Hindi matuloy-tuloy ang gustong sabihin.

"If I want someone to f*ck then I won't ask you to come with me," he blatantly said.

She was shocked by the Brix F word that was used. "Are you... are you sure?" nagdududa niya pa ring tanong.

"I promise you I won't do that with you. You are not some f*ck*ng buddy I had before. You are special kaya nga gusto kita ipakilala sa tatay ko."

"Bakit mo ako gusto ipakilala sa kaniya, Brix? Hindi pa naman tayo, 'di ba?"

He smiled at her. A gentle smile. Then he said, "are you sure to yourself na ayaw mo pa rin sa akin? Na hindi pa rin tayo?"

Napatango siya and about to say something when she heard Andrew's voice... "Lian, just let Ali decide for herself," he gently said to his wife.

Napalingon sila ni Brix sa dalawang palapit. She looked at Lian's eyes. She can see some queries in her cousin's eyes. Probably about the plan of Brix na isama siya pa-Baguio ang pinag-uusapan ng mga ito. She moved her gaze back to Brix and then look back again to Lian and Andrew and said...

"I will go to Baguio with Brix."
